Thanks for the enabling! I think I want one. Now, how much money are we talkin'?

I quickly clicked through some of the earlier posts, and it looks like the cost is $49.95 with a sale price of $39.95. Not sure what the sale price was all about, whether it was a special promotion or what.

The sale price was at the beginning when she was just introducing them and getting the word out I believe.
Even at the non-sale price, I think it is well worth having. I know I have saved $$$ already because my SU stamps don't fall off, after inking, onto my cardstock. Since SU hasn't improved their unmounted stamps ability to stick to acrylic blocks, MISTI has been a much valued tool.
I know I just shouldn't buy SU since it causes me to grind my teeth but I do like some of their stamp images. When I can get the images to stamp where I want them, their quality rubber is great.
Good luck to all who are hoping to 'snag' one!

Thanks I missed that in the posts. So thanks for letting me know.

I know you probably already know by the positive posts, but Misti is worth every penny. My Misti lives on my desk. Iliana is waiting for her foam to arrive!, once she gets it there will be some available. They fly when in stock, so make sure you check out her Facebook page & blog frequently. She had 50 the last time, and they sold out in about half hour. The Misti is $50.00. Get on her mailing list! Here's the links. Facebook-My Sweet Petunia Sweet Petunia Store & Blog
Must have been a lot of people trying to order. I was sitting at the computer, hitting refresh, when the Add to Cart button went live. I tried to check out as quickly as I could, but got an error message at the end of checkout that it was out of stock.
I went back to the order page to make sure, and it said there were 39 in stock. So I tried again, no luck. Went back to the order page again, and it said there were 7 in stock. End result, I didn't get one. Oh, well, but it stinks!

Edited to add: I'm not complaining, too much :-). I'm very happy to see someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, who sees that something is needed to make a process better, and sets out to develop and produce it. Hope she makes lots and lots of money! I really, really want one of these now!
My order went through Petunias checkout to PayPal. I logged in to PayPal okay, but when I hit BUY NOW it choked. Of course when I went back to Sweet Petunia, all the Mistis were gone. Go figure.
Guess I may have to do "onesies" instead of duplicates with the Misti. Ah well, I'm also so impressed with the entrepreneurial spirit of the MISTI creator:(

I wish she would come to an agreement with a large scale manufacturer or go on Shark Tank and get some backing to set up a larger scale manufacturing system.
The creator is working hard to find a manufacturer who can produce bulk.
I applaud ALL of her efforts to make the MISTI available to all of us (at least if we can come up with the $$$). I shudder at the price with shipping, but my husband of 34+ years has finally taught me that my time is worth "something" (he hasn't said how much luckily, HA)
My sympathy goes out to all my fellow crafters whose orders did NOT go through after they were in the cart.
I will be using Jennifer Taylor's One Sheet Wonder Class Templates and the templates at SCS to create my nursing home (80) and family cards a bit quicker and I'm sure no one will complain.
BTW: Js has wonderful deals on scrapbook paper now.
Seasons Greetings to all. ;)

I think she has come to an agreement. Last update I saw, she had to approve the final sample and then they would start talking time tables and preorders.
I hope the price point then reflects the mass manufacturing capabilities if it all comes to fruition so I can afford one.
I ordered one, used it for something (can't remember what now) and felt like maybe I'd done an impulse buy that I regretted (wouldn't be the first time). The project wasn't anything fancy or complicated or anything, so I decided to reserve judgement until I'd played with it a bit more. Yesterday and today I've been stamping the index sheets to go with my laminated cardstock that my stamps are stored on so that I'd have a visual reference instead of just looking at the bare rubber. I was able to put the entire laminated sheet on the MISTI plate (with double-sided tape) and stamp the whole thing at once. Some of the images didn't come out perfect, so I just closed the MISTI up again, re-checked, repeated until all the images were perfect. It worked, and saved A TON of time over stamping each image individually! I'm sold, for sure, and expect to be every bit as impressed when I set about making multi-colored images and/or sentiments. My color-the-stamp-with-markers skillz sukketh, so I need a new method. I'm figuring I can do a section with a color, clean the stamp while it's still in place, add the next color area, repeat - until the whole multicolored dealie-o is done!
I'm as frugal (read: CHEAP) as they come, but I don't mind investing in tools that are going to last and that will help make my life easier and my time more efficient. My guillotine paper cutter wasn't cheap, but I love it. The Big Shot is pricey, but worth it. The MISTI has joined the list of "investment" tools, for me!

Here, here Sue.............I TOTALLY agree, well put!!! I'm lovin my "Misty", the MISTI!!!
Oh I don't mind investing in tools, I just need this in a big box store and then it is between me and the store how much I pay with coupons and sales.
This is my take on Misti ever becoming available in big-box stores. I believe the only way this could happen is if Iliana sold her patent, and she would have to be crazy to sell it. I should say, unless she's offered millions! Companies who sell to big box and chain stores are able to sell their items at a reduced price to begin with, because they have the bulk buying power and resources to reduce their cost. I've not seen products in stores from a one person, one product company, does anyone know of such a situation?

Not necessarily. Depends on who she is speaking to. There are loads of people who design for larger manufacturers and keep their name on it and there are loads of products (stamps, punches, paper, stencils, pens, pencils, scoring tools, etc.) with different names on them.
Didn't Scor-pal start out as an inventor in a shed sort of operation? They still have their independent site and have access through large chains and big box.

Two of my magnets broke already - does anyone know where I can buy more? I need a specific link I think.
Thanks so much!
K
My Home Depot didn't have them. I ordered these from Amazon, Prime shipping.
CMS Magnetics N50 Neodymium Disc Magnet Dia 3/4x1/16" Super Strong NdFeB 10 Ct. $12.95
You can find them on eBay, but after ordering twice on eBay I still didn't get the right size. The Amazon magnets are the perfect size & work perfectly. I did find a store selling magnets of every size. I didn't bookmark it, duh! I'll try to find it, because their prices were cheaper.
How are the magnets breaking? Peeling apart or cracking or ? Other than scaring myself a few times (the magnets jump together), and getting pinched, I haven't had any issues . . . yet. TIA!

They're nickel coated with soft centers. If yours hasn't cracked, it's just a matter of time. The longer one can keep them from hitting each other, the longer they'll last.
