The gallery is back..yay. I thought it was me lol.
Shelly, hope your back comes good. Take care.
I’ve been doing family history research most of today. I have now made 5 samples for March and others so I’m ahead. Back to craft tomorrow. I’m also going back to golf this week...eek...time to get back into life and as DH keeps telling me..have balance..says he who spends 85% of his time on family history...ha! I shall take it easy at golf and start with 9 holes so not all day.
Kathy hope DS is enjoying the new job.
Keep warm and safe everyone. There’s some weird weather your way.
Happy day

Good morning and happy Tuesday. We had 9 inches of snow overnight, the most we have had in years. All the vehicles look like snow sculptures! I’m glad we went yesterday to get DH’s staples out at his regular physician’s office....
... which was a total disaster. The doctor was able to remove 5 staples out of the 12 before DH sprung a leak, and then there was a mess everywhere again. It took ages to get the bleeding stopped, gauze put on the spot, and orders to wait a few days and then go to the ER to have the remaining staples taken out. DH was so upset all over again for falling and causing himself so many problems. Poor man.
My hair has finally stopped the excessive breaking, but it looks really weird. My head is fuzzy with pieces sticking up, and one side of my head is totally white where the color has broken off. I cancelled the hair appointment, I will go ahead and get the 2nd shot, and then wait until I know how my hair reacts to set up the next color appointment, and probably a trim as well, lol, since it is different lengths now.
Jean, I’m so glad you didn’t have any problems with your injection. And I’m watching Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes series right now!
Catherine, your DH is so handy! And I bet Honey looks like a little sweetie! Poor Dusty, she is overgrown and matted, her face is dirty, and she will not let the groomers or me touch her now, she tries to bite. She’s been on antibiotics for two weeks, so now I can make an appointment to get her teeth cleaned. The vet said she should have stopped trying to bite anyone trying to groom her face but that hasn’t happened. So now when she snarls I tell her to stop it and put her teeth away, and she’ll growl and mutter, and I kiss her on her nose, lol. And when she’s not looking or seems to be in a good mood, I trim out some mats.
Kathy, good luck for your DS2 on his new job!
Shelly, you found out more about my hair than I could find. Yes, three months ago is when I had all the symptoms. I’m resigned to having statement hair for a while, lol.
Be safe, ladies!

Morning!
Kandie, glad you are going to get the second shot, you need to be protected! Sorry about Ed's head! Poor guy is right! The silly things we do to ourselves! I slid out of our large van years ago and sprained my ankle. So dumb the way it happened! Just was sitting on the edge and lost my balance, so on crutches with little kids.
We got a few inches of snow last night, not the downfall of near the lake where it was 8 to 12 inches!
Have to get moving, helping granddaughter on sentence structure this morning!
Good morning! We had rain yesterday but, at the moment, it is sunny and lovely out (probably cool, but lovely). We also had fog yesterday which, fortunately, isn't something that happens often. Since I had the day off, I did get to craft a little bit. It was lovely to have the day off.
I wonder if Sally has snow too, where she is in Texas. Her birthday is coming right up (it is on the same day as my mom's birthday was so very easy for me to remember). I hope she's OK, haven't heard from her in a while.
I hope Vickie is recovering well too.
Congratulations to you DS, Kathy, on his new job. I hope he likes it.
Linda, have you gotten snow there where you live before? And yes, brrrr to your temperatures!
Shelly, my card for Kristin will be posted on my way to work this morning. And I agree about pull start motors. Last summer I was helping DH clear the property (he was still working and I had some time) and it involved using the weed eater which is a pull start. I thought I was going to pull my arm off trying to get it started!
Enjoy golf, Jayne, and I think 9 holes is an excellent idea to start back up.
Kandie, your poor DH! As for Honey, yes, she looks adorable but, just last Wednesday, she looked more like Dusty, overgrown, matted, and dirty! I'm sorry Dusty is still having mouth pain and snapping at you. Poor her and poor you! (It is funny how having her hair trimmed makes Honey's eyes look so big!)
I'm glad your hair has stopped breaking, what an unexpected twist!
Sentence structure, Ann? What grade is your granddaughter in?
Kandie your poor DH, is he on blood thinners? Steve has big problems healing, hope they can sort him out without too much pain. Pleased your hair has stopped breaking,
Poor Ed, I hope his head heals quickly and he and get the rest of the staples out! It is so annoying having staples in your head. I feel his pain! I was like him, mad at myself for tripping...but I sure am much more careful now. However, that doesn't always help! LOL
Kandie, glad your hair stopped breaking off...how annoying. I had never heard about that side effect of Covid. We signed up to get appointments for vaccination, but still haven't heard back. I'm sure there are lots of other people waiting, too. It is what it is, I guess.
Wow, lots of snow for so many of you! We just have a mild cold spell. I count myself lucky!
Jayne, I hope you had fun golfing! It must feel good to be out in the sunshine! Don't overdo it!
Catherine, hope you had a good day at work!
Kathy, that's so great that your son started his new job. Too bad the weather is so nasty!
Shelly, I hate shoveling snow and I used to have a pull-start snowblower and could never get it started when I was single...so I always had to shovel. I'm glad I was much younger then! LOL I loved your watercolor painting...so cool! What fun to participate with your DD2. Hope your hip feels better. I have the same issue. I usually wake up at least once to readjust...darn old bones!
Hi Ann, Melody, Sharon, Vickie, Linda, Jan and anyone I've missed. I'm so behind on commenting in gallery. I think I'll go check out your cards now. I'm 2 cards behind now...oops, tomorrow I'll be 3 behind. I'd better get creating again!

Our new snowblower pull starts but it also has an electric start. It pulls easy for DH but if i would have to run it, im grateful for the electric start.
DS2 went home tonight. We bought pizza for supper and he ate and then headed home. The weather isnt going to be too bad tonight into tomorrow night but DH told him to plan to spend the night Thursday night because it might be bad going home and Friday morning trying to get to work. My cat enjoyed having him here again and slept on the cot with him! These first two days at work he's observing.
Grrrrrr, it has been computer problems all day long! I'm ready to toss this MacBook and come after it with a sledge hammer!
On the bright side, our new couch is being delivered tomorrow afternoon! Yay! I can't wait to see it. And DD2 is currently cutting in the ceiling in the hallway and entry so it can be painted. She needs a job and DH told her he'd pay her to paint (why doesn't he ever pay me?! Just kidding.)
Kathy, I'm glad to hear you were in touch with Sally just last week. I'd hit the like button...if it was back! (We had pizza last night for dinner.)
Linda, stay warm. I hear there are parts of Texas with very cold weather and no electricity. They have asked us to conserve electricity in CA so the power can be diverted to Texas.
Yay for your new couch. Im hoping we can find one in stock when we finally start hunting. We can haul it ourselves. We have a truck and a trailer. Just dont want to haul it on messy roads.
Good morning from the deep freezer! 19 below here yesterday. Don’t even know what the wind chill was! Our power was out for two hours yesterday morning, 7-9. Brr! Our bed is cozy with flannel sheets!
I can’t wait until we can quit having a drippy faucet and close our cupboards below sinks! Oh, and run our washer and dryer again. We are supposed to conserve energy, but they still had the rolling power outage yesterday. But we are fine! DH even shoveled a path yesterday to the mailbox so I could mail some cards!
Kandie, glad your hair settled down, now to get Ed healed up. What a year so far, already!
Kathy, glad your DS is on the job again. How nice it is near you, too. That will be handy for times like bad weather.
my craftroom is absolutely a shambles. I don’t know why I can’t craft without getting everything out, and leaving every drawer open, etc, etc. LOL
now to look at challenges. I haven’t been on the site for awhile.
Hotwheels, congratulations on being Featured Stamper.
Morning! Complete heat wave here yesterday with temps at 14*, but today it’s back to 3*!!
My MIL has been having some hair loss issues also and she had a mild case of COVID. Her dr said it’s a COVID thing.
Sipping some coffee during recess. School has early release today, so we do too! Hoping to get a card made this afternoon and then get ahead on homeschool prep/planning.
Ann, you grandkids are lucky to have you! I love teaching stuff to my granddaughters. I still miss teaching my 7th graders...they were so open and fun to be with (most of the time!) LOL
Catherine, can't wait to see pictures of your new couch! All good things come to those who wait! Yay!
We just got emails and are scheduled for our first vaccine February 20th! It will be good to have this behind us. My DS, DIL and granddaughters are going to be in Arizona in April! So it will be great to have had both vaccine shots by then!
Linda congratulations on being Featured Stamper!
Sharon, my room is a disaster too!
Rebekah, yay for early release day...hope you can get some time for crafting.
Stay warm friends! I'm off to play Mahjong soon. Hugs to all!

Good morning from sunny northern California. It, apparently, froze last night as I saw evidence on the cars outside. I hear the guys working hard at our neighbor's house, they are getting new siding on their house. And today is the day of couch arrival, so excited!
I just took some photos of our couch and loveseat. They are very comfortable, they were free, and I am thankful for them however, I have never liked the fabric that they are upholstered with. I have tried various furniture covers but never found one that fit right that we liked.
Yes, Jan, it has been a long time. It was a custom order on Dec. 4th that was supposed to take 6-8 weeks. I figured it would take the full 8 weeks because the holidays were in there. Once the 8 weeks was up, I called to check on it and the salesman told me that the manufacturer had moved locations in there as well causing further delays. Once it is here, I will pick a final wall color to get our walls painted. With DD1 working on the entry/hallway ceiling, I need to pick a new light fixture for the entry too.
Kathy, DH has been dreaming of getting a pickup ever since we moved up to the foothills. We have used our poor Sienna van like a work truck but there are some things we just can't haul with it. Fortunately, my brother lets us borrow his very old pickup which we will be doing to get rid of our couch and loveseat.
Brrrr, Sharon, that is too cold. I'm glad you are fine. Yes, I'm thankful for our flannel sheets too.
Ann, I thought "Oh, gramma helping with grammar!" Of course I did, that's my brain! She is fortunate to have you available to help teach her.
Rebekkah, good luck with your home school planning. That can be such a time consumer - but fun too.
Gracie, do you know which vaccine you will get? I hope it is like how it went with Jean and you have no reaction.
Ladies, you say your craft rooms are disasters, right now, my life is a disaster. But that is what happens when painting is happening. It will be so nice when it is done!
Our temperatures are showing 26 but the thermometer receiver was in the sun just a few minutes ago. It may start dropping now that the sun has moved around to the back. We made a Walmart run this morning because of the bad weather coming for tomorrow. the trip was actually for Mom and Dad. We were going to pick stuff up tomorrow at their appointment but we rescheduled the appointment so we decided to run down today. DH got gas and filled a gas can so we have plenty for the snowblower. he just left for the cabin. He decided to do a little hunting since the weather is going to change again and on his way home he will stop at the pharmacy and pick up my prescriptions. I may have him also stop for milk.
Replacing our sofa is more of a need because it is so uncomfortable. We bought it brand new around 2005. I'm not sure the exact year but I know it was when my son was going to college because the furniture store was right next door. I'm thinking it was the year he started and that we were probably down there for enrollment things. I remember going in and looking around the furniture store and finding this sofa and recliner/rocker. I loved it right away because the sofa had recliners on both ends. I told the salesman I would discuss it with my husband and get back to him. I went out to the car and said to myself who are you kidding? You know he's going to say if you like it get it. So I went back into the store and told the guy I would take it. And I said I'll bet that's easiest sale you've made in a long time. He smiled and said yes that is. We had them deliver it because there was free delivery at the time.
Today's tutorial combines two techniques! Give it a try. I had a tough time finding stamps that would work but when I did it came together rather easily.
anyone around I need help understand this lady instruction on the support part web. It told them Text button was not working for me. She is trying to tell me how use it. But, I don't understand what she is telling me! thanks Linda
It's up to 15 degrees this morning! So warm! LOL! Well feels warmer from the below zero temps.
I'm hoping to get a few challenge cards done today but who knows, I get sidetracked on other things. Will be working with my granddaughter again on her next lesson for a few hours this morning.
Our neighborhood squirrel, so tame it gently takes food out of your hand. He showed up at our front door a few days ago, and I always have a bag of bread to throw out for the birds. Now he jumps up on the outside windowsill every morning waiting for a treat. Take a look at the snow on his nose!
. Oh yes, he also seems to be a camera hog.

Its snowing here. We have about 1 1/2" but it's slowed down. I believe we are to get more later. I think this us just round one. DH went to the store to pick up some bread and some fuel for his leaf blower. She uses the leaf blower to blow snow that isn't real deep. It really works pretty well.

That picture made me smile and i really need a bright spot in my day! Cute!
I just checked and our electric company finally got our payment! I mailed it january 25th and it was due february 8th. They applied it february 11. Im just glad i dont have to stop payment on it because thats over $35! And we should be getting the next bill any day now! That only had to go about an hour away, so im not sure what the holdup was. And apparently it happened to more than just us.
I'm looking forward to card class day because it's on my birthday. I will have extra money to spend because the ladies usually all chip in $10 each which allows me an extra $60 to shop with! they also plan the snacks and I know we're having my favorite seven layer salad. Cant wait!
