Shelly, it is nice for your dh to be fought over. Hope he chooses something that will not make you have to move. What book are you reading for your book club?

Just back from a drive over to my brother's to deliver some baking I did. He gave me some choc. chip cookies to bring home and some choc. covered almonds as well. It is fun to exchange the baking. He likes to cook and bake.

It is pretty nice here today, but rain expected for Friday.

Ann, you will feel great after you have organized.

Wow, Catherine-14,000 steps!

Has anyone seen my mojo, lol?

It hit 91 down the hill today....noooooo! I didn't want to workout when I got home due to the warm weather but can't use that as an excuse.

Shelly, how nice that your DH is a wanted man! Praying you don't have to move!

Kathy, glad you got that bill payment all worked out...sounds like it was frustrating! I hear the Medicare supplemental insurance is confusing and you have to be careful who helps you because a lot of them do not have your best interest at heart.

Shirl, now that Kathy has told you where your mojo is, I think you both should go pick up your mojos again and have fun creating!

And how fun to trade baking with your brother!

I think my mojo is there too, can’t settle to anything

just been for. Lunch on the marina, I’m so full as it’s four courses, a drink and coffee, only €11 each, it was delicious, I had crab salad and fish in sauce, hake, salmon, pau although I’m not sure what that is and a couple of clams, steve had pork knuckle.

Jan, I will have what you had, not what Steve had!
Kathy , we have a County Extension here that offers classes and then you also can make an appointment and they help you with everything. Every year you can make an appointment and review medications , and pick the best drug plan. I bet you have the same there. Very helpful!
Catherine, it has been getting up to 80s here, now it will be a little cooler of for a few days.
I have been getting 10-12k steps a day, walking early before it gets too warm. I have been known to walk at night around the family room to get my steps in for the day. LOL

i did a card for the WTUI challenge yesterday, so got a little crafting in. I think I will go look at today’s challenges. Wash is going right now.
oh, Shirl, that is so nice that you can trade baking with your brother. How fun for you and I am sure and comforting for him.

waving to all of you!

Sharon our son walks around the kitchen dining room to get his steps in! You are doing great a,l those steps, I need to get back to my Zumba but since we did the gardening ive been suffering with my neck and shoulders so I didn’t want to aggravate it.
our weather has warmed so I wore my crop trousers for the first time this year.

I had such a fun time doing the alpha challenge, and am looking forward to next week starting another. Looking forward also to May.......birthdays for three of our grands (Erin 24, Tom 21, Samantha 24), and me on the 12th, 77! Wow! Where does the time go?????????? Mother's Day cards in the mail for DD and two DIL, and a few for close friends and a Cousin.

I've been resting my hands as much as possible. After five hand surgeries (even had bones removed) and arthritis, I save my card making time for the Grands, who still love to get mail from this old lady. I hear from them when they get their cards each week.........a really great way to keep in touch.

I have been VERY remiss in the chat, and also somewhat in comments, but I enjoy all your cards so much.

Wishing you all a happy day, now that Spring (and vaccines) have arrived.

Anne

Ann the years do fly by, lots of birthdays for you next month, you too! Sorry to hear you’ve had so many ops, it’s my neck and shoulders that suffer nowadays with the start of arthritis in the top of my spine, sign of getting old

I'm ALIVE! I have not read through all of the chatter, so I have no idea what is happening outside of my little world. I actually had a run in with my MOJO. I think it fell off the shelf and into my lap. I made a couple of cards, and then it bounced right back up again! Seriously, I take care of my Mom, and she has been a hand full. I can't leave her alone for too long, so heading to the craft room is a no no. Her dementia is getting pretty bad so I just pray for patience. Gotta go, ladies. Check out my card if you have time and don't say anything horrible about me while I'm gone...mentally and physically...LOL!

Good morning! Sharon, I, too, am often walking around my house to hit my goal steps. An office job doesn't help me get the steps in throughout the day as I would like. Today I slept in a little bit. DH went down the hill to work and DD1 is at work. Hmmm, need to meal plan and get the grocery list done for DD1. So far today, I've only done my workout. I need to get busy, get the laundry going, get the meal planning done, grocery list done, clean the house, etc. Now I'm tired! Just kidding.

Jan, I hope you find your mojo soon!

Anne, I'm sure your grands love your cards. They are such fun and funny! What a great way to keep in touch, great memories. All those hand surgeries, ouch!

Sally! I'm glad you checked in. Sending hugs!

I'd better get off here and get to work!

Afternoon! I'm dragging after cleaning all day yesterday but it does feel good to get organized. Now to clean off the rest of my work table. Iris is trying to help by laying right in the middle of my room and snoring!

Sally, so good to hear from you. Taking care of a loved one is hard work! Prayers for you dear lady!

Shirl, how nice to exchange baked goods!! So nice you can do that with your bro!

Catherine, you have such great daughters to help with shopping and work around the house!

Have a great evening everyone!

Well, we only had rain in the morning, and then the sun came out so we got out for an afternoon walk. Now it is getting warmer again. I am glad there was a wind.

Catherine, I got a card made for Angie's F4A challenge today!

Sally so nice to hear from you. You have a full time job there with your Mom!

Jan, we saw the world's longest suspension bridge in Portugal on our news today! You lunch sounds so good. Except I cannot eat real crab.

Sharon and all of you getting in all those steps. Good on you. I have no idea how many steps I do, but do not want a counter thingie, lol.

Anne, that is great that they let you know when they get their cards. Great memories for you all.

We had a coupon to get burgers from Wendy's for lunch today. A real treat. I am tired of cooking.

Sally it’s lovely to see you, you have a lot on your plate looking after your Mum so I’m not surprised you don’t have much time for crafting.

shirl the crab is reconstituted, I think, not fresh, , still tasty though as it’s done in a kind of breadcrumb and fried.
we also saw that bridge in Portugal in the news, steve was laughing, he said he doesn’t think it’s something I would cross, too right, my knees would be knocking.

I told DS2 that when we rode our bikes around the block I noticed a lot of Black Velvet bottles. He showed me this sign today. Apparently others have noticed the bottles too!

Funny, I just had to login. I always stay logged in. I don't sign out. Anyhoo, I tried clicking on your image Kathy, but it said image would not load.

Jan, I can eat imitation crab, no problem as it is actually pollock.

Finished a card for the color challenge and going to upload it in a moment.

I could see it Kathy, I was thinking velvet covered bottles until I saw the bottles, what is black velvet, is it wine?

our GS had his beach party yesterday, apparently it was wonderful, all the boys stripped down to their undies splashing about in the water, it’s a pebble beach with bits of Sandy mud, they were covered in it, obviously not worried it wasn’t very warm in the sea. DIL kept emailing me during the morning, stressing about how many sandwiches she had to make, would she have enough etc, we should have been over there with them so it was quite sad for us but I’m pleased they all had a great time.

Black Velvet is whiskey. I'm going to start praying for that person. I'm thinking it's a young person that lives at home and can't take them home to drink. But I could be wrong. No matter who it is, it's a serious problem because I saw bottles on our bike ride, and that's a mile and a half stretch. DS2 hasn't had a drink in 2 months. I'm sure because he doesn't carry cash and I'm doing his receipts. He set it up that way to keep himself accountable. He wasn't drinking whiskey when he drank, so they aren't his bottles, plus they have been showing up along the road before he moved back in.
