Linda, it’s not the Sonja you know. It’s a new lady called Sonia. I think she just posted a comment saying thank you. I’m not even sure she is still with us lol.

This is my feel good thread. Unfortunately I don’t need any more threads to subscribe to but I do wish you well with it. We do need to hear good news.

Sharon, that’s great news regarding your family. It was the stampinup flowers in newspaper. I put them in my cart with other stuff. Sat on them for 2 days and have deleted them lol. I don’t need them and won’t order if they don’t offer PayPal. I’m not providing my credit card to anyone these days. I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping and then deleting the cart lol. It’s so much better for my bank account if I sit on the cart for a day or two.

Kandie I received a beautiful card and extras from you today. Everything is just gorgeous. Thank you for thinking of me. Feeling spoilt.

Ann did you finish Jack’s journal? I’m re-evaluating my craft at present and making a list of projects I would like to do. A journal is on the list. I’ve only promised a friend I would make her one a year ago. Shocking.

Gracie what do you do at your volunteer day? Have fun.

Vickie, I’ve been on blood thinners and other meds for months to prevent me having a stroke. Now the specialist wants me to go on a beta blocker but my Dr is pushing back on that one and I’m glad. Good to hear that you are improving.

Time to seize the day. Waving.

I believe Sonia has disappeared! I've gone back 7 pages and can't find any post! I remember when she posted thinking how did everybody know what her name was because that wasn't the username and I didn't see a name in her signature.

Hmmm, interesting. I didn't think you could completely delete a post on SCS but I can't find the post where Sonia commented. Her username was something like Soniabell with a number, I think, but I searched the membership list and didn't find anything to match that.

Sharon, so glad to hear that your DD and her family are mending, continued prayers.

I'm with you, Jayne, this is my feel good thread. I am so thankful that, for the most part, we aren't talking about news and current events here other than current events in our own lives.

I know. Her post disappeared. She only had about 4 posts showing by her blank avatar. I didn't think you could delete a post either. Unless she deleted her registration, which maybe would delete all posts.

Default Hello

Dear friends- this week's Teapot Tuesday happens to be for Kristen- our neighbor's daughter who had to have her eye removed for Melanoma (cancer in her eye). She is just 27 and a beautiful young lady. If by chance you could spare a card of encouragement, it would be so nice if you could send her a card!!! (do I sound as though I am begging???)....

I was going to send Ann a message about the Sonja who stopped in- only 4 posts, and for some reason, I hit the avatar and looked up other posts- one was on a trimmer post and the reply was on a trimmer for your shrubbery??? Did not sound like a card maker..... Guess we should be careful what we post on here!

She’s totally disappeared. Maybe SCS deleted her. I think they check to see that people are legit. I’ve seen some strange posts on some threads and people are usually pushing their company or products. I also think there might be the occasional stalker lol. I’m sure we have a lot of lurkers behind the scenes reading our chat lol. I guess if we can bring a smile to someone’s day that’s all that matters and why I only write what I don’t mind people reading.

Shelly, yep I saw those posts too..strange. I’m sure there’s a lot of non card makers on here.

I will see if I have a card in my stash or will make one for Kristen. How is she going?

Thats why I didn't have my address on the alpha list for a while. People drop in and chat a bit then disappear. I'm so wary of adding newbies. I always checked their accounts to see how long they've been a member.

You can also just go to the teapotter thread and the address is on there for Kristen.

Actually I think on S2S, or another chat thread we sent PM to each other with our addresses, that way you didn’t have to give your address to everyone if you were worried, Kathy you might be able to confirm that as that’s how I had your address and Sharon’s.
maybe that’s the way to go in the future, rather than send out an email, although saying that the list as it is at the moment I know most of the ladies.

Good morning, ladies. Have you ever done this: I made notes of yesterday’s posts, wrote a long post on here, then forgot to post it! DH took me to the vaccine location - what great workers and fabulous organization! - and then we ran some errands. Two hours later I sit down and pick up my iPad, and there is my unsent post! What a dummy! And I’d already thrown away my notes, lol.

So I’m having no reaction other than a usual sore arm from the injection. Yay!

oops, DH just called to go pick him up from the car service center. Be back soon.

Morning!

Very interesting that we have had a stalker! LOL. Must have been removed by SCS.
You never know who is watching and reading what has been posted.

Will check out the teapotter challenge, Shelly and make a card for your neighbor.

Later everyone!

The new auto save feature allows you to go back to a post and use the auto saved post. I've that recently. I typed up a post and got called away. When I came back and clicked on reply it gave me the option to use my last autosaved post.

Good morning! We had warm sunshine yesterday, today we have drizzles. Not full on rain, but still, moisture leaking from the sky. Hopefully our neighbor's contractor got the neighbor's roof sealed up well enough as the rain began last night. The neighbor has been having a new roof installed - and it seems like it has taken them quite a while to get it done. Today, I see that they are finishing up rapidly! Good thing since we are expecting rain for the next several days.

Melody, she or SCS must have deleted her account. Perhaps she was confused about what SCS is.

Shelly, I will try to get a card made for Kristen. I definitely have cards I can send that are already made - though I have nothing yoga or zen like!

Hmmm, Jayne, I always stay logged into SCS. You have inspired me to sign out and see what I can access without an account. I know you can't access everything...must do some investigating.

Jan, there isn't anything wrong with being a crazy bunch, is there? (Asking for a friend! )

Kandie, I'm glad you haven't had any problems with the vaccine. My friends who have gotten it (the Pfizer one) didn't have trouble with the first dose but the second dose they reacted to. I don't think all of them did, though I'm not sure.

I suppose I should finish up my coffee and head to work. Chat with you later!

Good morning!

Hmmm, why would you stalk a craft site...oh probably, because they figure we're all rich with all the crafts supplies we purchase! LOL

Jayne, we have a Monday craft group that makes all sorts of different things to sell to raise money for the hospital staff, EMTs, people going to school for medical degrees, etc. We have 4 sales a year. Sewing, quilting, painting, crochet, knit, wood work...etc. Whatever you like to do.

Well, I'd better get going, I promised to make masks for the ladies in this group!

Hugs!

Catherine there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a crazy bunch but if she read anything about the island she would definitely think we are to be avoided, ha,ha

so much excitement, we have had some lockdown easing, from tomorrow we can go to the next town, ha,ha, we can’t go to IKEA an hour away but we can now go to the nursery in Totana, steve needs tomatoe plants and bark for the garden, not sure I can cope with too much excitement.

my computer is still being updated, she phoned to say it had been going for 24 hours, yikes, it’s been three years apparently but it may not be ready tomorrow either, I feel lost without it, sounds crazy as I have an iPhone, iPad and MacBook Air but I can’t print anything!

Jan, I know exactly what you mean. We were without our computer for a short amount of days, and it was such a weird feeling. One does feel lost.

Glad you can get to a nursery now!

Thank you Annette for sending your cold weather! 16 degrees for a high feels like -2. Brr.
Sunday will be 7 for a high and minus something for a low. In Anchorage Alaska it is 28!

and we are getting more snow.

Ann I’ve been doing lots of squares lately but I can’t post in the alpha thread lol.

Kandie glad the vaccine hasn’t affected you. My family were all ok too.

Jan, yep people will think we are crazy and Catherine will with you talking about an island lol...she doesn’t go on S2S lol. We are absolutely bonkers on there lol but I like escaping to our island which reminds me I need a mani and pedi today..I wonder if I can get it done on our island. See I’m totally bonkers.

I dropped all of our dinner in a glass casserole dish onto the top of the oven door last night. The lid catapulted and all the contents went everywhere, including half of it into the oven. I was making a risotto from a recipe using the oven. Oh my it took us a long time to clean that mess up but the good news is we knocked off a task off our list. Cleaning the oven lol. I’m still finding rice and glass this morning. So on that note I’ll get the vacuum out,

Gracie, hope you made lots of money yesterday for the hospital staff. What a great thing to do. Regarding stalkers I can think of one person who would. *wink*. I know on another thread we had a guy once come on. He was pushing his business and SCS deleted him. Not sure what he was selling.

Catherine, you can see the gallery without logging on and who has commented on cards, tutorials and favourites. You used to be able to see forums but they now have stopped that which is good. I still believe that SCS should only have a home page and not show the gallery but just a few samples. It doesn’t give a person an incentive to come on if it’s all there for them, including tutorials. This site gives so much free stuff and does have to compete with YouTube and other craft sites but I think this is one of the best I’ve ever come across and they should receive some reward back. There should be tighter levels. One for stalkers, one for registered people and one for fan club members....totally different to what is available now. Why would anyone pay for something when 99% of its free.. Even access to certain forums should only be for fan club members. Just my thoughts and coming from a marketing perspective.

Off my soap box now and as DH has the vacuum outside I guess I can keep on this site lol. I’m off to check the gallery out,

Smile Hello

Hello ladies,
On an island with an umbrella in my beverage and the sun beating down on my face...listening to the crashing of waves on the shore....nothing crazy about that lovely thought : )

I was working on my crochet project late last night after hubby went to bed. The sleep out mat for the homeless..... I am getting close to the end for the main panel- had it on the kitchen counter. I was listening to Josh Groban music via head phones..apparently, I was singing as well, as hubby reports to me : ) LOL It woke him up. I did not think I was singing...but apparently I was.

Oh Jayne- so sorry about the spill/break! I have never made Rissoto in the oven : )

Kathy- that is so crazy that it is warmer there than in Dallas! My youngest brother lives close to Dallas, and he is always rubbing it in when our temps are so cold : ) Its so much work for them to drag out the cold weather clothes LOL !!! He is very funny and a good sport when we razz him about it (back).

Jan- great that your lockdown is easing up!

Gracie- so happy for your group that the sale went well!

Shelly

Jayne that must have made such a mess and fiddly cleaning it too, so what did you have for dinner?
We had faggots last night, bought ones, did you ever have the Brains faggots Jayne, the gravy is so tasty although steve adds to it to make more , we both love gravy, we are northerners after all, ha,ha,

It’s been quite cool the last couple of days, even had the fire going after a week of not needing it, trouble is we both didn’t sleep well as we were too hot!

We’ve been watching a new serial called the drowning, I was worried it might be scary, not into thrillers but it’s about a couple whose child drowns but she thinks she sees him seven years later, it’s quite gripping so worth watching.

Jan that's a lot of excitement for you LOL. We still have to wear masks..until 14th Feb. DH was muttering under his breath about having to wear one at golf today and to take it off when he plays a shot. Then they all go in the clubhouse for presentations and take them off to drink/eat...same in cafes. Crazy but I guess there is the 4sqm rule so that helps.

Good to hear that your mat is nearly finished Shelly. How funny you woke your DH up and not on zoom with me and others LOL.

I should be crafting but I have been doing chores and felt quite chuffed with myself today at what I've done, including back in discussions with Emirates and Booking.com LOL. I'm now catching up on here (again) as I didn't stay on long this morning and then will go and finish my panels. Nothing is working but I intend to find some mojo.

Happy Wednesday everyone

Jan we had the chicken that I had already browned and was about to add to the risotto with peas and lemon juice LOL. It was very bland and as it was late by this time we had ice cream too LOL. We managed. I have had faggots. I love tripe, chuckling and bag...and cockles and mussels and whelks. Oh my now I've craving. Did you hear the new rules for the UK...they took advice from their Aussie counterparts. I've only been telling them for a year LOL. About time too. Now they might get somewhere.

Oh yep and some random Pop star from the UK who I have never heard of called Rita Ora or something has been allowed into our country yet citizens can't get home. What the!

I think I've heard of that series Jan...must check it out. We are on the last episode of Bordertown. Not as good as the other series. We've also been recommended by my family in the UK to watch The Serpent, The Investigation, Virgin River and the Deutschland series...we haven't checked them out yet.

Rightio I am definitely carrying on. Have fun

There’s an announcement tonight about opening cafes but just to eat on the terraces, it’s the same here if you aren’t eating or drinking you have to keep your mask on, it makes me feel like I have a frog in my throat as we say after I’ve had my mask on! The girl where we get our takeaway coffee is so pleased and thanks us for going , we only go if we are shopping but we want her to keep her job, she’s lovely, really Spanish looking , olive skinned with really dark straight hair that even with it tied up it reaches her bottom.
the police put tape over the walls outside the cafe to stop people sitting on the wall with their coffee!
we can sit on a bench though near the marina so I’m surprised they haven’t taped them up, all the kids play parks are taped up, I’m surprised they aren’t in the UK.

Jayne that Rita Ora had a birthday party in lockdown and we saw she’s been allowed into Oz, quite disgusting really.

not heard of any of those shows but we don’t have Netflix just freeview so that’s perhaps why.

steve loves all offals except hearts, his favourite is pigs trotters, here they do them in a chilli sauce, here they sell chickens feet, I dread to think what they use them for!

LOL..chicken's feet. I haven't had those I don't think although I did try and few things in Asia when we travelled.

Oh so she's the celebrity who had the birthday party. It says in our news that she flaunts the rules. Apparently she's here for filming for a new show of The Voice. Why they think that's important I do not know and she should never have been let in. Shame on whoever made the decision. Hopefully she does her filming and gets out of here but I'm sure once she sees how normal a life we are all living she may not leave. We've got people coming back who lived here when they were kids and never been back and wanting to come in. I guess we have the room *wink* lol.

Has anyone heard from Pat? I haven’t seen her posting for a while and I’ve just had her birthday card returned back to me by someone with the same surname and in Texas....mmm. I’ll pm her.

Morning from the frozen tundra of WI! It actually doesn’t bother me much, I love having the wood furnace going. I still take the dog out with out a coat...it’s refreshing lol!

I’m finally feeling lighter today. Been in a hormonally charged yucky frame of mind. Whew.

I got a card done for the Art Nudge this morning. Next up, two Alpha cards to catch up! And some gallery commenting.

I bought a new red Beta fish and he died the next day. So i need to get him returned. Our other Beta has been thriving for a few years now. Poor Valentino, didn’t last long!! He was my Valentine and he didn’t even live to Valentine’s Day!!

Take good care my alpha friends. Happy stamping!
