Theresa...are you still high and dry? Glad your friend is ok.
Traci...how are you doing? Parents?
Paige...forgot to specify that you need to loop back to me for the hop. That will complete the circle.
Can't wait! It's getting closer and closer. I have my projects finished but nothing posted yet. Trying to catch up to other projects. Had stampin' buddies here all day today. What fun. Will be posting some of our creations soon.
Happy New Year everyone...I have a busy few days ahead, so wanted to make sure I wished everyone a wonderful start to the beginning of 2011!
I have my blog post started, at least as far as the info you gave us to post! I did link back to you in my post and have Robyn's link in there as well as she comes ahead of me.
I have two items finished and am planning the third one in my head - hope it translates well to paper! Then to take photos, edit, and write them up! Sheesh, I have a lot to do yet! But I'll be ready! This is a fun kind of pressure!

Hi girls! Thanks for the support here! I am in our mountain condo a few hours from home. We came up the day after Christmas with our daughter. She is leaving to study abroad in Madrid, Spain in less than a week so need to spend time with her before she goes.
My parents are going home from the care center this week. Although I know they are ready, they still will need a lot of at home care in order for this to work. Unfortunately, Dad's second knee "fix" did not work out so well, so it remains to be seen just how well he does. But it is good news overall. I will be going just as soon as I get daughter on a plane to Spain...and so that is one of the reasons I had to opt out. Too many family events/travels converging the same week as the hop. No way to predict when my parents would go home.
I am looking forward to visiting the blog hop, oogling all your wonderful creations,, and being so proud to be a part of such a wonderful group of women!!
Theresa, I am a little worried about you...it sounds like the kind of drama movies are made of...please do be careful and stay safe!! Let us know how you are as soon as you are able!
MY PAPER HAVEN
If anyone has time from their projects and blogging read about Katie's struggle with stage 4 cancer. She has young ones and is active on splitcoast. I have asked for her address and perhaps we could make an extra card and send it to her.
Donna, did someone forget to tell you that we get to vote on your leaving? Just kidding of course but we would vote NO!! I'll be following you no matter what. Your cards are truly inspiring!

Lori,
Thank you so much for this information. I knew Katie from a couple of years ago when we both designed for Clear Dollar Stamps. I'm so saddened to hear about this news. I will definitely keep her in my prayers, and if you get an address, please PM me with it. I'd love to send her a card. I've commented on her blog, but would still love to send her a card too. Thanks again!
Donna...I agree with Lori! My vote would be a resounding NO! We love having you here and are so inspired by your creativity. Hope you decide to stay!!!
Hi Gals!
I'm still here, just now winding down from a long month. I FINALLY got my craft room cleaned up and I have ideas spinning in my head and have the weekend to do nothing! So I'm going to get it all set and ready to go by Monday.
Because I'm a computer illerate though, I might be yelling for help! But we'll see.....:0)
I hope you all have a very Happy New Year and be SAFE!

How delightful to hear from you. I knew you said it was a busy month, and I'm glad you are feeling like playing! Lucky us!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Give me a holler anytime you need help. PM me or email me at [email protected].
I finished my 3rd card today! In the next couple of days I'll get my posting ready. It has been really fun. It gave me a good excuse to play with my new goodies.
Hearing the flooding news in Australia is scary. Theresa, we're all hoping to hear you are A.O.K.

Woo-hoo! Good for you! That's exciting and I'm so glad you had fun with it. That's exactly what I wanted it to be for us. If this goes well, it would be fun to do it again maybe next fall. But we won't think about THAT now! Can't wait to see!
I saw the change in the blog hop list, my post is fixed. I have three new snow themed projects ready to go. Question: should those of us that have a gallery post our projects with links to the blog hop, then of course change the post afterwards to remove the blog hop link ?

HAPPY, CRAFTY NEW YEAR !!!
Fantastic! Glad you are ready to go. Me too!
Gallery idea...YES! That sounds like a wonderful idea, Heather. That would just bring even more traffic our way. So anyone who wants to post to their galleries, go right ahead! Thanks for the contribution, Heather. You rock!

Mine are finished and the posts should be live 12:01 on Jan. 7th. Fun!
Wonderful. Doesn't it feel good to have that much behind you? I'll stay up late enough that night to see that everything is hooked together properly so we can make adjustments early in the day if we need to. Should go perfectly though. Excitement is building....!
Hi girls. Looks like everyone is organized. I've still got my thinking cap on, but I should be good for the day. I'm thinking of going with making three related cards. I'm not sure about a 3D project. Once I've got my cards made I'll probably be annoying you with a few Q's about the post, LOL.
I've got today off, so I better get a wriggle on and start stamping something.
Hi ladies!
Happy New Year! I know I've been absent for quite some time, life has a tendency to get in my way a lot. I'm looking forward to a creative new year and also getting my house decluttered. In order to gain back some 'me' time, I shut down my challenge blog and have dropped some swap groups - it's helped immensely in feeling less pressured. Looking forward to seeing what you've all created for the blog hop!

Happy New Year girls!
I am so glad to see you here, Theresa, just been a bit worried.
It looks like I will be traveling and taking care of parents next week, so I am glad right now that I don't have to worry about the first blog hop and getting it all set up correctly.
I will be looking forward to visiting everyone and have something to do!! I hope I can get wi-fi at my folk's house, usually have to "find" a signal!
Kristie...Looks like you've made some wise decisions for your health and well-being. Sometimes even when we don't want to we just have to say "no!" And I really don't admitting that I can't do something...and usually end up sick because I committed to something I shouldn't have. So kudos to you, girlfriend. Life will probably be more enjoyable. We'll love having you peek in on the hop!
Theresa! You're back! Welcome home! Designing is more than half the task, so now the fun part happens. Ask any questions you need to and if I don't know the answer, we'll wing it!
I'm feelin' my feet start to thump...and gettin' ready to HOP! Can't wait!
Hi, Traci! You weren't here when I posted...both our posts were in cyberspace and you beat me by a bit! See..."all things work together for good!" I'm sorry you'll be gone, and may miss us, but this time you spend with them will be even more precious to you someday. You will not regret helping them out. I hope you'll be able to tune in on us and watch, AND let us know how you are doing. Our prayers will go with you, sweet friend.
May the love and favor of the Lord Jesus Christ rest upon you.
1 Corinthians 16:23 (TLB)
I'm sorry girls, I didn't mean to cause you concern. These past couple of days have been a bit of a blur. I've not been home a lot, as I've been spending more time up at the farm. There's no internet connection there. And when I was home I had visitors and was entertaining. Or I was working. All good stuff!
I went to to the pub Friday night to catch up with the locals and hear their stories. Some of the locals have taken to making their own roadways, since the roads have washed away and council won't be able to get around to repairing them for weeks. Our valley is major supplier of vegies for the fresh food market, and unfortunately about 80% of crops have been destroyed. Other areas have been worse affected, not only losing crops and livestock, but whole towns have been evacutated. People have already been layed off because there is no work/harvest.
There's a good chance that I'll be away next weekend. So I'll when my post is ready to publish I'll be back to set the post time for my blog. I've got a time for St Louis - is that in the correct time zone for this blog hop? If so I think I'll need to post at 4pm either Sat or Sun. I'll figure that out closer to the posting.
We're just happy you are ok, Theresa! I knew you were going to be out of pocket a few days...but I also knew there was a ton of flooding, so was eager to hear that all was ok. Glad you are working on fun things and not swimming for your life!!!!

Yes, Central Standard Time includes St. Louis. I THINK it would be Saturday for you to get it to come out right. But those time things always baffled me...kind of like the "If a man..." math quizzes. Sorry for the extra thinking this will take for you. You are a trooper, sweetie!
Happy New Year my Glitzy friends. I now have the stomach flu. Thus no stamping. I am thankful there is still time to get going on my blog hop projects. Hopefully, I'll be able to start tomorrow. I have to admit though I am nervous about it, being my computer skills are limited. Although, Diane you did post easy to follow directions. Pray I don't mess up.
Donna, Noooo. I don't want you to quit. Okay, but only if you must. I'll continue to visit your blog.
Tracie, I'm glad your parents get to go home now. Good to know they will have help at home. Will daughter be gone long? I have seen many travel logs of Spain and I wish I were going too. Take care of yourself.
Theresa, Yea! you are safe and dry. Sounds like you have been through quite the adventure. We got snow here today - in the high desert. We are at the 2500 ft. level so it does not happen often.
Back to the TV. I'll be back if I need computer/blogger help later this week.
Gloria...so sorry you've had the nasty flu going around...it's everywhere! Glad you are over the hump.
Blog Hoppers...if you do need help as we get closer to the day of the hop, be sure that you either email me directly ([email protected]) or you PM me here on SCS. I'm only alerted by email on the first post after my post here on this thread. So I might miss your question and you may need immediate help. So emailing me is the best, PMing will work too. I'll be happy to help anyone that needs it. It will be easy once you do it.
OK, I finished my projects. They are very simple and totally duplicatiable (is that a word??)) I hope no one is disappointed, I'm so not creative but I love to create!

I'm sure they will be perfect. With 24 total projects I know we will have a wonderful blend that will offer a ton of inspiration for all crafters. Glad you are ready to go!!!
Robyn, my style is always simple!! But I have tons of fun and always enjoy the hobby. Your cards will be just fine! I've been trying to post on splitcoast and stampin connection and including a blurb about our blog to create some interest. And that got me stamping even more! My husband picked my final three so we'll see how he did! LOL

Mine are the same. I had a couple of 'clever' ideas but it all went in the bin. After my third attempt, trying something different each time, I just had to simplify. I really like what I ended up making, but I'm a little nervous about posting now. I just got to not focus on it being a hop, and just treat it as if it was a regular post.
Diane, I couldn't come up with a 2+1, so I made a (very simple) gift set of cards. There is a method to my madness....I think! I've figured out that I'll need to post 4pm Fri to match your midnight of Thursday night/Friday morning. I hope I got it right. I have attempted a scheduled post before and failed miserably, so I'll see if I can do it right this time. Since I work with wordpress I'll need to find my own instructions. Plan B, should I screw it up, I should be home from work between 4 an 5pm on the day, so I'll look in as soon as I get home and make any adjustments if necessary. That'll be within an hour of your midnight. Plan A of course is to get it right the first time, LOL. Is that workable?

More than workable...perfect! A gift set of cards will be fabulous. This is all for fun and I didn't want anyone to stress over it. It is just like our regular posts. I got worrying about mine cause I wasn't sure I like my projects as well as I do my usual stuff. Then I just decided to stop worrying, just create it and move on. So this is all just for the fun of it.
AND...if something goes awry, it's not the end of the world for any of us. We'll get the bugs worked out if there are any and still have a wonderful hop. I know your things will be wonderful, Theresa, and actually I bet the ones that ended up in the bin were wonderful too!!!
Okay, I've got my post done and I've set it to publish at 7 Jan, 1600hr.
It's started raining heavily here again and I'm racing the clock to get packed to go to the farm. We'll be rained in (or out if we don't make it in time). Once I'm there there'll be no coming out for the whole week end I think. Most of the road is washed away already. This rain is even more intense then the last. So I wont be able to visit the hop until much later. So Diane, if my post doesn't publish as planned, I won't be able to get to the computer to set it right. I'm fairly confident I've done it right though. Cross fingers.
Good luck with it all girls. I can't wait to get back and see how it all turned out.

Great! I think we are all as prepared as we can be...and I know it will work just fine.
You just take care of yourself...so worried about the conditions there. It just looks horrible on the news and they were talking about it covering an area the size of Spain and some other country. I heard interviews of people trapped in the middle of it, some barely escaping with their lives. So I'll be praying for you....be careful. Do connect the minute you can when you're home safe.
Hello friends, I am so glad to know I'm not the only one who has changed 'the plan' for something else. I too thought my original idea/plan needed to be filed away for some other time. So I am going with something more simple as I really want to stay calm. That is my MO. I stress out! Just because. I will be using the sewing theme for one project and valentines for the other. Need to get back to my crafting. I can't wait to see your creations.
I don't think Theresa will be able to see our blog hop and/or projects since we are suppose to delete our posts after midnight on 1/9.
Hopefully her time difference will still allow her a last minute peek. But I still get confused on the time zone thing...so perhaps.
Remember everyone, we can repost our creations after midnight on the 9th as we would any other of our creations if you want to leave them up longer. You just have to remove all the links embedded in the post because some will be moving on to other things...
Finally, my two projects are posted and scheduled for 1/7/11 at 12:01 AM. I had help from a wonderful friend. It took 5 hours. She was so calm through it all. She understood all the obstacles Blogger kept presenting and continued to work out the kinks. I know I could not have done all that problem solving. In the end, (she had already gone home), I realized we forgot to add the picture of my personal blog candy. My plan is(and I hope it pans out) is to post it tomorrow, apologize to our viewers and extend the drawing time by an extra day. Sorry, I messed up. That was my fear.

Gloria...I'm sorry that you had difficulties. Learning curves are usually not pleasant, are they? I'm so grateful to your friend who helped. Thank her for me, will you.
Is there anyway I can help you upload your blog candy pictures? What kind of trouble was blogger throwing you?
The only trouble with posting your blog candy tomorrow, is that it will bump the blog hop post down, some may miss it and not go to that post thus linking to the next blog on the hop. That will break the chain. That was why I mentioned in the directions that participants had to refrain from making any other posts during the blog hop.
So let me help you if I can with getting your candy posted.
