I buy them at Target, Dollar Store, Party City, WalMart......you can find them at Walgreens as well. Sometimes they are in the area with the wrapping paper and gift bags.

I purchase the flat bags from Stampin' Up! (as I'm a demo) but have used http://www.clearbags.com/ in the past

Recently someone posted about clear bags for packaging post-it holders, etc.

Ordering online for cards or archival stuff (acid free/wno't yellow over time) is good for some items, but the goody bags sold at Walmart for $1.50 for 20 bags with shiny twist ties are hard to beat!

In the wedding favor supplies (also @ Walmart) there is a smaller size- 100 bags for $3.50. I buy a lot and keep them on hand.

This has been good for me.

Thanks everyone! I will check into all of them and see what I can find. I've been crafting everyday so far this year! I plan on being well prepared for this years craft shows.

I got most of my bags for packaging at www.clearbags.com and some at www.serendipity.com before I knew about clear bags. The bags for little things like the binder clips and the crayons in the kid card kits, were just the candy bags in the Wilton section at Michaels and Jo-Anns. Packaging made a big difference for me at the craft shows.

Also, I wanted to let you all know that I posted some new projects I've made in my gallery that I may try doing for the next craft show season. There is a tote with a matching OSW (one sheet wonder) set of 9 cards made from 8X8 sheet. There is also a display calendar that could be used over and over each year. I did it with an overall theme from the La Creme stack paper instead of the usual month to month theme of Jan = snowflakes, Feb = hearts, etc. A friend of mine did this and I really like the results. These would be a little more expensive and I'm thinking maybe more of a "made to order" type thing.

I still have lots of stuff to post from my shows that I'll try to get to. Hope everyone finds these useful as I have found from all of you! Thanks for sharing!

Kathy

Wow, I have now read (not all) but a lot of this thread, will read more as time permits. I love all the ideas and advice, thanks to everyone for sharing. My homemakers club is hoping to have a craft fair late this coming fall, so all the ideas and help is great. Our booth will be a mixed bag, because we have people who knit, crochet, sew, quilt, etc etc etc, my guess is having enough space will be our biggest problem. But again thanks to all and keep the ideas coming.

Default Looking for directions for Senior pics mini album

I recently set up my cards at a craft show and was asked if I had any of the mini albums made up to hold high school senior photos that everyone shares. It is a unique idea and just wondering if anyone had seen or made these up that could point me in the right direction.

Stampin Up used to sell these, but I don't think they do any more. I bought one and decorated it in my daughter's friends favorites, and we gave it to her for a graduation gift.

Default senior mini albums

Thanks for your ideas! I think the ones that this person was talking about are about the size of a wallet photo and in one of those expandable plastic photo holders that would have some kind of a paper/board cover. Any ideas on where to find the expandable photo holders?

I saw a cute picture stand done in chipboard covered in paterened paper,3 flod with a heart on top,...will take this for a spin later this winter after I find the right size chipboard, this was all valentine patern,...think I would do summer and winter, the pic's were glued on and I would use photo corners so the shots are removeable. Fun idea tho.

I'm baaaaaack! Wow, all those craft fairs followed by Christmas nearly did me in, but I have survived to try to be creative again.

In 2010 I've decided I'll only work for love, not money!

The craft shows were fun and I'm glad I did them, but I'm going back to making things that I want to make, (without regard to whether they will sell to the general public, lol) and giving them to family and friends.

Wanted to share the first thing I've made since Christmas. I had quite a few York Peppermint Patties left, so here is what I've come up with for Valentines for everyone on my list:

Oh I love those Valentine's patties! Adorable!
I do agree with you too about creating for love and not money. Oh yes, the money is nice ~ but it's just so stressfull trying to create things to sell. Then to worry if you have enough or too much. If your not having fun doing it it's not worth it in my opinion.

Default Fabulous

I am going to making Explosion Boxes for sale. There may be miscellaneous other items. Unfortunately I will be traveling around Australia for 6 months and thus wont be on line much. I will keep you posted as I go. I will have a blog mainly for the trip and not much stamping though I will post the odd explosion box or special card on it depending on my whim and the interest shown. In case anyone is interested in following my trip the URL is http://robbiebago.blogspot.com/ though I have 2 entries. I don't start my trip until mid March.
Thank you so much for all your encouragement and inspirations along the way. I will take a gander now and then for sure.

Thank you so much! The topper is made with the Labels 1 die set, Nestabilities. I have the Cuttlebug which works so great with these versatile dies. I used the largest one for the topper, and folded it in half.

The peppermint patties are covered with one of the scalloped circle dies from Nestabilities.

I don't know how I made cards or anything else before I got the Nestabilities. I would highly recommend them if you don't have them.

PS the bags are small zip bags from the jewelry dept. at Hobby Lobby. I cut off the zip and folded them over.

Thanks so much for the tips. I have the QuicKutz Revolution which they will work with, so I will be sure to pick up a set of those.

Was that just a regular sale or were they on clearance? I'll have to head over to Office Depot

I was at Staples today and they had their yellow 3x3 post it notes for $1.00! There are (12) pads in a package! Will really come in handy this fall! Can you say MORE PROFIT FOR ME!!!

Last week Staples had their RSVP pens for $1.00 for package of 5. Keep an eye on both stores...looks like they are trying to compete with each other - which is always good for us!!!

I was at Staples this morning and bought a bonus pack of Pentel RSVP pens for $7.29. That was 2 packs of 12 shrink wrapped together, so it worked out to be .30 a pen which is pretty good, not 5 for $1.00 good like an above post, but I'm happy :-D

Sorry, I don't have a pix, but we always make Cupid Poop with little gummy cinnamon hearts for gag gifts. I also put a little "broken arrow" on the bag topper

I will check around and see if I can find a copy!

That sounds really cute! How fun! As for me, I don't have any gag gift ideas... I was just thinking cute Valentines beaded pens and post-it note holders would be really cute... maybe the bra & undies cards, lol!

I figure no one would calll me to ask about SU! if they've never even heard of the company!

Still to early to tell if the parites will cover the cost of my table fees and Show on the Go Kit, but definitely very thrilled to make new contacts (we're military and fairly new to the area and after Hurricane Ivan blew through here a while back, lost a few stampers who are temporarily misplaced from their homes!)

I miss that place!

I don't do craft fairs but i made some hankie boxes or you can put the little purse size tissues in them for my mother in law and she asked me to make some for her friends they loved them so l did extras for when some one has a cold or flu with (get well or hope you feel better) stamped on them the ideas to decorate them are enormous. I can't do links but l saw a video of it on utube it's called Hankie Box.

Default 1st craft fair - looking for help

Hello Ladies - what a thread. In reading a few pages it seems that post-it holders are a big hit. I'm sure their are many different ways of doing them. Would anyone mind sharing their "how-to" for the popular seller. I'm getting ready for my 1st fair in late April. Also, I loved the bookmarks & paper-clip book marks. Where do you buy those super jumbo clips?

You can pm me if you prefer.

TFS,
Robin
