Ii know a few people who have gotten the magnet sheets from OTC (trust me, buy them there and save a fortune) and have lined the inside of their cabinet with the sheets, then they can just peel off the piece they need, use and return.
Is this still going on? I have lived here for 20 something years and never heard of it. I would love to see this. It sounds like everyone has been busy with MVA or Plumbers or whatever. Hope things settle down. Now to toot my own horn. A member of Our Dailey Bread team saw my card on Splitcoast (the one I did as the challenge card) and is featuring it as the card of the week on their blog. It will be featured next week. Toot toot. I am excited and nervous at the same time.
Congratulations Gloria! I am not surprised, your card was awesome! Toot your horn all you want, you deserve it!
Kathi, is Sammy close to the higher end of the weight range on the Frontline you are giving him? Haiku always teeters that one or two pounds, so we often have to bump him up to the next wieght range, depending on how bad the critters are at any given time. That might would help as extra precaution, with his possible allergy. I couldn't believe Haiku had a tick attached Christmas weekend - would have thought it was definitely too cold with all that snow. Adorable pic of Sammy :-D
Hey Cherie! No, as a matter of fact Sammy is on the lower end of the weight range, I believe it goes from 51-100 lbs. and he now weighs 57. He's gained 12 lbs. already! Wow, a tick at this time of year as cold as it's been! That's unbelievable, they must be hardy buggers! Glad you like his pic! He wouldn't look straight at the camera, kept moving his head so our friend Tom held his head still so we could get a straight on shot of him! He can be a stubborn boy!
Jut got my Nesties order! My inlaws gave me some money for Christmas and I found some Nesties on Overstock.com that I have been wanting- I ordered the poinsettias, one of the snowflakes and the scallop circles to go with the plain circles that DS gave me for Christmas.
Question? How do you store your Nesties? Right now, I still have them in the original plastic containers that they come in, but is there a better storage method?? I can use all the organizational ideas I can get! My room's a MESS!
Mine are still in their original containers too! I haven't figured out anything better to store them in either!
I JUST today,. finished making my Nesties storage holders: I took empty CD cases and lined them with magnet sheets..pickedd mine up at Bed bath and Beyond (vent covers)
each CD case holds 2 sets. although the one set of large scalloped Squares I should have split up and just used a case for just it.
Or Avery makes Magnet sheets as well that can run through your printer so you can create an index on one side if you wished.
WOW the ones from OTC look like a great deal! Anyone want to go in with me to get a better price and save on shipping? I am willing to place the order. I will go now and search for a free shipping code...

Jeenean I will take a set as well. Since you are ordering. I am sure I can use them. I just know that I paid an arm and a leg on the ones at Office Depot, something like $12 for 4 sheets, and they were not even self adhesive.
Reganne curled up next to me in the chair and as sweetly as possible asked me with big brown eyes looking up, "When will Miss Amanda come visit again?" I think she liked having the snacks available when you all were here. hehe
If you are coming on post sometime this week let me know so I can meet up with you or so you can drop by so I can give you your birthday gift along with the party favors since I will not be able to make your lunch on the 3rd or the 9th.
Sorry I missed you, your oldest son answered, I hope he gave you my message. Hopefully I'll be that direction again next week. If you are this direction give a call I can always meet you some place!
Thanks Amanda for having me over today! It was a blast, thanks for the re-fresher on my bow maker and the ribbon, birthday gifts and fun company! The boys are always so much fun!
Stacy; It was so much fun visiting with you as well, thanks again for my wonderful gifts!
Jane; Amanda was kind enough to forward your wonderful gifts to me, I loved everything Thanks so much!
Everyone; Off to get ready for company. DH is smoking ribs (oh the neighborhood smells so yummy) , but his kids are coming over for dinner and I"m so excited about that!
Hugs,
Wasn't the Ice show amazing? We went on Cristmas Eve day and had a wonderful time. Did you find the PEEPS? My granddaughters had so much fun looking for them. Lucky you got to stay overnight!
We found some of them in our travels, but didn't really go hunting for them. We did walk down to the Peeps store to check that out. Glad you had a great time there as well. Everything was so pretty decorated for Christmas.

Thanks Cindy, he is doing a lot better! The vet thinks he has an allergy to fleas, we found a flea on him while at the vet and he said one flea on a dog with an allergy to them can cause major havoc! He's been on Frontline for fleas and was just due for his monthly application. The vet put him on Prednisone, another round of antibiotics and more cream for the spot on his ear that he keeps messing with. I will have to be extra vigilant from here on out to make sure he doesn't go one day over on his flea meds. He could still have a food allergy as well, we will have to see what happens over time. But even with all his issues we wouldn't give him up for anything! Look at that sweet face:
Finally uploading some Cristmas pictures. My DH made the cutest doll cradles for our granddaughters. The bumpers from their cribs that we had here were like brand new so I recycled them into bumpers for the cradles. Aren't they cute?
He did a fantastic job. And what a great way to use their crib bumpers.
Maybe I'll try to throw something together for a weekend in February? The winter rates at the one hotel are still good then on weekends. Head up a Friday night and come home on Sunday. Let me check out the calendar and I'll post some dates.
Jeaneen, please include me with one set?
Paula, the cribs are fabulous! What a wonderful heirloom to hand down to their children one day.
Gloria! I am impressed. I told you that card was fantastic.
To everyone, hope you are getting cards together for the swap. Looking forward to it.

Mornin all. I was surprised when Iopened the blinds about 7:30 and saw it was white! I was up at 2:15 walking out a leg cramp and there was nothing out there but Wiley E. Coyote sneaking around my patio. ick. Altho I have to admit, I was kind of mesmerized watching wildlife. Went for my camera but of course he was gone. At least this time he didnt have a poor bunny hanging out of his mouth.
I still have not focused enough to think of a card for the SBS. Hellllllllllllllp. Of course it will be driven by my paper supply.
Have a great day everyone and keep warm!
Morning all! The girls want to go out and shovel, so I guess we are about to get all bundled up. I had planned to go to Ikea with The Hubs today, but now he is going alone. I am afraid.....very afraid! I wonder what all he will come home with besides just the drawers for the girls toys.
Snow here in Glen Burnie and it's COLD!!! I can't get warm! Woke up with a sinus headache, face all swollen, I hope I'm not getting a sinus infection. Just what I need, we have 15 people coming over tomorrow for a New Year's Day get together and I've got lots to do to get ready! I can't be sick!

Wow Rose, a coyote!!! We've spotted some fox around here and a deer once but no coyotes! No card here either for the SBS, I won't have time to even begin on it until Saturday!

No coyotes here, either (not sure I've ever actually SEEN one!) but we have lots of foxes...
I have an IDEA for a card- does that count!?
I swear sometimes I think the Immunization clinic at Meade is the most UNPROFESSIONAL bunch of people in the world.
Last week(Christmas Eve), the girl who did me was all *****ing.." they should never have signed you in, we aren't doing walk ins today, we stopped taking people half an hour ago, we aren't taking Travel clinic people( my status). all to my face. she spent so much time *****ing that I didn't get out of there in time to do my other lab work.
so Tuesday I went back for my PPD test and again it was like.. what an inconvenience it was to stick a needle into my arm
Today it had to be read(plus the second JEV shot) and it was like.. oh gawd I have to do MORE than just read the PPD?!
they might be friendly and such but when it comes to customer service and professionalism, they sorely lack.. BIG time.
Luckily I don't have to go back again until 25 January.. and that will be the last time until I leave for Oki( if I leave that is)
Thanks for all the compliments on the doll cradles. My DH is very good at woodworking and has made numerous things for me and family members through the years.
Gloria, what a beautiful card. Congratulations.
Kathi, hope you're feeling better.
Still don't have my SBS card ready! I am doing it today! At least that's the plan.
Hard to believe that 2009 is almost over. This year has had it's ups & downs. Getting to know all of you & becoming a part of this group has definitely been an up! Happy New Year to all! Enjoy & stay safe.

My dad was into woodworking...he's made me many things- shelves, clocks, tables, etc. Those are the things that we will treasure forever! Unfortunately, now, with his COPD, he isn't able to do his woodworking anymore due to the sawdust...he sure misses it!
Paula, I agree- getting to know this group of wonderful ladies has been a blessing!
My dad loved working with wood - using both power and hand tools. He made many pieces of furniture (some from trees on our property), lots of accessories and he was almost always willing to custom make things for friends and family, often designing the item. He also loved carving and his 'specialty' was loons. (Some of you may remember the loon card I made for a swap last year - I bought that stamp in his memory!) He was a perfectionist and when he felt he no longer could be absolutely perfect, he quit, much to everyone's disappointment. I treasure everything he made, especially those items he signed and dated. We also had a 'branding iron' made for him with his logo and he branded larger pieces with it. Although he passed away five years ago, mom continues to surprise me with gifts of his work.
DD is cleaning out her old closet here (yippee!) and just brought me a pile of stuff from her college graduation in 2007. She wants me to make a scrapbook page/collage with it all. Oh, and add some pictures too, mom! Just what I need - another project! Maybe I can get it done for her birthday in June...
Just tried the Wii Fit. What fun! No surprise that it says I don't have good balance (hmmm). I have lots to explore and learn and I am looking forward to it. When all the kids return to school/their 'other homes' I will get my chance again...

The Wii Fit is so much fun! I STILL can't do that stupid hula hoop, though!! I love the step aerobics part! I need to get back on mine more regularly.
