I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Our was very nice. Santa was very good to all of us. DS even game me a set of round Nesties AND a cute wooden table-top cabinet to store my Copics! He really DOES listen! ;)
It's hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone...all the anticipation and then it's gone so quickly!

My ds gave me a gift certificate for the entire amount of what it costs me for my color and cut at my stylist's! I thought that was super sweet of him and I sure can use it!
I've got to run out to the store for a couple of things, we have company coming at 2:00 and I want to make this really great dip but Food Lion didn't have one package of cream cheese in the store on Wednesday! So I'm off to find some and get the doggies some food, they're almost out!
Good morning everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas day.
It's been a busy 2 days! We went to Christmas on the Potomac on Christmas eve day. It's incredible - 200 million pounds of ice sculpted into various Christmas scenes, 4 ice slides and a life-size ice sculpture nativity that was amazing. It's at the Gaylord Hotel & Conference Center outside of DC until Jan. 10. If you're looking for something unique to do, it's well worth it.
Christmas Day was an exciting one with my granddaughters. It's so much fun to have little ones around on Christmas. Santa was very good to all of us.
Now for some relaxing time. Hope to do some stamping as soon as I clean up my craft room! Does anybody else's look like a bomb went off in it!?! Plan to do some reading too. I've had the new J. D. Robb book on my Kindle for over a month & haven't had time to read it!

Here's a picture of the little cabinet that DS gave me for Christmas...the little containers didn't come with it. It'll be perfect for having my Copics close at hand!
Hello all...kind of a wet one out there. It's amazing to go to sleep with snow covered ground and wake up to green lawn. Christmas was lovely but nice to have behind me. Now I can start me anxiety attack over what to do for the swap! Maybe I will do an altered item.............just kidding! What's a card swap without cards. I hope you are all having a great day and you can all worry about my anxiety attack right along with me!

Oh I hear you Jane. I am doing something that is not a card, but trying to figure out how I want to approach my directions, its as easy as a card, with just one or two items to stamp. So relax and enjoy some stamping time, don't sweat it my friend -- your cards are always so nice!

Great Jane! When your done with your card if you have time go ahead and make one for me! LOL Kidding it's on my to do list for this week. I was going to do it this weekend but I've totaly changed up my room and cleaned it I had some good size dust bunnies running around. My ribbon had out grown it's home yet again.....(hangs head in shame) so that has been moved. I got a new Cricut for Christmas so had to find space for that. Lots of fun! I feel like I spend more time finding the perfect place for things than I do crafting. It's almost done so I'll be stamping soon....I hope.

Another busy day! We left early this morning for Gettysburg to celebrate Christmas with my brother and his wife. They were staying at her mother's home, so we visited a while with her as well. Then off to lunch at the Gettysburg Pub for an excellent burger. I also shared a few spoons of DH's cream of crab soup which was delicious! Their other soup of the day was sweet potato raisin, which sounded more like dessert than an appetizer; we all passed on it...Then we made a quick stop at the Gettysburg Outlets and bought a few things for DH and the two kids that were with us (oldest DD and SIL left this morning for his parents house near the Poconos, leaving the dog with us). Then we raced home to let the dog out. It was a fun, but long day! I am struggling to stay awake - well it is nearly 10, so I will excuse myself and hop off to bed. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Good night!

We had a great visit from our friends down in Lothian today, they are big dog lovers and were very sad when we lost Rusty and Sadie so they were anxious to get up to meet Dusty and Sammy and see the little terrors again. And did they ever spoil the critters, lots of toys and goodies! I know the pooches were just as happy to see them as well! LOL
One more day and it's back to work for me for three days, then off again until after the new year. Rose, I sure wish I was in your shoes and didn't have to think about going back to work ever again! I've sure enjoyed my 10 days off! Hope you're enjoying your retirement!

Kathi - I am still in the back to work tomorrow mode. I had a little moment of anxiety yesterday when I realized I didnt have to go back to work on Monday.

Good morning! The sun is shining, it's not too cold and most of the snow has gone! Yipee!! DH has gone to get donuts for breakfast. I will soon get a pot of homemade veggie/ham soup on the stove for dinner...the Ravens play the Steelers this afternoon- here's to a good win!

Mom & I are going to make some butterscotch cookies today since we didn't get them made before Christmas. Then we might go to the movies to see It's Complicated. Has anyone seen it yet?

My harddrive on my computer bit the dust. It is still under warrantee but I have to send it in. So I will be without my computer for about 2 weeks. I am on my husbands laptop but he is very picky about what I do and where I go sense it is for work. So I will be missing in action for a while. Glad everyone had a great Christmas. We did here. It is so fun to have all the family here. The day after Christmas my husband said "There is nothing any sadder than a Christmas tree the day after Christmas." I guess I have to agree. Talk probably in about two weeks. Have a Happy New Year!!!

Neither day works for me - I will have a house full of company still on the 3rd and the FT Meade SBS is the 9th...sorry!

Good for you! I need some energy so I can clean up in my room. Anytime anyone has something they aren't sure where it goes, guess where it lands???? The piles keep growing and it is making me crazy! Maybe I should put a lock on the door (and use it!)

I have a few of those and I think I got them at Amazon. Big Lots had then a while ago (or so it was reported on SCS!) I use them for lots of stuff - old style stamp pads, embossing powders, glue bottles on their sides, my cell phone charger, etc. They come in black and white. Enjoy yours Mary! How awesome your son bought it for you!
I'm HOME! We got back about 2:30 today. It was fun, but exhausting even with a down day yesterday. We had tentative plans to visit with 4 different people and none of them worked out, so we had a very quiet day at the hotel which included swimming and naps and then went to my moms for leftover turkey for dinner I can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight though.
Got 4 CD cases set up to hold Nesties and have enough magnet sheet to do 2 maybe 3 more, which won't be quite enough to hold 'em all but it's a start. you can at least see my craft table now. first time in weeks.
Busy week coming up. Tuesday AND Thursday I have to be at Kimbrough EARLY( like at 0730). Tues to get a PPD test done, and Thursday to get it read plus the second Japanese Encephalitis shot.
Tomorrow I have to spend on the phone making appointments( and getting reminded on some.. I lost the sheet that has my next trip to Bethesda listed)
Wednesday all I have is the housekeepers coming and Friday.. so far.. is free, but that may change. Will probably use that day to take down the Tree.
anybody want a slightly used 6 Ft tall fake tree? we are not keeping it....

My organizing gene has gone alone w/my creative gene and my thinking gene. It is tough working on one brain cell. Don't grow old! The only gene left is the lazy gene.
Off for another cup of coffee to get my butt off this chair. This computer is driving me nuts too. So sloooowww. OK, enough whining. Sorry.
Off to do SOMETHING. I will NOT join Toby on the sofa.

I'm going to try and stamp today. I need some stamp time! It's been a long weekend...when does school start? LOL
Hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend. I was only up 1lb on the scale today I haven't checked in weeks with all the Holiday sweets around I didn't want to but I can live with just 1lb that's not as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. So back to my diet. I have a crockpot of veggie soup on to cook. Very yummy and like 1 point for a big bowl.
