The baby is itty bitty!!! Teeny tiny!
Ray is heading back tomorrow, I will be here another week : ) I did bring a little crafting stuff with me, and did spend a bit fo time today watercoloring. Otherwise, went touring and church- I was not too overly excited about the church. The priests sermon was great, but the mass was 1970 ish.......
Kelly, it poured here most of the day yesterday, too! Me-oh-my! The farmers sure didn't need that. And we even had some churches that called off evening worship due to flooding. (We also have thunderstorms in the forecast every day for the next 8 days.)
Shelly, I love - LOVE - the pictures! Such a sweet bundle to be snuggled! Enjoy your time there!
Shelly--I love the pictures. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your snuggle time!
Jeanette--so sorry for all of the rain. It was a cool weekend here, but no rain. We have some forecast for later this week, but that is OK as we can use some. We planted quite a few annual flowers in the ground in a couple of gardens and they can use rain on a regular basis. I have been watering every other day to make sure they get a good start!
Yes, he planted green beans, tomatoes, and a few other things too. Then had to replant the green beans the end of last week - the first ones never came up because of all the rain.
Now he's gone for two weeks - and with all this rain, no telling what he'll come home to.
He and DD are actually in NYC right now - I'm getting photos! They saw the memorial in PA where the plane crashed on 9/11 on yesterday and today they are at Ground Zero.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and happy Father's Day to those who celebrate, and hugs to thise who have loss loved ones! I have been plagued with allergies all weekend. It's from that Saharan Dust storm that passed over H Town over the weekend. I felt miserable, but went to work yesterday. I only stayed until 3. My nose was running like a faucet. I couldn't figure out what to do to make it stop. I finally went and got some chicken noodle soup for dinner and was so surprised that immediately my nose quite running!!!!!!! who knew!
I am having my procedure this morning on my sacral joint on right side, although from what the girl was saying, they may do both sides. My sis is taking me. I have to do an interview with her for one of my classes, so this will be the perfect time. I hope I'm up to it after the procedure.

Good Morning Inky Friends. We have went for a walk and worked in the gardens a bit this morning. We are heading to a memorial service for a friend who died of cancer a few weeks ago--too young at 60 and she just retired from education last year......... I hope to spend some time this afternoon in the stamp room as I want to get ahead. I have Camp Stamp-in-Oga this Saturday and next Wednesday I leave for Minnesota to attend Junkie Fest--so excited! I am trying get get organized for both events!
Well, look at that. The healing powers of Chicken Noodle Soup! I hope today's procedure goes well, Maggie - and the sis interview, too!
Jeanette, it was truly amazing. I know they always say that chicken noodle soup is good for you when you are sick, but I never realized it could dry up a runny nose like that.
It actually went very well except for the long wait. I had to go and ask the check in lady about when I was going to get called in. She said she was waiting to hear about my benefits. I told her that I had already met my deductible, so I wasn't going to owe anything. It was still about 10 minutes later that I went back. They offered my valium if I felt nervous, but I didn't so I declined. The procedures were not that bad. The deadening shot is the worst because you can feel that, but then the shot to add contrast, and then the shot with the medicine were tolerable. They did do both sides of my low back, so I hope that this does work and I can get some relief and be able to do normal things. They said to rest and take it easy for 24 hours, so I didn't go in to the office.
My sister took me. Since I didn't take the valium, I really didn't need a driver, but I needed to interview her for one of my class projects, so she came into the house when we got back and we did that. I went and rested for an hour and now going to try to get some school work done. One of my classes has a webinar today, so I think I'll attend that. I can't usually make those since they are during the day when I am at work.

Maggie, I'm glad that the procedure wasn't too bad... and you were able to get that interview. Resting didn't last long for you, though. I guess that means you were doing okay.

Actually doing very well. I did go an lay down a couple times during the day. I'd lay down for about an hour to give it a rest. Feel pretty good this morning. Still taking it a little easy. I'll see how things go at the office today.

Hello Ladies--late check in as I had two meetings for the shelter this morning and just getting online now. It is raining here today, so a perfect time to get inky! Happy Hump Day!
I have a dentist appointment this morning, a trip to Menards to get some bags of mulch and then a stop at church to get a key for Camp this weekend. Yesterday I did get some projects packed for camp on Saturday, so that is checked off of the list.
Good Morning--I am headed to church in a few minutes to set up for Camp Stamp-in-Oga this morning. We usually do Friday night, but Sarah has a wedding this afternoon. I have 10 boxes of rummage items and hope to come home with a lot less tomorrow night! The sun is shining and it is to be a great day! Have a Fantastic Friday!
Busy day today getting ready for my trip to Pittsburgh and Atlanta. I leave tomorrow to go to GRIP - Genealogy Institute for a week-long course. That ends on Friday at noon and then I'll be traveling to Atlanta to spend the weekend with my younger brother and sister-in-law. My youngest daughter will also be joining us, so we'll have a fun time catching up. I haven't seen my brother in about eight years. It's been a lot longer than that since my DD has seen him.
My DGD is coming this week to take care of the kitties inside and outside, pick up mail, and house sit. She'll come in the evening and spend the night, take care of the kitties in the morning and then she'll have the whole day to herself.
Not sure I told you guys that she got a job!!!!!!!! She just graduated from college with a degree in psychology and will be working with children with autism. She has some experience with this since her brother is a special needs person. I can't call him a child anymore since he's a junior in college.

Good Morning SCS Friends! It has been a very busy few days and the upcoming week will be even more........................... We set up Camp Stamp-in-Oga Friday morning and had 20 tables set for the rummage. Some ladies brought items on Saturday morning and all tables were overflowing! The total sales for maybe a dozen ladies were the best ever--yay! Saturday's morning class was fun--5 great cards were made! I spent the afternoon making some additional cards from the morning packets and took a fancy fold breakout class. The evening was spent working on a swap and all day was spent chatting and smiling! I love camp days!
We spent Sunday packing Rebecca's car for another electric car adventure, this time heading to Indiana and Ohio with 8 year old great-nephew Arlyn. They will leave from Chicago this morning, camping, visiting some state/national parks and exploring for 5 days! We had a wedding yesterday afternoon and as we got out of the car, I could hear one of my tires losing air................. We decided to stay for the wedding and see what it looked like when we were to leave as they are run-flat tires. The wedding was in the backyard of friends and the reception was at a local establishment--all within 7 miles of our house. When we got back to the car, the leak had stopped and I could drive the short distance home to pick up Rebecca's car, drop mine off at a local repair shop and leave the keys for repair, then head to reception for a few hours. I texted the owner of the shop as he lives three doors away and he will look at the tire this morning as well as check all of the others. I bought this used car in October and am not sure of the age of the tires--they looked good, so I am hoping they are not the original ones and this just needs repair instead of replacing.
So--right now I have no car and I had plans for a couple of errands along with stamp class at Sarah's. I hope to get there later, but we will see. I also need to finish final packing for Junkie Fest as I am leaving early Wednesday morning for Minnesota. I am taking 7 classes and we have a supply list for each class along with general supplies needed. I am so excited and also a bit nervous for such a large event. There are 188 attendees and 240 total people with teachers, helpers and administrators. Amy, a friend from the area, is riding with me, we are picking up a third along the way and then a fourth in MN--plus stops at a couple of stamp stores along the way. And, then there is the swag bag we are to receive--Amy went last year and said the one they got was worth over $800!
Sorry it is so long this morning--I guess I feel chatty!
Good Morning--the sun is shining and we are to get in the 80's today and for the next three days! It rained on and off yesterday, so it was an okay day to be stranded inside. The bad news is that the tire cannot be fixed, as it is worn out on the sidewall and I will need to get 4 new tires. The good news is that it happened here and not along the road, especially tomorrow when I am heading to MN! I am hoping to get it back early this afternoon so I can still run some errands before we leave tomorrow morning. I was able to get everything packed for JF yesterday, so I am relieved about that.
I know I will not be online tomorrow morning and I am not taking my laptop to JF, so I doubt I will be here until Monday morning. I will get home Sunday and Rebecca is doing a house concert Sunday night. It is a benefit for someone a friend knows whose son was injured at day care and has lots of medical bills. Have a Terrific Tuesday and a fantastic rest of the week--I know I Will!!!!!!
Good Morning--quick check in. My stuff is in the car, waiting for Amy, enjoying a cup of coffee, 4 new tires for the ride, 6 hours on the road, three stops at stamp stores, I think I am ready--Junkie Fest here I come!
Hi Stamp Addicts. Just a quick check in. I am here in Pittsburgh attending the Genealogical Institute. It's been great, learning lots and meeting a bunch of new people. I haven't had a lot of free time. If I'm not in class, then I am in my hotel getting my homework done for school. I should have that all finished by tonight. Tomorrow after class which ends at noon, I head to the airport for my flight to Atlanta to spend the weekend with my brother, SIL, and DD. Should be a fun time. I need to make sure to get lots of photos. I'll be home Sunday evening, but I'm taking off Monday also. When I get back to work, my boss will be gone. He is taking his whole family to Cancun this week. He'll be back in the office on Friday.
The next few weeks will be interesting. I know I've told you that there is a merger going on with us and another large firm. Actually, our firm is being bought out by the other firm. Moving to the new firm is not a done deal. They will be issuing "offers" to all the employees for us to decide if we want to go to the new firm. The staff get theirs, I think, the week of July 8, so I may be retiring sooner than later. We'll see what happens.
