Hello everyone! I am back from the beach and ready to get crafting and blogging! I just visited all the blogs. I loved all that you all have been working on. I feel inspired to create! My hope is that will happen tomorrow. I am getting all the household stuff done today. The trip was wonderful! It went by way too fast! I played with my Gypsy while I was away. The Gypsy is one of those things that when I don't use it often I forget what to do with it. While on the trip I worked on regaining my "Gypsy skills". LOL I also got to visit a great little craft store called Paper Tales. I posted my haul of stuff on my blog. I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth!

Congratulations Brandy. Fabulous! If they have an opening on their DT, go for it.
I just was invited to be on the DT for Gingerloft. I've played in their challenge a couple of times and this last time they were having a DT call, so I applied and was accepted!
Finally back to work and have full weeks now until Labor Day. Always looking forward.

Love the photo on your blog of your DD running in the water. Glad you had a great time and were able to relax.
Your "stuff" looks great. You're going to have a lot of fun creating things with that.
I'm like you. I have a Gypsy and even took a class on how to use it, but I forget also from time to time. I have some new carts that I have to link up to it. Maybe if I did more scrapbooking I would use it more although I do use my Cricut for different things.

time to go to work now . hopefully i'll finish something for y'all tonite
I did get my blog updated yesterday. I'm still hoping to get a card posted today. Instead of making my card this morning I made an 'organizational' item instead to help me keep up with the blogs and plan ahead for bumps in the road.

Left love Brenda. Fell in love with your haul and have been to their site already! Must get in the green first. And if rumors about the SU Holiday mini are any indication, that is NOT going to be easy hehe

I just posted my first Teapot Tuesday card in weeks. It felt wonderful to be back in the studio! I hope you enjoy. I'll get around to blogs this evening if the storm stays away.

I stamped an image for my card last night, but didn't get the chance to work on it. Tonight a GF came over for awhile to visit and then I had to get my PSC card scheduled to post on my blog. While I was going through Feline Playful looking for other challenges to submit to, I came across the Jackson's Digital Expressions. They had been doing a July Release Hop that I took part in. Guess what!!! I was the winner twice! I won an image from JDE and then I won the grand prize of a grab bag - one image from 5 different stores! I'm so excited!

Happy Friday the 13th everyone!
I've started the first post in my new scrapbooking series. I'm trying to get this album done - or to the point where we are in pictures/ remodeling right now - before my MIL gets here on the 8th of August. Wish me luck! LOL

Hello Everyone! @ Michelle - Thanks for updating the list. I am SUPER excited to see myself on it. ha-ha I will visit your blog (and everyone's) over the weekend. @ Maggie - Congratulations on your win! Very exciting and great prizes at that. About the Gypsy....I bought it when it first came out. I was so excited about the weld feature. My goal was to use it to make shaped cards. The Mrs. Potts on my blog was welded with the Gypsy. I have all my cartridges linked to it but still feel the need to bring the cartridge book out whenever I am using the Gypsy. It is way to hard to figure out all those layers just using the Gypsy. I need the visual of the book. I still do not see myself using it for more than welding cards. I need to get in the habit of planning all the layers out on the Gypsy and run the mat thru the Cricut once (you know, color block them on the mat). Anyway, I have rambled about the Gypsy long enough. LOL I guess it is just one of those purchases that has yet to do for me what I hoped it would. LOL I hope all of you are having a fantastic weekend. I am off to post a card to my blog. Take care.
Hi Gals! Quick question.... Do you photograph the card you want to upload to your blog or do you scan it??? I have always photographed it. Tonight I scanned it. Not sure which I like better. Wondering what you all do. Thanks in advance for the feedback. (I actually got my card up and no I did not use my Cricut. LOL I really do rubber stamp LOL)
I photograph my cards, but usually scan scrapbook layouts. I think the photos look better, give a little more dimension. My photography skills are not great, but my cards still look better than when I scan them.

I take pics of all of mine, resize them in my FastStone program. My scanner doesn't work right and it's quicker to take several pics of a card then just keep the one I like hehe

I checked it out. That's so fabulous that you'll be able to do that. Wish I could better divide up my time so I could get some scrapbooking in during the week or month! Hope you get to where you want to me. How long will the MIL be staying with you?

You are much farther along in knowing what to do with your Gypsy than I am. I guess I need to go back through the tutorials one of these days when I'm actually going to use it to make something and maybe I'll be able to keep that in my brain. Is there a book or is it just online?

I photo mine since most of them have a lot of embellishments on them that don't really scan very well. I guess if I did a CAS card without added flowers or buttons, then I could scan it, but I like the photos pretty much.

And I can't wait to see them. I really need to be in my stamp room every night this week. I have so many things that need to be finished.

@ Maggie I got the gypsy manual online and printed it out. I have also watched some tutorials on how to use it. I still have to look at the manual every time I use it though. I need to use it more often.

the camera I am using now is set at the wrong mega pixel to share it my computer is having hiccups with re sizing so I scan : ( If I ever find my Sony Cyber Shot I will definitely take pictures of my cards again...
Congrats, new stamps are so fun! And it doesn't get better than free! I have just made my rounds and some of you have been very busy! I finished my 100in100 Challenge on Sunday and will spend today straightening up my studio, I have a new toy coming today and need to make room. I finally made the decision to sell my Cricut Expression and cartridges and after much research, decided to purchase a Silhouette Cameo with the Designer Edition software. I hope the learning curve is not too steep, this old brain of mine doesn't catch on as quick as it used to! Have a great week y'all!

That's awesome that you are getting the Silhouette. I was thinking about making a similar change because I have the Make the Cut software and it is no longer allowed with cricut. I have plenty of cartridges but they seriously just take up space and collect dust. I am not quite ready to make the jump, but please let us know how you like it!
As for scanning vs photos. I mostly take pictures as I feel I can do more with the photos. Maybe because my scanner is slower than an old turtle and that just drives me nuts.
As for the Gypsy and Silhouette, I once owned the Silhouette but I never really "got into it" so I sold it. Now I'm kind of kicking myself because scrapbooking is coming back into my life and I love the look of the words all together. But, such is life. For now, my Cricit and Cuddlebug will have to make me happy.
I'm off to visit your blogs and leave some love. I did post a sweet little project I did this week.
Oh....AND....I got onto a design team. Not officially announced yet so more information coming soon.
