Had a nice evening with the grands last night. We played games and watched a movie. Finally got them into bed at 11 so I could go to bed! We're going to the movies today and out to lunch.

Hey girls
I'm home from the Stamp convention. Wow! I met some amazing people, learned a couple of cool things I'll be sharing on my blog this week AND got donations for Blog Hop Candy!
I'm off to get some much needed sleep but will check in on blogs before I go to bed and cy'all tomorrow.

Happy Monday, ladies!
I've been around to everyone's blogs. I need to see who I'm missing on my blog roll. Also, of the ones on my blog roll, only 4 had new posts up. Hmmm

Hi girls!
I've updated my blog roll to match the links Michelle has on Post #1. There were a couple that are blogging but haven't been back here and there are two that haven't posted anything as far back as February.
I'll be commenting on Tess' blog more now that I have her on my blog roll and hopefully we can get her active here. Come Nov. 1, I'll be housecleaning unless I hear from people otherwise.
On another note, I seem to have caught a headcold while in St. Louis last weekend. Oh Yeah! I'm going to see what the TeaPot Tuesday card is. If it is an easy one I'm going to try and get it made tonight so I can do a quick upload just in case all I want to deal with is Nyquil and a pillow tomorrow.

Sorry I haven't been by in a while. My poor blog hasn't been updated lately either. I have more family visiting and dropped DD1 back off at college. School starts for the other two next week and I should be crafting again soon!
I'll try to visit blogs this week and leave some love.
Kelly, did you go to the stamp show this weekend? Was Soni going as well?

I went Nancy, but Soni had to cancel at the last minute due to a personal challenge.
I'll be sharing stuff from the convention on my blog over the next 2 weeks. Met some neat people, got blog candy for our hop in February and learned a really cool - 'stained glass' look technique. :-)
Welcome back, Nancy!

Can't wait to see what you got & did at convention. I love a convention!!
I had fun, Brenda. I got to meet up with some of my SMMR yahoo group. Most of us are from MO and this is still the only time we get together LOL. We do an ATC swap with all convention attendees at 11 and then we sit and gab for a bit before we are pulled back into the hall to shop. hehe
You guys are going to love the 'stained glass' technique. Soooo simple.
I also got a brief demo from Terry Medearis on colored pencil techniques. Anxious to play with it. Terry was one of my blog candy donators (offered) and I WILL take his full class first chance I get.

Brandy...so glad you are back with us. Thanks for checking in
Kelly....a head cold in the summer....BIG YUCK! But so happy you learned new stuff at the convention. Can't wait till you teach us.
I think maybe Tess has forgotten that she's part of this group maybe because I know she's on other blogging groups. Maybe???!
Good to hear from you Nancy and welcome back!
Thank you ladies for visiting everyone's blogs....it's so much appreciated! That extra little bit, goes such a long ways some days. Hugs to you all and hope you have a great week. I'm off to my art room on a fun flowery project. Sewing machine, paint, mod podge, paper and wire. Hmmmmm......

Hope you're making progress with getting everything unpacked and put away. I like the items you've been putting on your blog and left you some love on one of them. Your coloring is fabulous!

Hope you're feeling better today Kelly. Stick with the chicken noodle soup, meds, and rest.
I was hoping to get to the Teapot Tuesday card last night, but I was so tired from late nights over the weekend. I tried to get to bed about 8:30, but then my sis called and we talked for almost an hour. I did turn the lights off at 10 and feel more rested today.

I think summers are very hard for crafting and blogging. With kids off from school, family vacations, guests visiting, it gets tight.
Hope to see some more of your work once the kids are back in school. Enjoy your time with the family visiting. That's most important.

Sounds like a fun day Maggie. I love going to the movies.
Me too, but I don't do it as often as I'd like. Mostly I don't have anyone to go with, so it was nice to have the grands over and we could go enjoy a movie together.

Can't wait to see what you've learned. What exactly is "blog candy"? I've heard that used a couple of time, but not really sure what it is.

Sounds like a fun project Michelle. Can't wait to see the finished product. Your Art is always so beautiful.
I'm not sure about Tess either. I visit her blog regularly and always leave a comment, but I haven't had a visit from her for some time now. But that's okay. Sometimes we commit halfheartedly to something and then stuff happens and that goes by the wayside.

So this morning was my first blog entry on the eP site. It's funny how my blog is so easy to just put stuff out onto but when I do it for a company, I quake in my boots!
Hope you all have a great weekend. I'm off to visit your blogs and have a Diet Coke with my Nana.

Your flower is just beautiful Michelle. You need to add it to your blog also.

'blog candy' refers to the goodies they give away to some lucky commentor. Sometimes a blogger will do it just to help increase comments. But most often they are associated with a hop.
For hops they can work multiple ways
1 - if you leave a comment on EVERY blog within the hop your name goes into a drawing for goodies - usually company donated
2 - an individual blogger within the hop may choose to give away a little something on her blog in conjunction with the BIG prize. The usual request is that you become a follower of their blog, link back to their blog from yours ... that kind of thing. It's to increase traffic.
Does that help?

So my email is no longer with Yahoo. It seems Yahoo is just not for me anymore. I get errors every day and it's just not worth my time anymore. So......I have signed up for your blog updates with my old email address. I'm off to re-sign up for your updates. This will be a fun thing to do over my mini vacation. LOL

Yep. I saw on someone's blog the other day that they were making embellishments to use on cards that they were calling "blog candy." Just seeing what is everyone's idea of that term.

No new posts Thur or today. I spent all day finishing up a swap project. I'll be posting it next week, along with the stuff I'd intended to post this week :-)
Head cold is gone, maybe I'll get back on track over the weekend.

Hoping to get some crafting time in tonight before bed. I just got home from dinner with a GF that I haven't seen in a couple of months. She's been out of town visiting her DD who just moved down to Corpus from SC. It was really nice to have some time to chat again. I sure have enough projects that I need to be working on.

Kelly- Hi! That is exactly what I thought blog candy was. I figure we can give out stamps, ink pads, etc. Once we pick our theme & date we will have to figure out which blog is giving out what. Super excited to do this hop!

Michelle- Oh how I love a diet coke! Especially a "fountain" one I have your EP button on my blog. Did you get to see it?
Hello Everyone! Quick question.....I posted replies to all who commented on my Disney Friends blog post. Did you receive the reply in your e-mail or do you have to check my blog to see what I wrote you back. This end of my blog confuses me. Also I am thinking of going to a label list of posts on my sidebar. That way if someone wants a particular topic it is easily found. Since I combine crafts and Disney I thought that this might help those following me find what they want. What do you all think?
Found two great stamps today! One was at a used store and it is from Visions of Ink. Anyone remember that company? I love their line and wish I would of bought all of it as they are no longer in business. I also bought an adorable Halloween gal by Stamendous. I will be at a scrap club on Sun afternoon. It's a scrap club but I always stamp at it. Too much work to haul my scrap stuff for a few hours. I am still busy with the 50th bday album for my friend. I am not making as much progress as I would like. I have been trying to stop by your blogs at least once a week if not more. Take care- Happy Weekend!!!!!

Labels are a MUST if you want to attract outsiders to your blog. The labels are what helps bring your blog to the forefront on Google searches. So if someone is searching for Stampendous, if you've posted a project using that and put Stampendous in as a label, then somewhere in the google search, your blog should come up. Depending on how close to the google search you made that post (date wise) will determine where in the search you come up.
As to replies to comments, the only way we'll see if you replied to one of our posts is if we 'subscribe' to have those notifications sent to our email. Otherwise it's up to us to just check back if we've left a question for you.
That is what I usually do as I have enough email coming into my box. LOL.
I'd not heard of Visions of Ink. I bought a new Halloween stamp and 4 spools of ribbon from Studio G at WM yesterday. the stamp set has a crow, witch legs (from about the knee down to the shoes) and a witch's hat. And yeah, I needed more ribbon - NOT LOL

Thanks for the info Kelly. I just went to WM here yesterday & no stamps:( I did pick up a Cricut cartridge for $20 which was half off so that was good.
Another good blog tip... link back to a company or artist's site whenever you can. For companies, they keep tabs on who's linking back to them - through google searches. As for artists, it's just good networking. Whenever I can contact an artist, I always email them to let them know they inspired my project and that I've linked back to their sight.
