I had to ask because I collect bears. I have over 500 in various shapes and sizes. When we lived in the Victorian in IL, I had 2 bear trees at Christmas. One was all Pooh Bear and one was all Beanie bears (close to 30) IN the tree with over 100 'other' bears in and around the base of the tree. Some are dated, some talk. I have one that tells the story of how the Teddy Bear got it's name. I also have a pull-string bear from the 1950s

This is the first hobby I've had that he has been supportive of...most likely because I don't have stuff laying all over the family room! LOL
I like how efficient this space is! I noticed in one of the pictures that you have a color wheel. I got one for Christmas in hopes it would help me organize my papers according to the wheel. It hasn't been much help though and I don't know if I'm just color challenged. Example where in the heck does brown paper go?

Your craft room is fantastic! Could you loan me your hubby to come build something for me? Ha! I love seeing how organized some of you are. My supplies are spread all over the house, and I have two main working areas - one for me alone and one for me & friends. Sometimes if I get too many friends here at once, I have to work on the coffee table, but no problem since that's where my Big Kick sets anyway.
Back on CCC topic - I really haven't given much thought to January cards yet, although I do remember seeing one that I was going to CASE. I marked it, so should be able to find it when I decide to make January's cards. I love looking at the galleries and am impressed with how ambitious some of you are. Thanks VikkiJo for the reminders.

OMG carolc1027 I LOVE your craft room. I have been trying to organize for 2 years plus. everytime I hake headway one of the grandbabies needs to come visit & "help" me... love them to pieces but the oldest is 3 1/2 and just too cute to get mad at then I start over again. she loves to scrapbook so I can't help but let her make books at grandma's
Your craft area looks great, the hubby and I have been working on doing my area for the past few months, but we still have a lot more to do. I cleaned it up this weekend, so atleast it looks a little better than it normally does, just very crammed together. I'm thinking a big storage shelf/containers under my stairs would be great, especially for my non-SU stuff, and retired items that I don't use all that often.
We got between 30-35cms (about 1.5 feet) of snow this weekend, so I'm staying inside today, just making some Christmas cards, and I'm thinking some of those b-day cards for friends/family members that are coming up. Oh, and for our niece, the hubby and I decided to get her some passes for her and a friend or two to go to the movies. We usually offer the girls (we have 3 nieces) a dinner and a movie out for their b-days or a present, and she usually goes for the movie, but we talked to her parents and we all agreed that she's getting older and they're ok if she goes with friends instead. I just need to go and pick up some passes for her and some friends and hopefully they enjoy it.
Please count me in! This will be my first time participating on SCS. This year's card frenzy was way too late and I mailed more than half of my cards just after Christmas for the first time ever. I'd love to get a head start this year! I will shoot for 10 cards a month. I'm hoping this way I will have enough completed in time to donate to Operation Write Home.

Thanks for hosting the challenge, and thanks for the terrific instructions for posting!
Please count me in. I'll do between 5 and 10. I signed up last year, but didn't end up doing them, as computers took turns acting up, then dying and then health reason. I've already started this years.
Snow day! No school today! We got 7 inches, which is a LOT for Texas! I think I will try to work on my March cards today.
This really isn't FAIR! All you lovely people who shouldn't be seeing snow have enough to play in. Here in the Ozarks, we're just 20 degrees below avg. in temp and not a flake to be seen :-( Please send snow asap!

Carol, one of the things I liked about your craft room is how you and hubby double-dutied the storage shelves. You still have the storage you need on BOTH sides. That's pretty ingenious!

Yeah... I don't have room for them here! LOL Not yet anyway ;-) Haven't had the opportunity to finagle how things need to go in this house yet. 1st Christmas in the house - still had boxes to unpack. 2nd Christmas in the house - focused on our first Christmas with our grandtoddler. 3rd Christmas in the house - just didn't seem to be a priority for me apparently
Maybe next year.

Oh dear! I've just totted up how many cards I will need, and I've underestimated how many I send. Please can you increase my total to 10 per month. I'm number 36 on the list (I think)
Thanks

So... I have to ask... what is it you ring? Handbells?
Please count me in! It's time I stop stressing over cards in December and work a little bit each month 5 each month sounds good to me! Thanks for organizing this!
yup, and it looks like we are supposed to get another 10-15cms (0.5 feet) before friday. Atleast I bought the hubby a snowblower for Christmas so he can do it all when he gets home.
I've been working on some birthday and valentine's cards since I've got a bunch to send out. Since today looks like it will be a snowy in day (it's -31 outside and snowing), I'm going to go down to the basement and do some christmas cards and wait for the UPS man to bring my new SU stamps in.
I'm going to give this a go, I am really tired of starting my cards in August and still rushing them at Christmas.
Thanks for the challenge it will be fun to see everyones cards and to case. I am going to try for 10 cards a month.
Keep in mind, ladies, I'm still planning to do the CCC VSD here on the 25th.
Maybe by then I'll be able to get to the craft room computer LOL so I won't be running up and down stairs.
