Just popping in to see if anyone new was sitting on the steps. :-)
This is my writing day so won't be around here much. But you can find me a the VSN thread from 6- 11 p.m. EST tonight.
If you've never done Virtual Stamp Night, clear some work space and come join us! It's FUN! And you'll have up to 6 new cards when you're done.
Should have a pic of steps on here... too cute!
Thank you so much Kelly!
I missed VSN.. I hate having to work on Fridays. but then again it is payday! LOL
Hi everybody, I'm new to this site. I know its late in the month, but I really want to do this challenge, it sounds fun and just what I need. I am aiming to do 10 cards a month, so, watch this space...........
I think I'd like to join, too. I usually need about 90 cards and it's very stressful getting them all done in December. So that means I should be doing 8 a month.
Is it ok if they're essentially all the same? I usually do multiples of the same card, with maybe a variant, each year.
I'm almost done with my cards for this month. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one into my gallery tonight. I'm not sure I like what I'm doing, but I'm not going to redo the design again. I haven't had a chance to look at everyone's cards yet.
My name is Abby and i live on Vancouver Island and i love splitcoast...this is such a neat formum with so many amazing women and some men(who I am sure are also amazing...LOL)
Not sure if this is the place to post this message as i have never done this before, I am going to attempt....successfully... to produce 4 christmas cards a month....thanks for letting me play along.

Hi, everyone!
It's a good thing I got my January and February cards done early. I have been swamped the past two weeks. Things don't seem to be slowing down. We have been either out of town or having weekend guests for months. We had a two week lull and my calendar is filling up again...commitments through February! I have one weekend free in February (I hope it stays that way), and I plan to make my March cards then. I have colored a few images here and there, so that's some progress.
Have a great day, everyone!

I needed to take the big bedspread into the laundry and I thought I'd be back by 9. Silly me. Everyone in the restaurant (connected to the laundry) wanted to know where I've been the last couple weeks. It was catch-up at the cafe this morning.hehe Guess I should leave the house more often then every couple of weeks :-D
I am still working on Christmas Cards and will be here on and off throughout the day to chat.
Have one little snag so won't be checking in as frequently. Hubby is coming home a day early and should be here in a couple hours. For those of you who don't know, he is a riverboat Captain in Chicago and gone 3 weeks at a time.

You have entered the January VSD (Virtual Stamping Day) Gathering.
There is NO REASON to panic. Just because there are only 6 days left of this challenge month. ;-)
You're commitment is your own. Believe me, it's easy to fall behind but Vikki and I are here to help you along your journey to a Stress Free Christmas Card season... hopefully to prevent as much as we can from you losing your way. Everyday life we have no control over. But know we are here when you need a place to escape. :-)
So, that out of the way - LET'SSTAMP!

I have approx. 2 hours to play Suzy Homemaker - getting minor things out of the way I'd normally have done tomorrow. Bob will have been up since 4 this morning and on the road for approx. 8 hours. I see nap time/ stamping time in my future this afternoon ;-) But I'll be popping in all day to see who's stamping today.
Remember... you can work on ANY MONTH. If you've already done January, or February.... hehe - you're welcome to play anyway! Get ahead as much as you can before Summer Activities hit.

I did have to work today, but I think I can probably get some design ideas done so that I can just sit down and stamp. Sometimes, the thinking about a card takes me the longest!
Oh, how I would LOVE for my husband to be gone 3 weeks at a time, preferably consecutively!
You might THINK you would. But I'll bet if you really thought about it...
Bob and I have been married 27 years this year and he's still my best friend. I get a lot accomplished the 3 weeks he's gone. The next 3 weeks he's home - not so much. BUT not because he doesn't allow me to. I put everything aside to spend as much time with him as possible because you just never know... ya know?
That said - I read the comment to him and he said..
"yeah but then there's that 3 weeks he's home you have to put up with him interrupting your schedule. " :-D Gotta Love him!

If nothing else, I have 2 sets of 12 images stamped from when I was stamping images for the CCC monthly envelopes. While I had the stamps inked up, I went ahead and stamped my images to work with.
I need to get another bottle of Snow Writer to work with one though. Hope I can find it 'outside' of the holiday season.

So what is Snow Winter? powder, liquid, glue that expands when dry...
Have you seen Snow Tex in the plastic jars? Used for putting a 'snow' effect on wooden holiday decor items? It's that stuff but in a bottle with a nozzle tip. Little thinner than the Snow Tex so it will come out of the tip.
If you've not seen that, think a thick white paint with a gritty texture... almost like a craft version of white concrete.
You squeeze it on where you want the snow effect, then dust it with a fine glitter. Gives you a textured, glittery snow on the roof, trees, etc.
