You could set a personal, specific target within the framework of this challenge, which is what I did: one month I'd decide I was going to use four older or never-used LOTV stamps, another month it might have been Purple Onion, another month Unity, then Stampavie. For me, that personal commitment along with taking part in the challenge with other people was enough to see me through achieving my goal, and specific enough to give focus - especially if I pulled four stamps at the start of the month and had them on my desk.

I meant keep it the way it is using our stash and not buying new, like lovepaper said. And just adding one general instruction - for example, one time it might be using paper we already have, though of course other items could be used too. Another time might be stamps, or dies, etc. And it could be more than a week.
When I can choose anything from my entire stash universe I might choose nothing. But if given even one broad direction, I unfreeze.
But having not participated in this thread, I don’t get a vote - just tossing it out there and am glad Sabrina pointed us to the thread.
Yay completed my final card with this years 2019 VSN (Snow Globe) Challenges!!
This threads inspiration has clearly inspired me using up stash that's just been hoarded to long!!!!
Does preventing stash build up count? I have a bad habit of ordering packs of DSP and then not using it. This year I decided I have to use my Brightly Gleaming papers. I saw a video about how to use five sheets of coordinating papers, cutting a stack of five into shapes and reassembling them mixed together. I hope I can find it again to acknowledge the lady who made it. Anyway, here are some New Years cards I made using two sentiments. ( one card has been sent already)
I did use stash items as well... Vanilla confetti cardstock, and copper cardstock. Also, my stamps are quite old. The Happy New Year one is at least thirty years old, orange rubber on orange foam... I found the link to the tutorial. Stack And Cut Quilt Cards Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
My oldies that have been in my stash for years is my coarse, glitter glass and my gold-edged metallic ribbon. Here is my card: Happy Christmas & To All A Goodnight!

This Christmas card uses lots of old things found in my Mom's stash...the paper (it is actually has the name removed from being used once before, so I don't know who made it), the Maya Arts twine, and one of the oldest Stampin' Up dies, Labels Collection, used as the mat layer under the sentiment.
My brand new stuff, never used, is from this year's Christmas stamp purchases and my new plaid paper. My old stuff includes a 2017 retired sentiment stamp that hasn't been used since 2017 Christmas cardmaking. Here is my card: Season's Greetings in a Z-Fold Card!

The stamp, Winter Woods, that I used on this card was bought in 2018, and I only used it once that year...here a year later, I'm using it a second time. I also pulled out my white embossing powder...not used since September 2017!! Can't figure that one out...I love that look!
Still playing catch-up with uploading, posting and challenges. Here is my newest upload which used an old embossing folder...Stampin' Up Woodland embossing folder. It's probably been at least four years since I used it: Christmas Brings A Spirit of Peace!

I pulled out a stamp set purchased last June that I had not used yet to stamp my ornament. I also pulled out my old, old olive glitter paper from at least five years ago.

Another gallery-entry and challenge catch-up card. I got so far behind while helping my sister out right after Christmas and almost through January, so I am trying to dig myself out!
I am using “dusty” old 2018 Christmas paper and a 2017 stamp for the sentiment. (No new “old” unused stuff of this card). Here is my card: Merry Christmas from Our Family to Yours!

Still playing gallery entry and challenge catch-up! Here's a card that I've used old stamps, dies, and papers from as long ago as 2012 up to 2016! Pines at Christmas!

My card is all about old stuff in my stash by digging out, finishing and modifying a 2017 Christmas card kit design, using a 2015 Holiday Snowflake EF, stamp set, metallic snowflakes, and washi tape. Here is my card: Christmas with Snowflakes & Gold Bling! #1
