Another catch-up challenge entry. This one's for the October 17th, "Leaves." My card depicts a fall scene with the leaves in full fall color both on the trees and on the ground: A Cardmaking Birthday Buddy to Celebrate!

Ive made a mess in my craft room, took my new bits and bobs up there and then got carried away putting the suitcases away and getting the Christmas tree ready to put up
So everything is just on the desk, then Steve wanted a box to pack some gifts in for our son, I knew all those boxes would be useful eventually, then he wanted some foam, guess what I had some, not sure where it came from or when but now I found a use for it.
I’m hoping to have time to make some holders for our cutlery to use on Christmas Day. I saved some hessian and saw something on Pinterest!!!!
I had a quick go with my new die that I want to use to do scrapbooking, it’s smaller than I thought but I will give it a try although I realised the folders you can buy to put the pages in are expensive so I will make my own
Happy weekend..we did another room today..our upstairs sitting room. I fell in love with my antique wash stand all over again lol.
Tomorrow is poppet day and night. Yay. A day off decluttering and cleaning lol.

I was putting away the bits I bought and found that I had bought a Disney paper pad , I bought it as I saw it had cameras on some of the sheets, now I can scrap our Disney visit from a year ago!!!
I also watched a YouTube where they laminate the pages, guess what I will be doing, Steve has loads of laminate pockets left from when he used to make football posters.
Oh and Steve nearly chopped his finger off pruning the orange tree, I came downstairs and he was sitting with kitchen roll round his finger stuck on with sellotape, I got the wipes out and cleaned it, wrapped it up and cut a finger off my new rubber gloves so it did t get wet in the shower, that was Steve’s idea! Trouble is he takes blood thinners so it takes a long time to stop bleeding
I was away on Thursdsy and Friday. When I arrived home last evening, I found lots of cards in my mailbox. Among them was your card Sharon. I love the scripture, and the ombre stamping. Thanks so much.
Jayne, keep up the good work with your organizing. And stay cool. 40 degrees is too hot to be working. It's right around 0 degrees here. When I first got up, it was raining, and one degree, and within the next hour, it started to snow and has continued all day. My neighbour has blown out my driveway. I have not even been outside yet (it's just past 2 p.m.) looks like about 5 inches.
My son-in-law spent this past week in Redwood City, California for his job. My daughter was upset about being alone with the kids all week, so I decided to take her and the boys to Niagara Falls, Thursday and Friday. The sun was shining, the roads were clear and the temp was above freezing, so we had a good drive and a wonderful time there. Our room on the 16th floor was overlooking the falls, which gets lit up at night. We rode the incline railway from our hotel to the falls level. We swam in the pool, we walked along the falls and river, had lunch in the rainforest cafe, and my daughter and the 7 year old took in some of the amusement places (maze of mirrors, lazer maze, Ripley's 'Believe it or not' and more, while I walked with the 3 year old in the stroller. I'm so glad the snow did not come until today!

Kathy, I don't think I would like to find any of those dogs under my tree. They all look like they would not only eat Santa's cookies, but also the hand that feeds them.

Breakfast in our hotel, watching the sunrise over the falls.
A mini golf course in the entertsinment district. The course was filled with many dinosaurs, and the kids loved it. We will go back in the spring to play the course.

Ina our three year old GS would love that park, he is mad about dinosaurs, tells me off if I get the names wrong. Takes me back as his Dad loved them too and used to make air fix models of them.
The views are amazing.
Redwood City is quite close to where our son lives, we drive to San Mateo quite often which is the next place on.
Omg can't BEleive when I checked in I was 3 or 4 threads back!! So sorry my loving sisters just a lot going on I. Life at the moment and with MIL passing and we getting ready for her services I won't even be able to send any Xmas cards this year I just hope I can at least make something for the thread that ann usually sets up for everyone one on scs to post . But just know even if I'm not here your all always in my hearts and mind as well as prayers!!
Had to come in with A quick love you all Fairy Much and a fairy fairies Much Mahalos to Sis Kathy , Sis Jan, and Sis Lynn for the gorgeous Xmas cards!! Xoxoxox

Toronto's version of irony. 18 wheel transport truck.. On the side in big letters.."follow me to happiness"... The butt end of the truck in stuck on a busy street.. The middle of the truck has a light post embedded.. The front of the truck is almost in a restaurant. 3 ways of traffic blocked at rush hour! NO ONE is happy!
I guess I should start rhinking of putting up a new S2S challenge thread. First things first. I am making a wedding card today. It will be a special fold 5 1/2 by 7 card.

I’ve been busy transferring my photos from my iPad and iPhone to my PC, trying to organise my photos. Then I saved them onto Discs, while I was doing them I saw some photos from years ago Id forgotten about so it was lovely to look back.
I also put up the Christmas tree ready for GS arriving on Friday morning, made mince pies, mainly to try the oven as we never use the big oven, we have a mini oven that we used for the two of us.
Playing challenge catch-up for 10/31/19 – “Celebrate Jan.”
I chose Jan’s card: Spring Bouquet. I am staying with the flower bouquet and similar colors, but making mine a bit more vintage with more layering, and a stamped and colored image rather than die-cuts.
I still print my pictures. Technology is constantly changing and you can never be sure the programs you save pictures in will still be there in the future. I would hope so, but if I really want memories I will print those.
A while ago I scanned in two huge boxes of slides. I have also scanned in a ton of baby pictures. They are in a simple jpg format. I put it all on an external hard drive and gave it to my son for Christmas. He liked that much more than the year I bought him linens! Lol I also have many photo boxes of actual pictures. So there is a backup.
Now Jan there is a simple solution. Tell the kids! A few years ago I told grumpy I was looking for a digital photo frame since there was a ton of digitals photos I didn't have access to. So sweet pea and grumpy got me the digital frame and loaded it with all the photos from their phones! I loved it..they were happy cause they had no idea what to get me for Christmas.
Happy Wednesday everyone. Popping on to say a quick hello and hope that you are all well. So much chat and I'm way behind. I shall have to start as I go for now...sorry. I'm supposed to be sorting through some boxes but I need a distraction LOL. I've got the xmas carols cranked up and it's starting to feel a lot like xmas here. I'm on track.
The decluttering and cleaning has been light on this week as we had other things to do plus our energy levels were depleted. We still have to finish 1.5 rooms as we chose to clean all of the outside deck and windows yesterday. This morning hubby sprayed everything for spiders and it's all back to normal and ready for Xmas. Tomorrow we are back into it. The good news is that our to do list for next year is down to 1/2 page...yay, including Lyn, I am to sort and go through all photos. Your suggestion is welcomed.
Happy day everyone and hope everyone is well. Sis Vicki I have been thinking of you all over the past week. Hugs and to everyone

Lynn my eldest bought me one for Christmas probably about ten years ago, I still have it, somewhere, we were going away so often and I am manic about unplugging everything that I kept forgetting my passwords to get back in, I will have to dig it out as the photos will be so old by now, thanks for reminding me!
Well since I was on here I've made some Xmas tags and wrapped all the rest of the pressies. Phew I also found a box with pressies in that I will never use and usually regift...I don't like to do this but the kids have bought me things over the years that I will never use and someone will love them. I also found a box full of toiletries I stash away and hair products that I have bought from my hairdressers and forgotten about...eek. There was also my Estee Lauder gift pack that my hubby bought me years ago and the lotions had leaked, so they are now in the bin. I have very nice smelly hands though LOL.
I shall see if our DILs would like some hair products that I can't believe the prices I paid for them. Needless to say those have been removed *wink*.
2 gift voucher envelopes to make and done. I'm even baking this year...whatever next LOL.
Ina, I look forward to the new thread for next year and appreciate everything that you do.
Hugs everyone.

Here's a card I made at my recent craft Xmas get together. I didn't get chance to send cards to everyone this year, but know that those who didn't receive a card are thought of kindly. I wish you and your family and friends a Merry Xmas and a very healthy and happy 2020. May this festive period be a happy and safe one for you all.

Last day of peace and quiet before the tiny hurricane arrives in the morning, going shopping and last minute cleaning, apparently at home they have some pressies under the tree and GS told his Mum they are all his!
Tis the season. Grumpy is home sick. Sweet pea is at work and thinks she is coming down with something. I have been home for the past few days wondering if I am sick or my body is purging the medicine I stopped.
Oops! I totally forgot it was Thursday - challenge day. Well, I guess our challenge this week is 'last minute'. Whatever you still need to do, go ahead and do it. If that means baking cookies, that will be fulfilling the challenge. Just tell us what you did. If it means making a bunch of tags, or a little gift box, or even shopping (that's what I did today), tell us about it and post a photo if you wish, but not necessary. Go forth, and get it done!

I did make a few last minute cards. Yes friends, you will still be getting a card from me, but not before Christmas.
I also walked through the woods today with my walking buddy, at -17C degrees, with gently falling snow. I feel so sorry for those people in Australia, Hawaii, Spain and other countries that don't get the pleasure of snow. It was so beautiful.
