Oh dear, sharon and Sis Vicki, so sorry to hear you are both injured, hope you are both resting and being looked after.

Ina hope you are feeling better too, my cold was just going but now I have a dry cough keeping me awake, the family left yesterday so at least I can chill out! Seems very quiet here without our GS but we had lots of fun.

Take care Jan and I hope that you get well soon too. Gosh there's a few of you ladies in the wars.

Having a nice chill day today and much needed rest. I'm even going to try and get into my craft room. Enjoy

Thanks Jayne, I’ve still got to go in the attic to put the box of toys and other stuff away but at least I managed to clean and do some washing, I’ve still got the bedding to do but the weather has been so hot it dries in no time.

I hope this find you all on the road to recovery. We had several members of our family under the weather, and because my daughter is staying with us with her newborn, just out of the NICU unit, we have to curtail any visitors with illnesses...thus we did not get to see my youngest son, wife, and granddaugter because they were all sick with heavy-duty colds and ear infections.

I threw my back out vacuuming on Christmas Eve...seem to have that problem quite often in the last year. I just couldn't get around at all, so didn't get to church services on Christmas Eve as is a family tradition and the girls took over getting our soup and garlic bread cooked. As long as I stayed in my chair and didn't try to get up and down or walk, I was okay. So I got to sit and cuddle with my 9 mos. old granddaughter and l month old. It was a joyous celebration even though we short a few. I am happy to say that with rest and anti-inflammatories I am much better...though I think I'll stay away from vacuuming a few more days!

So, I'm still playing challenge catch up...here is my S2S19Q, Metals - 5/2/19 card: Happy Christmas & To All A Goodnight! I used embossed gold metallic foil background paper for my "metal" in the form of a Christmas card!

Sharon, Vicki, Ina and anyone else under the weather - sure hope y'all feel better soon! Back pain is miserable! Winter dryness wrecks havoc on my sinuses, so I'm dealing with that right now. We're falling apart. Geez.

Oh Sharon! Bless you - both wrists? (((hugs))) Get well soon! We have a star studded scrapbook page to create!

Just popped in to say hi! It's been a while! Y'all take care and get well soon!

I need to take some time. Sweet pea has been helping decrease my crazy internet/cell phone/ TV bill. I have a ton of learning to do. New cell phone and provider. I will be streaming most of my shows now.. This old dog needs new tricks! Lol

Hi Melissa

Do you have back pain? How did you do that? Tell me about sinuses....mine are good now thank goodness. Antibiotics, a new steroid nasal spray and cooler weather helps. Yep we are all falling apart...it happens once you turn 50 :lolo::lolo:

Good to see you. Hugs

I’ve been wondering how Sharon is coping! She is always on the go with walking and crafting.

I’m still ill, yesterday I felt so bad again, we had a walk but when I got home I lay on the sofa as my head ached so much, I felt sick and had stomach ache, took pills before bedtime and fingers crossed I feel slightly better this morning! Our son rang from SF last night and we were already in bed, he was worried he had rung too late, ha,ha,

Ina hope you are feeling better now! Steve is coughing now! Don’t you just love GSs passing on their germs.

Had. The last episode was right after Thanksgiving, when I bent over fast to pick up the end of a Rubbermaid tub my husband was dragging across the floor! I'm not doing that again.

Sinuses. It's just the dry air from the heating of the buildings in the winter that makes the sinuses dry. Hard to stay on top of that.

I"m swift as a gazelle. An old one. With arthritis. Run over by a Land Rover. Eight days ago.

Some days, that's the truth.

For dry winter air.. I have multiple humidifiers I have a gel that I use in my nose at night. Gross but you have to do what you can do. Still overwhelmed with all the tech changes.

Big hugs all around

Lynn our son and DIL bought us both AirPods for Christmas and I managed to set them up on my own and get them to work with my iPad and new phone, I was so pleased with myself, ha,ha, sad but I usually have to get Steve to do it.
We had new iPhoneS but Steve couldn’t get it to work in the car, now we have all mod cons where you answer the phone on the car computer, went to the dealer and it took him about ten seconds, Steve spent an hour trying!

We’ve gone from a cassette player to computer that runs the whole car, doesn’t even have a key, that scares us as you have to remember to leave the key fob in the car, I forget and leave it in my bag, get out to open the gates and the car goes mad beeping, everything beeps, low fuel, low tyre pressures, lights come on automatic, well we have waited twenty years before getting a new car.

I just changed my soggy. My challenge for 2020 is to declutter and pass on things I no longer use. Sweet pea and grumpy are looking to buy a house next year. I will be moving in with them to help take care of the dog we will be getting! Lol.. Yes I will be grandma to a dog. More changes are coming.

Lynn, when you say soggy, are you talking about adult diapers?
Don't you just love typos?

Still at it playing challenge catch-up. This ones for the 11/7/19, S2S19RR challenge - "Sparkle, Shimmer, Shine." I made a glitter frost tree for my card's focal point. See it here: Season's Greetings in a Z-Fold Card!

I am happy to report I am much better. I hope and pray everyone else is recovering too. Jan are you still sick? How about everyone else? Jayne, are you close to the new year? Happy celebration to all.
We had a white Christmas, then lost all the snow with mild weather and rain, and today we are again getting fresh snow. It's actually a bit of a blizzard out there. I wanted to walk a bit to strengthen my legs, but the wind was just too strong.
It's time for me to set up our 2020 thread. It will look a bit different, with only one challenge per month, but still lots of chatter and encouragement.

Happy New Year ladies, we were in bed by 10pm too but up all night as Steve was being sick, not sure why as we both had the same thing to eat and he can’t even blame alcohol as he doesn’t drink, He’s asleep so I’m just chilling out, looks like the lamb we bought for dinner will be on hold if the cook is ill, just hope he feels better later.

Jayne I never take the decorations down until twelve night, Much I would love to put them away, ha,ha

Hope Steve is ok.

I usually wait until the 12th day. This is the first time I’ve taken them down early. It’s good to have the house back to normal lol.

Take care.

We stayed up until 1:30 a.m. and watched YouTube videos broadcast to our TV of all the midnight celebrations throughout the world, plus enjoyed a bit of champagne! We ended up watching several years of the London Eye fireworks...WOW! spectacular. Our Seattle Space Needle had no fireworks/ music display this year because of high winds...that was disappointing and a bit sad.

I like to leave up my Christmas decorations up until after New Year's Day...though sometimes I don't get it done until a week or so later. I'd never heard of 12 night in relation to leaving up decorations, but that makes sense...so when I've been late...I'm still right in there with traditions...unbeknownst to me! LOL

My back pain is still kicking in with much activity, like vacuuming...hope I'm over that hump soon, though I enjoy the excuse of not having to vacuum...lol! Hope you all had a lovely holiday and everyone, plus their families, get better and feel well soon. Ina...take care of your infection!

Does anyone have an easy one pot meal for pork and veg? Grumpy will be crazy busy with boxing day parcels. Sweet pea will be crazy busy with year end processing. I am trying to be helpful.

Well, I have more 2019 Christmas cards that I'm trying to get upload to SCS, so I will keep playing challenge catch-up with those I've done to fit S2S! This card will be for the "Boxes," 7/11/19 challenge where we were to make a box of some kind. You can use an SCS tutorial if you desire.

What lovely boxes you all made. I'm not a box fanatic at all, though I keep saying now that I have wee grandbabies, it would be fun to stuff with candy or other tiny gifts, plus gift certificates or $s, but I still haven't given it a go yet! So, I put a new twist on the requirements. I think I'm a bit far out to "meet" the challenge requirements, but I'm going to enter and try to slide by! I made my card using a Snowman built out of boxes and decorated in blue and pink wrappings!

Here is my card: Christmas Wrapped in Holiday Spirit!

We still have Christmas here in Spain still to come, still Christmas music in the supermarket, people madly buying food, always strange to me when our celebrations are over, yet another holiday!
I have to post a birthday card today, first of the year but luckily I am always prepared with this one for a friend.
