I guess I am just plain weird. My favourite beverage is water, with perhaps 1 or 2 cups of tea a day. I do nott like soft drinks, or ant sweet drinks for that matter. If I am going to indulge in sweets, I go straight for chocolate.
I'm with you Ina. I drink wine, green tea and 1 cup of coffee per day....2 occasionally. I hardly used to drink coffee. I don't like sweet drinks and soda water is about my limit. I used to drink them when younger. Tasted Coke once...yuk. I can't stand the stuff and have seen what it does to coins so goodness knows what it does to the body. The smell of it makes me want to chuck LOL

Faye, I forgot to say that we can't even take things inter-State...everything has to be thrown away or we are in serious trouble. That's why our very large island has stayed so clean and without pests. I think there was once a rabbit and toad pest but they got that under control inter-state. The biggest challenge our Customs have is stopping illegal drugs coming in from Asia and the US/Mexico....constant battle and so sad what it does to our young. Even some older people are getting hooked....I just cry when I watch programmes on tv about it so now don't watch. Is that a bad thing to keep the bad stuff away?
Happy Sunday...sleep well everyone

I've been watching Kristina to see what colors look good together. I love the oxides and really need to use them all.
This was a good place to answer, Faye. If I don't know the person who asks a question I usually send them a pm but if I know them, I answer in a thread, like you did.

I need guidance and usually anything looks better than my first choice...I'm a questioner and I question myself ALL THE TIME!
I usually prefer old videos from the "known" card makers as that is more my style since I am not a trendy person in any shape or form.
A link was posted to the oxide ink combinations and I checked it out. Glad I did. I made 5 cards that are in my gallery. None of them fit this week's challenge here.

Our bathroom in finished, I´m really pleased with it, I´ve just painted the ceiling and coving in there, and inside the wardrobe in our bedroom, in the top boxes. It´s made us have a sort out, found about twelve different caps that Steve seems to collect and three cowboy hats!
Got a few groceries and was commiserating with the cashier. Funniest thing that happened to him was an Aussie couple trying to pay with money from France. They were positive they had the right currency. Yup he put it down to jet lag!
Happy Tuesday....awesome cards Faye and love oxides. Makes me want to play with mine again and my alcohol inks.
It's been a busy few days but I will get back to the challenges when I get a min...I'm scrapping this week.
Lynn, some Aussies will try anything LOL.
Jan, glad that your bathroom is finished and you are happy with it.
Have fun everyone

When we used to drive to England up through Spain and then France we would have three wallets, one pesetas, one francs and English pounds to buy fuel and food, so much easier now Europe has the euro and shows just how expensive France is compared to Spain.
Jan, I have had 3 wallets for many years now. My everyday wallet is Canadian, of coirse. My second wallet has American $$ and my frequent flyer card. The third one has Euros in it. Whhen I go abroad, I just need to switch my necessary cards .......credit, debit cards, health card, etc.

Ina, it's so much easier than when we had one wallet and would carry other currencies in plastic folders and keep swapping over as we reached each country, we've become more organised as we've got older and obviously travelled more, the trouble is all these wallets have to be carried in my giant handbag along with everything else to take on board the plane or boat. Steve carries his iphone in his pocket!!
I only ever carry 2 wallets each time I travel. As soon as I get on the plane, or across the border, I switch out the cards and keep the Canadian wallet in my backpack, the other in my purse.

All of you are world travelers but me. I spent a week in Montreal with my sis and BIL in 2003 and a week in Mexico as part of a high school trip. Other than that, pretty much a home body.
Do all of you have oxide inks? When they first came out I watched a few videos and didn't think they were anything I would play with. I love alcohol inks and when I drag them out will make several backgrounds. I have several Distressed inks and haven't unwrapped half of them. I don't love them like I thought I would when they came out.
Angie I travel by car...if I can't get there by car I'm no longer going! It was fun to meet you in IA...
I have some distress inks but I like the oxides better...what I like the most is being able to spritz water on when I made a blend of colors and if I use silver water it looks like stars.
Not sure I need all that I have and I thought when I bought them in the beginning 2 batches that they would coordinate together but they didn't...that seemed odd to me until I heard Tim say that he chose the colors at random of which ones to process first...
Didn't like that but realized I'm not as stupid as I think because they weren't sold as a group to be a group! Now I look on Pinterest for color combinations and Kristina Werner has a couple videos on blending colors.
Its a fun way to make one-of-a-kind backgrounds!
Alcohol inks scare me.

I only have one oxide ink and I’ve only used it once, I think I most likely need more to make them work. I do like distress inks but for stamping I have bought a few Altenew stamp pads, they work well but then I’m not a stamper, just a starter really, I’m trying to do less is more but that’s quite hard for me, ha,ha, I’ve thrown many things away when I’ve gone one step too far!
I've got at least 20 oxides. I love them and should play with them more because they are really cool. They blend well and give good backgrounds when I Spritz them with water.

It's Wednesday here...I'm up even if still in my nightie LOL
When we travel I just now take one wallet with the currency that we need and my credit card. Hubby just takes his credit card as we load that up and use ATMs whilst overseas. It seems to work well.
I also take any currency we have left from previous trips...this caught me out when in the UK last year as I went to pay for something and they had changed their 5 and 10 pound notes sterling. Fortunately my sister took the old ones from me, gave me new ones and she simply took the old ones into her bank. A sister in another country sometimes comes in handy  I have a large bag where I keep all the currency we come back with from trips....it's getting heavier and everything is mixed up and some I have no idea what country they belong to. I think I need to donate the coins on the plane next time ;)
I have distress inks and oxides. I prefer the oxides as I also like to spray water on. I find I don't use the distress inks much other than for basic stamping now. I also love my alcohol inks....I find them easy to use, even if they are lethal and love the BGs you can create with them. There's some amazing Youtube videos on using these.
Today I am scrapping....I have to meet the monthly challenge and before February disappears.
Sleep well....I can feel a nannie nap coming on...I've been up too early

Just checking in. Grumpy is out on the injured list again. He twisted his knee on the job and is off to the doc to get it checked out.
I used to have 2 wallets but then I used to do cross border often. Now ... I stay within an hour from home so I gave the currency to my son for a trip.
Last week Sharonville had us make cards (haven't done mine yet) about the sea. This week, we will go into outer space. Lots of options here. Beautiful night skies, stars, space travel, etc. Use your imagination. My sample card has already been sent to my 6 year old grandson and he loved it.

I have achieved and it feels so good! Got the knife sharpener that has been on my list for months! Got some food for the freezer! Booked Physio for next week. My reschedule mammogram is tomorrow! I have not achieved this much in months!
We were going out for lunch today but Steve’s calf muscle is still giving him gip so we did our shopping and had breakfast at the Marina and drove home, I’ve been in my craft room since then, I made a Christmas card, it just came to me when I saw a topper and papers I got free, sometimes it’s like that I think, yesterday I just mooched around and didn’t really do anything worthwhile, craft wise that is, helped Steve fit a new toilet seat as the old one sheared off!! I was frightened of falling on the floor in the night LOL, I put some liner in the bathroom drawers so I did get quite a bit done around the house.
Just had my mammogram. First one since the surgery and there are positions I just can't get into any more. I think I will need to speak to my doc to see if there is a method other than the machine.
Way to go Lynn...you are sounding much happier and get things done...good to hear.
Ina, another great challenge. I am a little behind with cards at present as I wanted to scrap but the past couple of days have been frustrating and busy so I haven't even managed to do that. Hopefully I will find a little time today. I have the challenges on my list and will get to them when I can.
Happy Saturday everyone...it's a long weekend here but every day is a weekend to us LOL.
Take care and hugs from me

The small flurry that the weatherman predicted, has turned into quite a snowfall. It'seems so pretty, and there is no wind, but I am glad I did not drive north to see my grandkids skate. As a result, to make me feel better, my DD got me a ticket to an Ontario Hockey League game at the Scotia Bank arena, where the Toronto Maple Leafs NHL team plays. I have never been there and NHL games run about $120 for the cheapest tickets. Of course OHL tickets are less. My grandson will be skating out the flag at the beginning of the game. He's not quite 7 years old.

Ina, I love the card you did for my challenge! In fact everyone’s cards have been awesome!
I am so glad you get to go see your little one skate out with flag! How special is that?
Off to get some scrapping done. I am involved with March Madness Challenges and on Facebook, CalvinBall 2019! Never done that before. It is a challenge for a page everyday of March. So far, I have only done the first one. LOL
Lynn, I am so glad you are feeling better. Nice to see you posting again!
Jayne, & Ina, if I was as busy as you two are, I woudl never get any crafting done!
With our kids & grandkids out of town, I have lots of time and still don’t get all the crafting done that I would like to do.
