OK I'm still waiting to hear from my upline to see if she wants to come, and I have to double check with hubby ... I know this is sunch a last minute tag on, but this looks like sooooooooo much fun. What hotel are most of you staying at? That way I can book one where everyone else is!

I ordered my ink pad storage directly from Best... but R & R had them on their website too... and she will bring it for you if she does not have it. It is great... I love it... It can hang on the wall, stand on the desk or be mounted on a turntable and turns.... it is all portable and has covers to hold the ink pads in.
Christine
Do you have a picture of this thing? Damn I just ordered the spinning stack from SU. I had a shortfall to cover to get off of pending status?! Perhaps I can send it back ....

Do you have the link for Best...? I'd like to see what it looks like - I almost ordered the SU one - but haven't yet.
So how many sets have you girls lost from the retired list? I'm up to 65 including a couple of backgrounds and several wheels! I'm so choked about Petal Prints 'cos it's my favourite set ever but the rest I can live with. At least it makes more room for goodies from the new bi-annual catties! Hope they come up with some good ones that I like.

OK I've totally dominated this thread in the last 24 hours! Sorry! I'm just so excited to participate! Thus far I am just a hobby demo so convention etc isn't in the forseeable future for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE SCS'ers though so this is even better than convention and so close as well (We live in Calgary!)
I tracked down my Upline (she is away from civilization until the 7th.) I managed to get through on her cell. Anyway if you'll still have us we'd LOVE to come!!!! I think her SCS name is dianaq not 100% sure as I don't usually *talk* to her through SCS I just e-mail or phone her directly.
Do you know which hotels most people are staying at? We were thinking of driving up early Saturday morning so that we'd just have a one night hotel bill, but we'd like to stay where the party will be LOL!
Also was tracking NaNel's little contest about the mug and thought it would be fun to have a t-shirt or mug or something available for purchase with EDMONTON STAMPING EXTRAVAGANZA on it to commemorate the weekend. You could take a quick poll and see how many people would be into purchasing one. Just a thought. Sorry Hijacking again ... really I don't mean too! :-D
Also I have a question about the shoe box thing. How are people going to take the kits back to their spot to make if we each have the stamps with us? Or will there be tables set up and we just use the honor stytem and leave the box/supplies on the table while we wander around and do different projects? Sorry still a little fuzzy on the logisitics of this one.

there are a few attachments that would help you on the questions...
first is the checklist, a little guideline on the days to come
second is the shoebox info check that out
third is the survey, if you two can fill it out and return back to me
and finally a handout of the general swaps and the guidelines.. check out post 1, and 7
on post 9, I listed some hotel info. Most of us are from edmonton, but the ones who aren't havent figured where to stay yet,
but for the bang for the buck, I checked that coast plaza hotel is the cheapest (as of the date i checked, it might have changed now)
for the shoebox swaps, it groups of 10 and probably an honor system. the stamper can stamp the necessary images, and stuff, and then assemble them at their desk.. OR they can save it up and do it at another time.. really flexible..
let me know if you would like to participate in any of the swaps

Yeah I checked out your attachments already. I was just still a little unclear about the stamping part. I think I'm better now LOL! I'll fill out the survey and e-mail it to you. and I'll keep watching to see where the other ladies are staying. How many are coming from out of town? I have to take a closer look at the swaps and let you know what I'll have time to complete before the 26th. What is the deadline for letting you know about the swaps? I'm thinking of Diana (like I said ... she's awy from civilization until the 7th)
Excited to be coming!

Hi Ladies,
Finally got around to becoming an official member of the SCS community!
It was so very nice to meet all of you who came out for coffee Saturday afternoon! It really is quite cool to put a face to the names and I am so looking forward to "Stampapolooza" Day.
mmm... did I hear Kyla mention Greek food??
Have a great day!

No the 10th is fine. She gets home on the 7th so she can make up her mind in 3 days. We all need time to make our stuff! Thanks for the offer though. You are so accommodating!

NaNel: They make yellow, eggplant, lavender, pink, blue, green and black. But I already said that I tried for green and they were out so you can guess one of the other colours--it doesn't matter if someone else has guessed it. There's a wee gift for everyone with the right colour
Anyone else going to Extravaganza--take a guess
:p Velvet: "Eggplant" is such a funny name that I have to go with that one!
Two actually - both married. but neither are like mine! trust me!!! lol Most greek men that I know of are nothing like Demetre!!!!! He is much nicer! lol
Yaaa Velvet - ya made it! You are going to be addicted as I am!!!
Peggy - Hubby sayes by all means use "Stampapalousa" for next year and YES I WILL BE THERE! I will get him to think of another name if it is copyrighted. He is so good at things like that!!
Yes ladies - I will try my best to get some Greek baking for THE DAY! I might have to even make it myself one weekend (with help of course - hey I'm not that good of a greek wife yet! Only been just over a year and all!) geesh

Dinner on Sat May 26th, 2007 will be at Brewsters at Oliver Square
Right, ladies-- this has been a little bit of a heartbreak for us as we didn't anticipate how hard it would be to make reservations for a group as large as us. After mulling over several restaurants and finding out it would cost too much for a set dinner (Sorrentino's, Syrtakis), or that they could not accomodate groups as big as ours (Sicilian Pasta Kitchen), or that they don't take reservations (Olive Garden), and rather strong reactions against the Old Spagetti Factory, we checked out Brewsters. I know, it's a chain. I wanted it to be something local but this was not to be.
So- I did manage to make reservations for 30 people there. I looked at their menu and was pretty surprised- they have a good assortment of dishes, all in the range of prices most of you said you'd be willing to spend. It ought to work for most people. And they have a pretty good assortment of beers on tap and I am sure they will also make more feminine drinks too.
So here are the details:
Brewsters at Oliver Square
11620 104th Avenue
Edmonton, Alberta
T5K 2T7
Phone: (780) 482-4677
I told them we would be there at 6pm.
If you think you'd like to join us for dinner, please pm me. I still need final numbers for them.
