judy, for the card fronts on the general swaps it's all +2.
right now it sits at 20 +2...
but it will not be confirmed until the 10th... as people may still want to join..
sorry I can't get more detailed
Peggy, another question on the card fronts, should they be 5 1/4" x 4" or
5 1/2 x 4 1/2
I would like to know if there is a preference asap.
Thanks, Judy
Thanks, I guess I really missed out by not changing my plans and staying in Edmonton and coming for coffee. Thanks for the info though...much appreciated.
Judy
So Now I'm off to work up some more magic. I will check back later to see what more interesting tips I can pick up. I am almost ready for our Fantastic Extravaganza.....Just can't seem to wait.
it doesnt matter.. its just easier for cutting if you do 5.5 x4.25
some people are doing 4.25 x4.25
so yes, regina is right.. anything goes

Seeing as I barely have any stamps right now there are way too many to choose from for images! I will try to get a list together.
A couple for sure is Words by Wilson
and unfrogettable. Trust me, more to come!!
Reimomof2 - looks like I will be in Calgary on teh 12th of May. Hubby wants to go to some competition/show for his hobby (building scale models). Anyway - where is a good place for me to spend his money on stamps while he is at his show thingy?? lol ;)
Okay here goes my list. Does anyone have ageless adornment, little trucks, on the farm, any hockey stamp images. I cannot seem to find any at all. I think that's all for now.

There used to be this *awesome* stamp store in Calgary called Paper Arts (yes, I am dating myself here since they closed down some five years ago)
I don't know if there is anything that is just as great to fill in the void. There is, however, a little place called Paper Pastimes in the south. I think its still open and it still sells stamps although I havn't been there in ages. Google it, and you'll find it. It used to be in the basement of a little strip mall.
Ladies that live in Calgary- Gayle? AnneMarie? Is there anything substantial?
I suppose there's Scrapbookers Paradise in the south (off McLeod Tr) and in the North (Crowfoot Terrace) but I cannot vouch for them as I havn't been there in ages and I don't know if they have tons of stamps- the SP in Red Deer has a decent number of stamps.
Another place I used to visit was Scrapbook Sally on the NW (on Northmount Drive) but they don't really have stamps but I used to like their paper collection.
Thanks Diane! Ya I'm gonna be very bored while hubby is doing his thing but on the bright side - I get HIS credit card! I will for sure go to Scrapbookers Paradise! I've heard great things about them!
Lisa, I have some CTMH hockey stamps that I used on one of my boxes, I could bring them. If you want to look in my gallery at the hockey box to see if that is what you want?
Skilo
in case I forget to tell you today. My sil and bro-il have 2 dollar stores in Calgary
called
'Your Dollar Store Plus More"
I'll find out the locations for you.
they have the same last name as me...
my nieces scrapbook so my sil brings in loads of cute stuff!
12x12 vellum with sentiments on it--by a good scrap co. name; I just forget who...
and I found so many other inspirational knicknacks to use too.
cusoon!

I havn't lived in Calgary long but I know the Scrapbookers does sell some cool stamps. Paper pastimes has quite a few actually and they are in a main store in the strip mall on the corner of heritage and elbow drive sw (8419 Elbow Drive SW). there is a store called moments in the SW as well and its located at 380 Canyon Meadows Drive SE and I have only been there once but like it quite a bit and they sell scented embossing powders...lol. Then there is Scrapbookers bliss and they are located in the SW as well. They are a very small store but the girls there are great and they too sell some stamp stuff they are located at Lincoln Park Centre #22 14 Richard Way SW. If you google map all the addresses it will show you exactly how to get to all of them. HTH

Thanks, Carrie for pointing out more stampy places.
I went to Paper Pastimes' website (www.paperpastimes.com) and they seem to have lots more of card oriented stuff so Kyla, if your goal is to get into more stamps and other stamp accessories, I'd go to Paper Pastimes. Scrapbookers Paradise has lots and lots of different papers for scrapbooking and some stamps too but if its stamps you're after, do PP. Or, do both.
PP has Magenta stamps (one of my favourite stamp companies, and Canadian to boot), and A Muse and... they even have the scor-it board! And ciyogami paper, and... and.. now I feel as if I need to jump in my car and head down to Calgary to check out PP.
Have fun, Kyla and I do hope you get to meet up with the Calgary girls.

Looks like lot's O people have given you idea's. I would add to the list Scrapbookers Paradise in Crowfoot Crossing. I'll get a better list together for you later.

I have Litle Trucks and some hockey images but they need to be mounted. Does anyone know where in calgary (or edmonton for that matter) I can get the mounting foam?

Just read thru a few more posts and getting up to date! Please don't 'flame' me anyone who suggested selling their 'retired' stuff and please don't take this the wrong way, personally I think Peggy and Diane have more than enough to organise without this one more thing. Also with all that's on the agenda already and lots of us getting to meet for the first time, the idea of trying to fit in selling stuff as well could be just tooooooo overwhelming, tempting as it is. I think we're far better meeting and swapping and stamping and maybe another getting together could deal with 'sale and exchange'! JMHO!
Annemarie you can get the mounting foam for sure at scrapbookers paradise in the south. I just bought a sheet last week. Paper pastimes also sells it sometimes but you should phone them before going as they don't always have it in stock. HTH

Thanks AnneMarie. It would be awesome if you brought it along.
I would love to sell and buy stuff, but agree with you Ruth that Peg and Diane have enough to organize. What if you wanted to sell stuff you had your things on your own table and that way, you can take the money yourself right away or wheel and deal. Just my suggestion.
