Basicly I agree with what everyone already said. It was so great to meet everyone.Yes, I was kind of nervous walking in but that feeling left in minutes. Now I just want the event to get here faster.
For anyone else who is coming that is new/beginner to stamping, don't worry, after yesterday I know that it is going to be a great time. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone else now.
P.S.
A GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PEGGY.
I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN YESTERDAY, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT YOUR COFFEE. YES, A CHEAP GIFT BUT, I DON'T BUY STRANGERS A BIG GIFT. NOW YOU'RE NOT A STRANGER ANYMORE SO NEXT YEAR MIGHT BE BIGGER.
thanks carrie.. don't worry about it.. not many people know it was my bday!

Even though we are going out for supper feel free to bring snacks....cheesecake, chocolate etc
I'm sorry that I missed your coffee break yesterday, but I had a long drive ahead of me. I was in Fawcett and Edmonton last week, but had to come back home on Saturday, and therefore wasn't able to attend your get together. I was thinking of taking my name off of some of the sites, but then I decided that maybe I will just take the bull by the horns, and persevere as well as I am able. The creative juices don't seem to be flowing very rapidly. Also a note to Regina, sorry that I didn't call you, the time just seemed to be to short.....but we will meet in Edmonton.
Also Peggy, are u planning on doing Name tags up or are we each to supply our own, to make it easier for everyone to get to know each other?
NO! you can't take your name out! in time you will get it going.. you have 3 weeks babes!
it will all work out!
as for name tags, Diane and I will have something for you guys!

actually, we aren't allowed to have outside food to the room, (because they want to make money from catering...) but im sure little snacks wont be too bad...like crackers and coffee, and some cookies.. AND chocolate..., we'll just have to be discrete!
but we are getting together on friday for coffee as well, so we can all hide in one of the hotel rooms, and pig out... what do you guys think?

First of all Happy, Happy Birthday(a bit late in the day I know!) to you, dear smallpigpig!
I'm back! I'm tired but Joanne(jostamps) and I (and the rest of our upline/downline group)had a great time at Regionals in Vancouver! My head is spinning with all the stuff we saw and did and how early we had to be there! Would you believe it was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day outside and we were indoors! Typical!
Gotta go, need a rest!
BTW, Joanne is such a lovely girl and I really enjoyed her company and if all of the rest of you are as nice as her, Edmonton is going to be a great place to meet and stamp!
OH RUTH!
thats the best smilie from you yet!
heheh
i love it!

Judy
Total hijack here - Judy, what were you doing in Fawcett, and who do you know there? I grew up there and my parents and brother still live there! Nobody goes to Fawcett! ;)

We have just bought property there, that is where we plan to retire, in three years or so. So we have time to get it ready for living in. We have bought the place from Archie Burke. We are going to build a garage this spring/summer, and do some reno's in the trlr. As to who we know in Fawcett, not to many at this point....but am slowly meeting people. So now we will be going to Fawcett, and also hopefully my DH's family will make the trip now that we are closer to Edm.
Hmmmm maybe I can con my MIL to make some greek baking for us! Shouldn't be too hard! If I could write Greek I would let you know what it is that I will be shooting for but alas, I can barely speak it! lol

OOOOOH Baklava...
Happy belated birthday Peggy...glad you had a good one.
I actually have today off I just finished my 7 day stretch of days and evenings...then I start nights tomorrow. I wonder how many years of my life full time shift work is taking away....

She doesn't make Baclava anymore - too expensive to make I guess. I was thinking of maybe something called Kouthembreatha (sp?????) (english - twisty cookies) really awesome for dipping in coffee (and I'm not a dipper!!!) She does make something that is close to Baclava so I will check with her for that for sure. Sorry - can't member what it is called. :(
Hey will the treats even make it there seeing as we are driving together?? lol
It is called Kandaifi. Man just talking about it is making me hungry. heehee
No worries - I will try to get some for everyone else as well as our drive there! lol

Shift work takes 10 years off your life - or so that's what the article I read said - and that was a human resources pamphlet at work about taking care of yourself.
