I figured that it might be easier than to upload maps and such on various posts as it might be confusing..
as well...a friendly reminder that you should be ordering your supplies needed for the event - paper, stamps, ink, embellishments, 3d items -
for the swaps as well as for your own personal stamping projects...

Ink pad storage thingy - alas was not me, it was toobusystamping. I agree it is way cool. She can unfold it and hang it on a wall, then take it down, fold it up and drag it with her. I believe she got it at R&R Scrapbooking, but she can confirm.
Peggy I wish I was your chubby instead of my VERY fluffy. That's who you can look for when I come in. See ya tomorrow. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

-so you gals get 2 'charmings' for the price of one!
My cousin couldn't keep him any longer and dh got a p-t gig cookin' while he looks for a new *real* job
(he was downsized on thursday so we'll be livin' on the street soon, in a Stampin' Up! box condo with rubber shingles *laughin'out loud so I don't panic*)
Stampaganza swap news: I'll take photos of what I was workin' on so that you can have spoilers if you want them.
I got so much done last night -stampin is WAY better than therapy and you have something to show for it at the end!

Charming, So sorry to hear about your husband's job downsize. That happened to both my now ex-husband and I a few years ago. It isn't a good feeling. Luckilyit forced us to try new professions and now neither of us would go back.As the saying goes (in our Case) 2 doors close and 2 more open. I'm glad you still a sense of humor during this stressful time.
Hey ladies:
It was good to put a face to the names we keep seeing here on SCS-for those of you who came out to coffee at Starbucks-I hope we answered most of your questions. If not- keep posting and Pegs and I will try our best to answer them. I do think this little event of ours is going to be fun- it'll be lots of chatting, and sharing ideas- and maybe even some actual cardmaking, stamping and scrapping
I have spent approx. $140 on SU this month...I ordered papers (stocking up on the cool caribbean)...a stamp set...earth elements markers, celery ribbon, etc. And I ordered a saddle stich book kit cause it looks so cute and it will give me something to work on that day...if I actually do anything besides visit and shop and eat
Wish I could have been there today...alas I am at work (it actually slowed for a moment though there is a pee waiting for me to read)...I can't wait to meet you all though!

friendly reminder that we are meeting at 3 ish at starbucks on jasper and 109 tomorrow!
see you allthere!
i'll be the chubby asian looking around for people!
I need to read the whole thread more often! That sounds like it would have been fun ... however I was at the University watching dd dance!
Put me down as confirmed ... and I'll get the survey and $$ in the mail Monday. After spending the last three weekends at dance competitions, I want to do something for me!
I *almost* asked where the heck you were, basketballmom/gail!
I was hoping to bump into you!
we were all talking at once though, and with the urge to share, the questions whizzing around, The one fleeting little thought didn't have much of a chance, I'm afraid!
I'm positive you enjoyed the dance recital though,
I'm glad you are coming,
charming

I enjoyed meeting everyone at the coffee shop.
I had to tear myself away, too!
I'm inspired to decide on some new innovative designs to finish several more swap spots, now that I know what everyone is up for
how about "hot foam"? sound interesting?
thanks for the info, peggy & the affirmations on my propsed swaps...
(...see 'k', everyone gets nervous about their creations sometimes!)
Everyone, seriously, I luv each of you already!
so call and come over, the coffee is always on!
charming

Christine?????
I ordered my ink pad storage directly from Best... but R & R had them on their website too... and she will bring it for you if she does not have it. It is great... I love it... It can hang on the wall, stand on the desk or be mounted on a turntable and turns.... it is all portable and has covers to hold the ink pads in.

Hi y'all! I had such a geat time meeting those who were able to come for coffee! Everyone was so friendly and great! I really think I have found some really awesome stampin buddies for here! Yippeee!!

Peggy - we are going to miss your sexy voice! lol
Diane - You have to be the sweetest person alive. Thanks so much for upping my spirits about certain things! U rock!
Carrie - I can't wait to see what you come up with for ALL those shoeboxes that ya signed upfor! Better get cracking!
Regina - Saturday is ON! Yippee!
Velvet - Are ya coming too?? I think ya should if you can!! Even to continue chatting! I have a feeling we will be doing more chatting than stamping for sure
In the end - all you ladies rock! Thanks so much for coming or coffee and getting the nervousness out inthe open. It will definately make the event weekend go smooth for me anyway. Much easier to meet people in smaller groups for me than 40 some people at once!!
Thanks again!
(think of the commercial where the kids are going to Disney the next day and can't sleep - that's me!).... I'm too excited!!!
oh - update - supper went great with all 3 girls last nite - strange, but there wasn't any 2 against 1. Hmmm - maybe they are growing up finally! lol They are also very excited about making a coster book with me when they get home from Disney - kinda cool in my books! no pun intended!!
ok - off to stamp!
I had a great time yesterday, too bad I had to cut it short, what did I miss? It was nice to meet you Kyla, Regina and Velvet. I really would have enjoyed staying a little longer, but if you are getting together again, let me know.
I have one shoebox finished so you might as well put me down for the atc swap too. Just want to make sure I am doing the right thing tho; that one is just a straight out swap, so they should be finished, not like the shoebox ones right? And are they card atc (so they open) or just fronts?
are you sure you are off to stamping, and not just organizing your stamps? hahahha
Ohhh im glad the three kills didnt end up killing each other.. that gotta be real a kodak moment
yes.. kids do finally grow up.. i know i am starting to.. but Im 26.... oh wait.. im 27 now... crap... i forgot its my bday today hahahah

Sorry, I'm late in replying to this but last night was busy.
Basicly I agree with what everyone already said. It was so great to meet everyone.Yes, I was kind of nervous walking in but that feeling left in minutes. Now I just want the event to get here faster.
For anyone else who is coming that is new/beginner to stamping, don't worry, after yesterday I know that it is going to be a great time. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone else now.
P.S.
A GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PEGGY.
I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN YESTERDAY, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT YOUR COFFEE. YES, A CHEAP GIFT BUT, I DON'T BUY STRANGERS A BIG GIFT. NOW YOU'RE NOT A STRANGER ANYMORE SO NEXT YEAR MIGHT BE BIGGER.
Awww Peggy, I feel like a real idiot that I didn't know it was your birthday. Well have a good one, and check your email, I will send you a cute cartoon.!!!!
Happy Birthday little pigpig!!
Hmm - It is all coming together now.... dinner with your sister the other night! Hmmmm - you are sneaky! Have a good one!
and yes I actually stamped! maybe a little organizing too, but started my card front swap today! Yippee!
I so agree with Regina about any newbies hesitating to join in! Please do - you will feel right at home with these ladies! I already do and have also just invited myself to thier places to stamp to which they said no prob! heehee That is how friendly everyone is! Which is completely and totally awesome!
