Time to Spread Some Love and Joy to the talented crafters here at Splitcoaststampers!!! This week we are sharing our lists of the Best of 2017, our very favorites creations from 2017!
Happy New Year, wishing you all health, love, joy and lots of time to craft! Thanks to all of you for the inspiration you provide with your creations. This thread couldn't thrive without all the caring Splitcoasties who take the time to recognize fellow crafters and share their favorites. You are what keep this thread going and help keep SCS the best caring, supportive crafting community around. If you are new to the Favorites thread, the second post will have instructions.
The Fabulous Favorites team members, Elaine (ChaosMom), Carlene (Chatterbox-1), Sabrina (Cook22), Janine (Jay_Bee), Stacy (JBgreendawn), Kia (kiagc), Nancy (nwillaims6), Angie (ohmypaper!), Robin (stamperrobin), Susie (susie australia), Brenda (tessaduck), and me Carla (Covington Crafter) are on duty, generously sharing their time notifying and pinning from your lists. Cards listed in FAVORITES ~ Best of 2017 will also be pinned to the Splitcoaststampers Favorites - Best of 2017 Pinterest Board.
*if you have a creation from this last week you wish to share that is not on your "WOW-this project knocked my socks off" list, hang on to it. Next week's thread will be a regular "favorites" thread that will cover the two weeks, December 31 through January 13.
Although it's the New Year, it still feels like Christmas and I feel like Santa Claus. I've checked my list (at least a dozen times) and found everyone on Splitcoaststampers is on the Nice and Talented list!!! That made narrowing my list down to my very favorites so difficult. Here it is, I know I've missed many, many wonderful cards. Can't wait to see your lists.
Please help the Favorites Team by making sure:
1. That your links work correctly.
2. The card makers SCS name is shown, it really helps if their name is in color.
3. Lastly, it really, really, helps if you have a blank line between each entry.
Thank you in advance for helping us make sure that no one is missed!
Each week we have newcomers to the Favorites threads. EVERYONE is invited to join in. The more participation we have, the more fun and interesting this thread will be.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in thispost.
Want to post a Thank You to the SCS member who nominated your card? Please do not use the Quote button at the bottom of the thread!! Instead, scroll down and type your response in the Quick Reply box. (Using the Quote button to reply causes the original messages to be repeated over and over. That can confuse the team, and we may notify people twice.)
Pay It Forward(optional, but nice). When you say "thank you," you are encouraged to Pay It Forward by linking at least one of your own Favorites from last week. You may link as many of your Favorites you wish. Linking your Favorites? Follow these steps: 1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab.
2. Open a second browser tab (or a separate window). Go to your Gallery and click on "My Favorites" on the left sidebar.
3. Click on a card you have saved in your Favorites. At the top, highlight the web address (it starts with www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo ..... and so on). Copy the web address.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Scroll down to the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the Favorites thread, and paste your link in the message box. On your keyboard, hit Enter twice to add a blank line after each card linked.
5. Repeat steps #3 and #4 as many times as needed to enter all your Favorites links. 6. When you have finished entering your links, click the Go Advanced button. Proofread all your entries in the Preview window that opens. Make sure your card links all have a blank line between each entry and that the card links work as a link back to each card.
7. Any corrections needed are done in the Reply to Threadmessage box below the Preview area in this new window.
8. If you had to make any corrections, click the Preview Post button again and re-proof. Steps#6, #7, and #8 can be repeated as many times as needed.
9. When finalized, click the Submit Reply button.
We are in for an amazing and inspirational year if the 2017 gallery is anything to go by. My list is a snapshot of some of the wonderful cards I saw last year. We would be here until Easter if I listed them all.
Thank you sincerely, Carla, for selecting this card - am totally humbled

Carla, It's so fun that you mentioned it feels like Christmas because that's exactly what I thought this evening as I waited for our thread to go live! The anticipation was building and I couldn't wait to share which cards knocked my socks off this year!!!
I totally missed the CAS BEST OF 2017, last week so I have combined both lists together. The designers in the Splitcoaststampers community knock my socks off every week! Thanks for sharing your beautiful artwork and your generous comments each week!
My Favorite time of the year! Thanks to ALL who share their talents everyday! To ALL who share their FAVS every week - and a special thanks to the Notifiers who share the good news! Narrowing down a list of special cards covering the whole year is a hard task - but I've done my best - Congrats! to all!
(Sorry! - my links didn't convert but they should work)
It's that exciting time of year at SCS...it does still seem like Christmas! I remember my first "BEST" card...I was just thrilled to bits! There are so many, many cards that deserve to be in the BEST's lists, and it was so, so difficult, but I finally managed to get it down to a somewhat reasonable number. My joy will be seeing those I missed added by someone else! So here we go! Thank you to our team leader, Carla (Covington Crafter) for all of her hard work since taking over the FAVs mid-year. She has put in so much love and attention to detail, it makes it easy for us to be member's of her team! Also, thanks to her for starting this special thread this week!
A very sincere thank you to Kia (Kiagc) and Stacy (JBgreendawn) for listing my cards, You've Got Mail, and Welcome Home. I'm honored and humbled to be listed in the Best of 2017
Wow, Angie - I’m so honored to be included on your Best of 2017 list. You’ve made my evening. Thanks, too, to Susie for stopping by to let me know the happy news.
Wow! Thank you Susie for favoring my card for the year! I once tried this. I got lost in the hundreds I favored and just could not sort nor choose . I thank you for this honor, not only now but from the beginning of time. You have always been supportive of all of us. Thanks too for the notification and donating your time to do this.
Thank you so much, Kia, for including my card on your Best of 2017 list! I'm very honored! Thank you, CaosMom, for delivering the happy news! Hideko :-)
Wow! Thank you so very much, Carlene for including my Mother's Day card in the Best of 2017 Favorites! I truly appreciate it. And, thank you Robin for delivering the happy mail notification.
Wow this was very difficult to make a choice I had so many!! and the problem is I love them all!! I finally made my list and here it is, but be sure even if you aren't on it, I love all the cards I see, everybody puts a part of his soul in it and makes a card with love and that's the most important!!
I tried to choose cards with a double wow ignoring who made them but then I had to prune. Sorry if your card didn't make the cut but I could have kept my fellow notifiers busy for hours with my original list.
Messed up!!!

Wow Sistahs !!! Especially Sis Carlene for selecting me to have a huge honor . This is so beyond words to be named along side so many best there are . I’m so humbled and greatly appreciate this selection for it is not just a week fav but in the year of 2017. WOW!! MAHALO MUCH Sis Carlene. Love ya!!! And Much Mahalo to Ms Susie for the Happy Mail.
Heartfelt thanks, Angie, Susie, Carlene, Elaine(x2), Anita, and Janine(x2), for including cards of mine on this special year-ending list. I am honored and appreciative. Thank YOU, Susie, for sending the notifications and taking time to pin them to the specially created Pinterest board(a lot of work for you this week). Happy, Healthy New Year to all. Hugs, Sallie
What a fabulous start to the day and to 2018. Its always a joy to share creations on Splitcoaststampers and to see the glorious inspiration provided here! Thank you so much to Carla, Susie and Angie for including my cards and drawings and to Janine for letting me know. Happy New Year to everyone at Splitcoaststampers!
This is my second attempt at doing this. Somehow I strayed into my 2016 favourites and included some of those beauties - enjoyed them so much!
I have hopefully now only got 2017 cards and I am afraid still can't include all those I love. I hope all the 2016 ones are gone but apologies if I have missed any.
Here is part of my list for 2017. I am doing it in three lists just in case something happens because I would sure hate to have to do it again!
I think I found more lovely cards this year than any year in the past. I just love the direction of art this year. So many talented people in this place.
Thanks to all the notifiers and all the sweet women who have taken time to put lists together and share the love!
BigganIC581 Live your life by Biggan - at Splitcoaststampers I can't decide if I like the image or the sentiment more - such a peaceful card and the message is memorable for sure!!! May we all forget our age (in a good way of course).
Francie G.CT0117 Guilty Pleasures by Francie G. - at Splitcoaststampers Francie makes so many lovely flower and deer cards, but this one was a bit different from the others and just made me feel all peaceful inside - the beach does that me too. I could stare at this card for hours!
Heather T. Masked Forest by Heather T - at Splitcoaststampers This and so many of Heather's other cards say to me that we don't need more stamps or supplies - we need more imagination to use what we have - this is so simple and so beautiful!
k dunbrookCAS412, Winter Wonders by k dunbrook - at Splitcoaststampers This is another one of those cards that tells us we just need to look at our supplies in a different way. I love the way she did the popped up strip and her colors are sooooo pretty!!!
margscardscrazyCT0317 Secrets by Margscardcrazy - at Splitcoaststampers I have tried and tried to make something like this, but it never comes out. Marge just did such a lovely job on this card and the colors and patterns call me
Susie Australia WT620 No worries mate by susie australia - at Splitcoaststampers Is it possible to just pick a few Susie cards for a Best of list? Too hard for me. I love this one because this is exactly how I picture Susie's husband and because I wish that if I laid outside like this that there were koala bears instead of mosquitoes the size of koala bears!
Tonda BaldwinGone Fishing 2017 by Tonda Baldwin - at Splitcoaststampers Who doesn't wish they had all Tonda's dies? After seeing this box, I decided to check out the dies she used so I could maybe make this for my hubby (who is a giant fishing fan). Wow - I have no idea how to even find these dies! Had to end up buying hubby a vintage fishing box instead but maybe one day I can get up to Tonda's and she can help me make one!
Many hugz - look for posts 2 and 3 soon. I nee more coffee!

Sunday chores done, dinner in the oven, Christmas tree taken to the recycling point and here I am.
This is one of those almost impossible tasks! I started out about three months ago trying to choose approximately two cards a month (there are no rules about how any of us choose our favourites of the year, it's simply a case of what works best for any of us, and this is usually my starting point). And then I try to only pick one card per person even if they feature in my favourites every month - but sometimes I just had to pick more than one! Anyway, after much angst here's my final cut. Yesterday I decided to go back in and add a few more since we have such a super notifying team this year .
Went through my favorites list for 2017....we sure have talented stampers in this community. Enjoyed looking at all these beauties again. Thanks to all who upload and share. A BIG thanks to the gals who keep this thread going every week, bringing a smile to someone. These are some of my amazing favorites:
beesmomCC627 Dragonfly Prayers by beesmom - at Splitcoaststampers picking a fave card of Maura's is tough - my faves gallery has most her cards in it. I love this one because of the colors and that awesome bg - this girl knows how to do a bg!
HolsteinF4A372 Love Helps by Holstein - at Splitcoaststampers I love all Linda's cards but this one speaks to me because this image was so loved by my Mother and Linda totally brought it to life here - such lovely work!
jojotLittle Leaves by jojot - at Splitcoaststampers I just love the way she used these leaves and green is my fave color! Another example of how we don't need a million supplies to make an awesome card.

I am in love with so many cards from 2017 and this was really tough to narrow down. I tried to add cards from so many wonderful friends and tried going through each month to see what just had to be on this list from my favorites.
Thank you to the sweet SCS friends that have taken the time to leave me card love, add my cards to your favorites weekly lists for 2017 and added me to your Best Of Favorites for 2017. You have really been so encouraging and supportive of my crafting and it is truly an honor to be on your favorites and have you take the time to leave me some love.
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2018 and I look forward to seeing as many of your cards as I can this year.
Oh my goodness Carla, what an honor. Thank you for choosing my Christmas card as one of your 2017 favorites.
Happy New Year to all of the talented stampers on this amazing site!
