Shannon I've been getting the updates on this thread and was right there with you on the incomplete Yeti post. But...I see now that you've edited it and seems to be all there! YEAH!! Now you can relax Ms. Yeti!
I just LOVE the inspiration these challenges pull out of me. I NEED them to get the engine running. I always miss them when it's over. I know the daily challenges are always available but for some reason it just doesn't affect me to same way.
Big Love to all the hostesses, supporters and sponsors. And a Special Big HUG to Ann for commenting on ALL the cards!

Well got mine posted also. I hope it worked because when I went to copy and paste from my word document, the links did not work. Grrr. So back to linking.
Oh well, I feel a sense of accomplishment and glad I completed the challenges.
I created a word file with the challenge keyword linked to my card in the gallery. When I copy and paste it into the yeti thread, the links do not seem to transfer. Am I doing that right? Thank you.

Did you click on preview? Mine looked different when I posted but I previewed before I clicked submit and they looked fine so then I submitted.

Yes, I did look at preview, and normally when posting cards I can click on them and a window opens with the picture of the card in the gallery. That's why I am concerned.

Send your list to Cook22 she has offered to preview anyone's list to confirm that it is correct and works.

I think there is something wrong technically!!
Because this happened to me and it looks like a few others.
Same thing, I had mine in a word document and when I transferred it over it did not take the links!
I went back in and did it again, then some of them were missing, I was still using word.
You may just have to go in directly adding each line link to each challenge.
That is the way I finally got all of mine to show up.
you would have needed to have saved it as a .txt
or a ah, my mind just went blank ( its late) and Microsoft office word does something to the links... ( so, like when you make a favorites list thread with all the links I seriously sit there and directly copy and paste them. )
I have three tabs open, one in the thread in the reply box where the list is being built, one of my gallery, and one of the master list so, I can poke around in my gallery in order and copy paste them. this site will auto format the hyper text links for you.
Got my Yeti post done! I can't believe that I caught one that wasn't in the Falliday gallery. Glad I caught it and got it shifted. It was on my 3rd check. I kept forgetting to look up and see if they were in the gallery and every time I adjusted anything I went back and checked all the links again so good thing! This has been a fun year. I will admit that I was really bummed about HYCCT which was near and dear to my heart because of my mother's breast cancer and especially because it was the first year since Mom's death-I was on auto pilot last year all through HYCCT and then dropped out of stamping for most of the year. However, I kept quiet and tried to enjoy the new and not bemoan the "loss" of the old and sure enough I really did enjoy it.
As always, the hostesses did a great job of coming up with a good mix of challenges. The commenting has been encouraging and the chat has been fun. Y'all rock!
In general, pasting text (.txt) files into a post is a much better choice than pasting .doc or .docx files which can add extra junk, so I'd second Stacy's comment. JoAnn, I saw your pm, I'll respond later. On a day off and hoping to get back to sleep for a couple of hours after the coffee DH has kindly brought me.
I have prepared and checked my links in a Word document. Then copied into the Yeti Thread. Everything worked perfectly. I also had a doc. file so this can not be the Problem.
However, I am glad for anyone who could solve his Problems :-)
Blog: https://istampscrapcraft.wordpress.com/~Rebekah Falliday Fest 2024 dates are October 9-19, with a break on Sunday, October 13th!
Ask me about hosting a challenge!
Morning all! Can't wait to get on with the day---LOL! especially since first stop is the dentist for a checkup and of all the places I detest going the dentist is top slot number 1 on my list. Have a nice dentist and all that but I just hate going and having hands in my mouth. But the rest of the day I can spend in my craft room, which definately needs some attention to cleaning as there are piles on almost everything including Big shot and floor.....oh well.... life is short, make messes....that's my motto and I'm sticking to it.

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
Three of us were at the dentist the other day and no one had cavities etc. That hasn't happened for a long time! DH is taking his turn today so we'll see if we can go 4 for 4.
I grew up in the Chicago area so I have lots of excited friends and family members with the Cubs victory last night . I stayed up to watch even though I am not a sports fan but it is a piece of history for sure . Anyway I am one of many tired people this morning I am sure. It was 1am before we headed to bed .
DO NOT POST EVERY CARD YOU DID if you did extra for this event!
If you have done more then required only post what is needed! REASON: it takes so long to go through all of the cards to make sure they are valid! You only need one card per challenge and the five tutorials for the holiday blitz.
Think about how long it took you to get your posting ready for the yeti thread, now think about how long it takes someone to verify the postings from each one of us.
Sorry, not trying to nag people just want to help a fellow SCS er who has to do all of the work! And how do I know this...because the first time that I ever was in an event I was so proud for doing extra that I posted all of mine. I felt horrible when I learned how much work it took for someone to get through them all. And if you post it they check it!!
Thanks to Sabrina (Cook 22) for helping me to correct my challenge list before posting. She was SO helpful!!! I loved doing the Falliday challenges this time--and look forward to many more crafting days with SCS.
Oh, hey, Gail - that's amazingly wonderful on the dentist!! Hope you get that 4 out of 4.
Jo Ann's yeti post has posted without links, but she PM-ed them to me and they worked there, so that's weird! But no worries, since I got the links delivered straight to my inbox ;-).
Sabrina, your kindness and the kindness of others behind the scenes just brings me to tears. Its so nice to know that those who had trouble with their links can rest easy as you all have our backs! It would be heartbreaking to have done everything right and then not be able to qualify as yeti because of a computer glitch or strange happenings with carrying the links into the yeti thread. So I take this minute to say thank you for your precious gifts and talents and your love of helping. You are all treasures!

What question Went we mail our is okay! If just put scs and our screen name and our address? Or do we need to Falliday challenges? I address 3 packaged 2 small one and 2 boxes. But I didn't not anything about Falliday challenges. Is that okay or do I need to add that somewhere? thanks Linda
Oh, hey, Gail - that's amazingly wonderful on the dentist!! Hope you get that 4 out of 4.
We did ! I seriously cannot remember when last this happened . If it wasn't a cavity it was newly erupted teeth needing sealing or an old filling needing to be replaced or somebody's wisdom teeth needing extraction. Just think $$$ and you get the picture. We're blessed to have dental insurance but that doesn't cover everything and in the days when all 8 of us were going it could get expensive really fast. We are now in a blue collar community where the majority don't have dental coverage and few can afford regular preventive care. I try not to complain too often and realize how blessed we are. Five of the six have needed braces and we're in the home stretch of paying for that! Light at the end of the tunnel !
