Actually the one without punctuation is correct - punctuation tends to confuse our keyword system.

Teresa is checking for both keywords, so at this point, either one is fine.

Today is full of uncertainties I'm certain but I do hope that I am able to remake the kraft & white ONE LAYER card today...I would really like that to happen even if it is the very last thing that I accomplish in life today!

Off to the other certainties that I know need to happen off of the computer!

Happy Friday Fun Day...

Good Question so either keyword and links is all right for yeti thread? I don't want Yeti people to be miss up by the wrong keyword or link. thanks hotwheels

I was so happy for this big Falliday Challenge! Got me back in the habit of taking pictures and posting them again! I was so out of practice!

Got three done last night and my snowman light today so I'm down to NINE to go! Great news today....my friend who has been raising her daughter's kids was going to court today to try to get guardianship of the youngest (they already had it for the 4 older ones) and was preparing mentally to have to spill the sordid details of her daughter's life in court. The daughter signed the papers at the last minute so all they had to do was file them. Such a relief!
My own DD and SIL met with Social Services and they're going to be named foster parents of the 16 year old boy they've been helping for the past couple of years and who's been living with them the past few months....his mom is currently MIA and had told him he could find his own place to live when he turned 16. It is a huge responsibility for my 26 year old DD, but they've been acting as his parents already, now it's just official. They'll have to go through foster parent training etc, but the case worker is expediting everything and will have the boy stay with them in the meanwhile. So Congratulations I'm a Grandma!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm not cut out to be a Yeti, yet. I still have problems with the foot I had surgery on earlier this year and I just don't have my energy back enough to get everything done. BUT, I did get quite a bit done and I'll keep on going to the last minute. I'm having a great time and it's been a great way to get back into the fun of card making again after more than a year off. I definitely plan to do the Shaving Scream Stencils, especially since Paula (mrslaird) was kind enough to send me 4 SU reinkers.

Time to get back to work,

For the yeti thread, it won't matter at all which keyword you used because you are linking to the card in the gallery. If it's in Falliday Fest gallery, it's in the reports, and if Teresa is checking both keywords, then she'll see all the cards in the challenge gallery; it will just be two galleries instead of one .

Congrats, Grandma Gail!! Lovely to hear some good news.

so---is there a head count for Falliday Fest? Or will that be a major headache to compute? I am always curious about the number of participants whether they did one challenge or all of them, no tutorials or all of them....would think it would have some impact on advertisers as well to know how many bodies had eyes, fingers and more on the site during this Fest. Or am I just crazy?

I remade the white on kraft card challenge...as one layer...let me just say...after the picture is taken I will be trimming the kraft to be layered onto white because I could only afford to buy JoAnn's kraft cardstock...and well...it looks and feels like copy paper!

JoAnn's is not as nice as SU or Michael's...but it was only $2...

I'm not a fan of one layer cards even with thicker c/s. Although, I do color most of my images & I still have color bleed through the thicker c/s.

Those are usually some of the trivia questions Lydia asks during prize drawings! They get those answers when they run the reports after the uploading deadline. I can tell you that last time I looked there was 2165 cards in the featured gallery.

It really has been a boost to see some positive things happen! I never expected my first grandchild to be a 16 year old Puerto Rican but we're excited to welcome him officially!
I have realized today that I goofed the Kraft & White challenge by totally missing the one layer part! I did start another that is one layer so I've a quick fix for that. I love the tealight snowman and from purchasing for VBS lighthouses I know where I can order in bulk. Walmart also has 12 packs.
Working on my angel now.

I remade my submission for DiniB's challenge...took my incorrect submission out of that gallery and uploaded the new one. Had wondered why not even the challenge person had commented...

Follow the directions maybe that will help!

From my experience cross town moving is just as hard as cross country and sometimes even more so due to not truly packing in an organized fashion. We actually moved from one 2 story house with an attic to another right across the street. Hired some teenage boys to empty the attic and they really earned their money!!!Got my angel done and the (one layer this time) gingerbread challenge. I love them both! You guys came up with some winner challenges for sure.

Muscrat you made me laugh with your comment on my card...only on that first card did I remember to use the "buddy" thing...on the other 2 cards there are flecks!

That buddy makes a great difference.

Maybe then it is because the powder I'm using is 8-10 years old and so is the pigment ink!!!! I inherited what I have from my son...

Problem discovered! I was double checking my card challenges.....all 30 show up in my card gallery. but only 29 show up in the Falliday Fest Gallery. It posted in the challenge chatter thread and I have checked my keywords and so forth. What is my best resort? Post it again? Delete the current post and then post again?

Yes. Edit.

So-- I'm ff gallery surfing, looking for faves for tonight's favorites thread. (I get to start the thread tonight, and I want to showcase ff cards as much as possible.). Well, it's a surprise for this mod: Lots of the items folks posted for tutorials are in the falliday gallery rather than the holiday blitz technique galleries. I moved more than a few! Please check and edit your lists.

I wonder how we can get word out? I've been telling people I know to make sure the tutorials are in the holiday blitz gallery. The directions are clear, but they may be skimming or just assuming they all go in the ff gallery. Brenda you are awesome for moving the ones you've found! Cookies for you!

I am resting, but cookies sound good. May have to bake. Trouble is our weather is still not. 80s.

I baked a cake this morning. Its for tomorrow. I'm doing laundry now. Just cleaned up dishes. Hopefully that's all I'll have until tomorrow. Soup is cooking.
