Kandie, zoomies is actually a thing! Not suppose to interrupt a dog when they are doing their zoomies! Ember does them a lot!! So funny to see, she tucks her but down and runs like a nut!
Our pups ate the pee pads in the beginning too. Did you know the companies put in a scent in them to attract the dogs to them. That is why our Accalai went constantly! I would put a clean pad down and she would pee again, and again!
Take care if you are going out and mask up! Don't want you catching this virus that is also all over!
Ann, I hope Richard can get rid of that cough and fever. My DH is coughing now and has lots of drainage. I understand the sleepless nights. I'll have to check out your challenge today and hopefully, can get some cards made today.
I did get a small burst of energy yesterday and was tired of sitting in my recliner, so I made a bunch of panels for FF tutorial 3. It was fun but body and brain could only handle making one card. I'm tired of being tired! LOL
LOVE that gingerbread house...I think I could follow that recipe, Melody! LOL
Jean, it is frustrating that we have to be so worried about going out. Nothing "normal" about that. Good for you for getting Christmas decorations put up and starting to address cards. I'm going to be late on that this year. Hugs
Catherine, I hope DD1 continues to get better. Illness does wear you out. I'll have to check out your cards. I'm hoping to make some today in between naps. We've had steady rain for two days now, which is good. I miss the sunshine, though. How was the open house?
Jan, glad you got Steve's meds...what a great pharmacist.
Kandie, I'm so happy you are starting to feel better and I'll bet it helps having that little love, Noella. How sweet that you made boxes for the ladies for the wrapping party.
Thinking of Shelly in the holy land! How exciting.
Jayne, I hope you and Wayne are doing better.
Hugs to all and have a great Monday.

Good morning! I'm running late today, wow to lots of chatter!
We decorated last night but haven't gotten the outside lights up yet. We don't have many for outside as we threw away a lot of them at the end of last season.
Ann, you have me afraid to look at the Falliday challenges!
For those of you who love Egypt, have you read the book series by Elizabeth Peters? There are a lot of them and they are set there, just fun reading for the most part.
I've got to run, love the gingerbread house, Melody!
Someone just told me about someone who got a deer but gave the meat away. I think the only good reason to hunt is for the meat but that's just my opinion, not being from a hunting family.
Gracie, gosh, being tired for so long makes me tired. And there are a lot of other viruses out there too, who knows how we get them. The grocery store was pretty busy but they still have the plexi up, which I appreciate, and often I was in an aisle all by myself. But I still masked. I spent a lot but I only shop once a month generally. I made myself feel better about going by wearing flannel pajama pants....screw the jeans. I did wear underwear with them though, just in case you were concerned about that.
The store now requires people to put fresh donuts in clear bags, so I'm guessing people were lying about how many donuts were in the white bags. Of course they were. I bought one and it's already eaten.
Off to create some more. Funny pic, Kandie, Noella is so darn cute. Puppies are funny but a lot of work.
Wow, Catherine, you didn't write much...you must be stretched to the limit.

Falliday Fest continues tomorrow!! And it's my challenge to start the day! Hope some of you will be brave enough to play along! I am taunting you all!!
Richard is worse today! Fever broke but he looks like he was hit by a train! His coughing kept me awake for hours last night.
Just ordered him 12 big bottles of juice! Amazon Fresh delivery to the rescue, along with more Nyquil.
Teri, I ordered him all kinds of different juices to help him keep up his strength and help his sore throat! Fruit juices! Cranberry-grape, fruit punch, cranberry, etc... Orange juice upsets our stomachs! We all have stomach weirdness!
Jean, deer hunting is also a sport, and often a time for guys to spend time together away from families, etc. I know that often a group will hunt together and split up the meat, because everyone doesn't get a deer. But I'm sure there are some who get a deer, but don't need the meat or their family doesn't like it, so they bless someone else with it. The only person from my family that was ever a hunter is my sister's husband. They had a farm near Wautoma & he & his dad hunted on their own land. We have friends who both husband and wife hunt. Last year they gave us some venison sausage, which was yummy.
DH usually freezes a few tender pieces he calls fish, but the rest he has made into bologna sticks. It's expensive to have it done into sticks but he says it's delicious.
Is it me? or is just the way things are? Family just don't seen close knit any more. Either dose friends. I just feel so lost. If, you know what I mean. It's not just Hoildays But, it's all year round for my family and friends. And I don't think I like where this is going. IT's good internet friends. But it's not same has see your friends and family. I love you all. Linda
Ann, hope Richard is improving and everyone else who is sick.
Gracie, DH was improving but has hit the wall today. We are both going to do another covid test.
Have you seen your Dr about your tiredness? Could you be low on iron? Don’t leave it…I will be on your back lol.
We went to Egypt for my 50th many moons ago. It was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. There was lots of security even then and especially at tourist sites and at the hotel.
Catherine I will check the books out.
Jean, I hear you. I would definitely wear a mask if going out. There’s just too much sickness out there at present.
Melody, that’s my type of gingerbread house too lol.
Kandie, glad you are feeling better. Noella looks as though she has a lot of energy.
Hi to everyone else. Time to seize the day

Hi Jayne, sorry to hear DH isn't feeling better. I hope you don't test positive for Covid. Masking is probably a good idea again. Sheesh
Well, I managed to do Ann's FF challenge today. Yay! I got to rest while my watercolor backgrounds dried. Another low key day. Ann, I really loved that technique! I designed 4 Christmas cards with a Western theme because the the watercolor skies reminded me of all the bright stars in the Arizona sky. A bit different for Christmas, but what the heck.
Linda, sending you hugs and hopefully, you'll see family over the holidays.

Thanks Gracie. I’m sure the tests will be negative, and just precautionary as we have things on later this week. I’ve already had to cancel an appointment for DH today as he’s not good and had one of his “episodes” last night on top of his current sickness. Yikes.
I made my final Xmas cards last night. Not my usual style but I had to be quick as I need to get them in the mail.

thanks Laides I have busy Dr.Sonja busy She and I FF Challenges, and my church christmas cards and family and Friends. And ABC Chirstmas cards for all the Ladies. And the everyday challenges too.
Thanks Linda
Gracie I mailed mine nearly 2 weeks ago and I’m hoping nearly 4 weeks will be enough time to get to everyone. The last 4 will be touch and go but I ran out lol. I meant to ask how your DH is going. Is he still coughing? Our coughs have improved but then something else comes along…honestly. I don’t know what’s going on with the sinuses at present. Every second day I wake with a sinus headache. Must be some pollen out there. Keep well. Hugs back

Ann, I know what you feel like. Sinuses definitely are affected by the weather changes. Take care and i hope you can get rid of that headache. I woke up at 5 a.m. with a dull headache, but a bit better now. I think we all need a tropical vacation!

Good morning! I did something very strange for me, I went to bed early last night! It was a weird experience! LOL Early was around 10:20 pm but that is really early for me. Needless to say, I didn't get much done last night.
DD2 got home from work close to 8 pm and then pretty much went straight to bed because she had to be back at work at 7 am this morning (originally it was supposed to be 6 am). It is a very busy time at her store. Sunday, she was done with work and headed out of the store to head home so no Michaels vest or nametag or anything and a customer stopped her and asked if she worked there. She said yes because she isn't going to lie, and followed it with she was off and headed home. To which the customer responded with her question about where something was. I'm guessing she didn't listen to what DD2 said? Who asks someone a work question when they aren't working?! I know, someone desperate for help. It just isn't something I would do. She was a little frustrated because Sunday had been a long day at work but she helped her.
Jean, I'm with you. I wish that Falliday could have been scheduled in October or something. It is just too busy right now to try to keep up with the challenges.
Ann, you had me afraid of what your challenge is. I did look yesterday and hope to try it but you had me afraid beforehand! LOL
Sorry you are dealing with headache and doggy throw-up and a sick son. Hoping Richard is better.
Congrats to your DH, Kathy. I hope it is clear of CWD. My dad used to go deer hunting but he wasn't a good hunter as far as I can remember. I think it was a guy time thing for him.
Jean, you cracked me up by clarifying about your underwear!
Sending you big hugs, Linda. People just get too busy.
Gracie, Jayne is right, you could be low on iron.
Jayne, sorry that Wayne is still fighting this thing and that you had a sinus headache. Hoping you both are better soon!
Gracie, I look forward to seeing your cards you made for Ann's challenge.
Good morning. I just cooked a whole chicken in the IP. Now for the 'fun' (yuck) of getting all the meat off the bones. I'll have some (not the bones) for lunch first, though. The chicken was given to us (frozen), so it's been sitting in the freezer for awhile. I'm very thankful for a good freezer. I could wish for a bigger (or a 2nd) one.
I thought about working on Christmas cards today, but I just can't get myself in the mood. I haven't really made any new ones this year, so all I have are left over from previous years. What's a girl to do? I may or may not get any of them sent out.
I tried making some fabric origami ornaments, but am not liking how they turn out. I'm going to try pressing them to see it that helps.
Ann sorry you have a headache and then your dog was sick. I think you may be right about being a weather forecaster. The wind has been awful here and maybe why my sinuses have been playing up.
Melody I had to push myself on Xmas cards this year. I didn’t send last year but as Gracie says when you are doing other enjoyable things who has time to think about cards. This is a busy month as it is. Great ornaments.
Catherine, your body must have been telling you something. I agree, Falliday is way too late. December is a busy month. I would have been like your DD and helped the customer but why would the customer ask when your daughter wasn’t wearing a badge. I guess people want help during this time and maybe she saw her uniform?
Lol…Jean I’m also glad that you wore undies lol. I can’t believe that they sold you a bag of donuts and one had been eaten into. Yuk. Did you complain? I won’t buy items which are unsealed and generally buy them from a bakery so I can see them putting them into the bag. One of my pet hates is where staff handle bread and food and don’t wear gloves.
No covid this end but we are both coughing slightly. It’s quite harmonious..one after the other lol. I feel something is trying to get me again but I’m kicking butt. Yesterday didn’t pan out as expected so today is busy and I still haven’t been to buy a tree. I’m going to take one step at a time and just do what I can. Tomorrow I have my post op appointment. DH is improving so that is a plus.

I tried to catch up a bit but still way behind on the chatter.
Catherine, I’ve read every Elizabeth Peters book written. Did you ever read the Vickie Bliss ones? I don’t think she wrote many with that character.
I felt better yesterday, masked up of course and went to the pharmacy to get another test. Still positive. Last night and all day today have been back to miserable again. And I still can’t take the pup out unless it’s before anyone is up or after everyone is in bed, and by that time I’m in bed as well. Noella won’t go on the pee pads, she shreds them. I’m tired of scrubbing carpet from pee and poop, she goes constantly. Looks like I have to leave her food dish out for only so long and then put it away, and the water too. My Hoover carpet shampoo machine arrived today. Tomorrow I will scrub the carpet clean. I’ve been taking the trash out late at night because the wastebaskets are full of dirty paper towels that I don’t want to flush. The pipes plug up easily here. I probably wouldn’t be getting so frustrated if I felt better.
Shes a smart little tyke, she’s sitting for a treat now. She puts her paws up to be put on the couch when she’s tired. Why can’t “go potty on the paper” get through her furry little head? Lol
Ann, I’ve still got the sore throat, sweating, cough and runny nose as well.
I don’t interrupt her zoomies, I just sit on the floor and laugh. It tickles me because the gpigs did them as well.
im off to bed. I’ll try to get the rest of the chatter caught up tomorrow. Good night, everyone.

Kandie I'm sorry that you are still struggling and it can't be fun having to clean up after your little Noella when you aren't feeling well. I couldn't cope with cleaning up poo/wee in the house. It would stress me out even though one day I would love a little dog but DH isn't keen. We saw the cutest little cavoodle whilst away and I fell in love. Glad you have got yourself a good carpet shampoo cleaner. Don't overdo it. Sleep well.
Seems our plans have gone awry for today but I'm ok with it. I'm just going with the flow. Winnie is clean and will go back into storage later today.

DH came home from the cabin early so we headed off to Walmart. He dropped me off and went to get gas. As I walked by the front of the store I noticed three or four employees in the hair salon and they were not busy so on a whim I went in and got my haircut. they don't usually have that many employees working at one time. Apparently they've geared up for the holidays but the girl who cut my hair said they were not busy at all yesterday or today. But I was there early so they probably had more business later. I bought some hair color months ago and just never got around to using it. But when I looked at my hair in the mirror today I realized I did not have dark roots anymore. I think I've grayed, but to me it still looks blonde. So now I'm thinking I may not use that hair color after all. Besides, the gray gets me discounts most places! it's funny how that changed so slowly I never noticed it. I just said to DH the other day that I don't have dark roots anymore!
Having trouble sleeping, which is unusual for me. Too much on my mind, I guess. Cards are one thing I don't stress about...I like getting them into January and I imagine a fair amount of people feel that way too. I was up around 3, couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up and accomplished a few things.
Very foggy this morning but not bad enough to keep me from going to WCTC (technical college) for their Christmas cookies. I think that school is fabulous.
Kandie, good vibes coming your way. I'm feeling lonely this year and I don't have a puppy and I'm not sick.
Yesterday I had to mail two padded envelopes so I waited in line at the PO to have them weighed. Took a long time as they only had one window open. The only other employee was on lunch. It was about 2pm and boy was one lady griping...'having lunch so late???? Ridiculous that there is only one person.' The one person working stated for all to hear that they are short staffed and you know, they have been for quite a while. (that's my 2 cents worth). I, on the other hand, was dancing to Rockin' around the Christmas Tree. I can't stand still plus my back and knees were bothering me standing in line. We have two choices....go with the flow, accept what you are not in control of.....or complain, which wouldn't have helped in this case.
Melody, love those ornaments and yes, I'd say pressing them made a big difference. You're so talented.
I'm going to go back to bed now. zzzzzzzz

Kathy, waiting to see your bag-a-lope!! I think it was in a different spot since it is an old technique.
Hope everyone is feeling much better today!
Here, Jean is right, lots of fog and icy weather this morning! Good to stay inside. My sons yell at me not to go out so I don't get hurt!
Kandie, it will get better with the pups! I remember those nights of two pups crying and pooping in the house! We were going through so many pee pads and at least a roll of paper towels a day! And son bought a floor scrubber too for the kitchen floor! We have allergies to dog dander so none of the dogs are allowed in our bedrooms upstairs.
Good morning! I woke too early so am tired this morning. Last night I got my Christmas cards addressed, signed, sealed, and stamped. DD2 was a HUGE help with that, she is such a blessing! I did alpha sister cards on Sunday (though the international ones probably won't arrive in time), this was my other Christmas list that we did last night. Thankful to have that task done. Now on to the baking for neighbors and co-workers and finish up gifts.
I was on the verge of tears all day yesterday. Mostly I'm trying to not think about January but it was getting to me yesterday for some reason.
Such pretty fabric ornaments, Melody!
Jayne, DD2 wears regular clothes, the only "uniform" is her Michaels vest which she didn't have on.
My body probably was trying to tell me something. Sunday morning I was feeling like something was trying to get me so I starting dosing with zinc and, thankfully, it went away.
I'm glad that Wayne is doing better, hoping your cough is gone soon though those always linger.
Kandie, I haven't read the Vickie Bliss books. The Elizabeth Peters books were a happy find on the library shelves. I think maybe the library had a book of hers set out and I picked it up and was intrigued, a happy accident.
So sorry Noella isn't getting the hang of the pee pads. Such a hard time to have a new puppy when you aren't feeling well. We got a carpet cleaner too, when Honey was old and having lots of accidents. My goal is to change our floors to hard surface but, in the meantime, we had to have something to keep up with the messes.
Praying you feel better very soon!
Kathy, I had that happen to me too. My hair turned gray but looked blond to me. It now actually looks gray though. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair color and people wanting to know who colors it....I find that amazing because I don't like my hair color!
Jean, sorry you were having trouble sleeping. Thank you for being patient at the Post Office. So many places are short staffed and people are impatient and rude. DD2 wanted me to bring her Taco Bell home last Thursday so I popped into the drive through. The wait was SOOOO long, it was frustrating but I realized they must be short staffed. When I finally got to the window, an older man was working the window. I said, "You must be short staffed?" His facial expression was priceless and then he said, "I'm not saying anything, I'm just the manager and thank you for your patience." He then gave me a coupon for a free something or other on our next visit. Poor guy, he did say that most customers had been nice so that was good.
Catherine how much zinc do you take. I have some in my multi but wondering how much your single zinc is? Glad you didn't get a bug.
Melody your gingerbread house gave me a chuckle! You are very talented with making those ornaments!
Jayne, we got a real tree but all I have done is lights and the tree topper. Trying to get cards out.
Jean, hate when one is awake at 3! Going back to be is a good idea! Love that you weren't complaining but dancing, lol. My back has been acting up lately. We have not been walking regularly but we went for a walk last Sat. and ever since my back is ouchy. Have already been to the chiro but it didn't help much.
Here it is just cloudy and snow is taking awhile to melt from last Tues. We did dodge a forecasted snow bullet though, which was good. Might get some on the weekend. Hope not as we are going to my brother's for dinner on Sat. night.
Jan and Annette- I got your cards today! Thanks so much!
Kandie this covid bug is a hard one and prayers you feel better soon.
Prayers for your son too Ann!
Hugs to Linda and all!

Good afternoon. ive been a slug most of the day. Ann, do you feed your dogs twice a day? Or anyone here who has or has had a puppy? The pet store fed them at 7 am and 7 pm, probably to keep them from peeing and pooping in their kennels or on prospective customers. The article i read said twice a day, remove the food after 15 minutes. What about water? I can’t wait till I can take her outside. She won’t use the pee pads at all but has decided the fluffy bath rug will work. I say go for it, I can always get another one. But I can’t always catch her in time.
Got a phone call from management today. How am I feeling, they asked. Like I have a bad cold, I said. What about Friday, they said. What about all your products. I said I can always mask and glove and have sanitizer on the table, and it’s only two hours. I’m to call them tomorrow and let them know how I feel! Wow! Sounds like they are willing to bend the rules if I’m properly attired.
And that cheered me up, so I broke out the new carpet cleaner and had at it. I ran out of solution (only a small sample enclosed) and will get some more but did get everywhere except one carpet section cleaned. And I found a use for those Guinea pig cages! I’m sure hoping tomorrow is good.
Melody, this ornaments are adorable! How long does it take to make one? Did you follow a pattern located online somewhere?
Ann, Gracie, Shirl, Teri, Jan, Jayne, Linda, Meolody, Catherine, Kathy, Jean, anyone whose name slipped my mind, sending healing wishes to you all. So much illness. And our hospitals,I hear, aren’t testing for fevers or requiring masks anymore. I feel they are stopping too soon.
