DH is home so it feels like Saturday. Went to Perkins for breakfast. Got a mammoth muffin as part of my meal but got it in a to go bag. Then it forgot "to go" home with me! Also went to Michaels and acmoore. Didn't get any thing exciting
We're back. Everything went well, thank you for your prayers. She is quite pleased with the fact that she was cognizant and didn't say or do anything goofy when she came out from under anesthesia. Right now she is feeling great - of course she is still numbed and probably will be until this evening.
I hope your appointment went well too, Kandie!
Vickster! Glad you popped in, we've been concerned about you.
My oldest DS was very obnoxious after his wisdom teeth were pulled! He was probably 16, and he's always loved driving and he was trying to insist he was driving us home! NOT! The youngest was pretty good about it all.
Catherine, glad your DD got through okay. Did she get meds for later, when the numbness wears off?
The dentist ground down the sharp edges of the denture and partial that were hurting me, so much better now.
Has anyone been shopping for clothes lately? I feel a return to the 60s and 70s clothes is coming our way. The fall sweaters are v-neck and crew neck cable knit, the thinner sweaters have the zip at the back again, and the patterns look like stuff I can find in the retro section of the thrift store, the blazers are in wool blend with fringes on the sleeves. I didn't like those the first time they came out. Button front little cardigans again with little pearl buttons. A lot of striped stuff and boat neck tops. Oh my. Seems weird to see designs I already wore once.

Kathy - that is funny about your son trying to convince you he could drive home! DD is old enough to drive but doesn't have her learner's permit yet, she doesn't actually want to drive.
Yay, I have almost everything on the Falliday shopping list. I don't know how much I'll participate but at least I don't need to buy a lot for it. I'm not one for 3D projects much so we'll see. I never know what to do with 3D projects.
Kandie - yes, we filled 3 prescriptions on our way home. I took a photo of her there with her head sock and two blue ice packs on her cheeks. She asked me to post it on FB, silly girl. My youngest saw the photo and said, with horror in her voice, "She didn't go out in public like that, did she?!" She has an antibiotic for a few days, high strength ibuprofen, and then Norco if the ibuprofen doesn't keep it handled.
And no, I haven't been shopping for clothes lately. I don't mind v-neck sweaters, I guess I'll have to go out and check it out.
Yes, many prayers for those going through the dental procedures!!
Victoria, is moving stuff from one house to the other. She is worn out and tired and not getting a lot of help from some family members. She is frustrated!!
She needs our prayers as well!
Prayers for all in need. I have a toothache myself, so I'm feeling the pain of those having dental work!
What's up with Victoria? Is she moving? Her birthday is coming up, so I'm wondering if she'll have a chance of address.
I don't wear sweaters unless they are the kind you can unzip and take off. Too many hot flashes! I can't wear turtlenecks either, but I would love to. I keep it light and simple and just make sure I have sweaters or jackets I can remove and put back on easily.
Its raining! Yay! We haven't had much rain at all. On sons wedding day it sprinkled a little but nothing helpful. DH is at the cabin. I wish I had put the electric blanket on the bed, but I sleep on a heating pad so that should keep me warm. I got the new one out because the automatic shutoff is two hours instead of one.
Tomorrow my demo friend invited me to a kettle cook picnic at her parents. She knew DH was away. We are going to play with some mini coffee cups she got us on amazon. I'm taking crafting stuff!
Woohooo...got Mitch mostly settled in as best can be. Now I just need to go get me a baby monitor...hopefully one with 2 recievers!! Grrrr someone cut the water line to the 2nd bathroom !! Smh. ... so water hose will have to do for now . Brings me back to my childhood and his use to it being he too had been there at a point in his growing You lol ...my kids probably are like omg lol but we do what we must lol..God surely blessed me with my one and only DD!! Who lite a fire under her brothers butt and even when he didn't feel it burning , she kept full speed ahead so bless her heart , we are all finally in 1 house and packed like sardines. Haha .now to get Des and her youngest brothers stuff sorted then there's grandson. And oldest son. Fewww just typing about it wears me out!!!! As for my space? Still cluttered and packed a mess and looks as if a hoarder lives in my space lol pray for me to get it situated soon so I can be ready for fallifest!!
Sis Diane - No address change. Same address we just moved back home from son's place.
Also got a call for the supplier for my apnea machine and classes and machine pick up is for Oct 13 but I still have to make sure I get someone to take me for the appointment, since it's a dailysis day for Mitch. So we see how that works out.
Well shoot!! Looks as if I need to add quite a few things for the fallifest. I pretty much used up all my acrylic paint . So that's a must shop for and I've never ever used glossy cs before so that's another. No copic or alcohol reinkers! Ha looks like a shopping I need to go!!
Missed you all. Maybe I can get Des to try play this time we shall see. She is now trying to finish her 3rd crocheted blanket and this one is huge!!
Good afternoon ladies! Happy Saturday... it's gorgeous here. Sunny and 66! A bit on the chilly side if you aren't in the sun. We were sitting on the front porch, but decided to come inside.
I'm glad to hear the dental procedures went well Catherine and Kandie.
Sorry Kathy I wasn't sure when you said your son's was...
Ann, congrats on that new granddaughter! <3 She was pretty big... were here other 2 that big? My biggest was 8lbs 7oz and that was plenty big for me. lol
I don't know if I mentioned I had started my low carb eating again. I had to do something... ugh. I weigh more now than I ever have.. I'm thoroughly disgusted with myself... but the good news is, I'm down 7 lbs and it's been super easy. No cravings for stuff I shouldn't have. I have a long way to go.. but I need to do this. For me.
I got my hair cut yesterday.. it had been years since I had been to a salon. My hair was all one length and I usually just trimmed the ends myself. I got layers and some side bangs.. it's so cute now. She cut a lot of hair off.. not length.. just bulk. I have a lot of thick hair... and it was just getting to be too much. I was happy to have some taken off.
I have packing to do this weekend. My daughter and I leave for Az on Tuesday! I'm sooo excited. We are going up Monday to get a hotel.. that way we don't have to leave here super early Tuesday morning and risk getting caught in traffic and getting delayed. Bf is just dropping us at the hotel... they have a complimentary shuttle to the airport that we'll use Tuesday morning. =)
I had a rough morning.. I woke up with a headache and was dry heaving again. Ugh. That was about 10:00... after several trips to the bathroom, I felt better and was able to sleep. I didn't get up till 2pm!!! Yikes. I got up and had some coffee and took some extra strength Tylenol. I feel better.
Hi Jennifer, sorry to hear you had a rough morning as you say. But wanted to wish you safe travels on Tues!
Been out for a walk, and am leaving soon with a hot 55% off Mikes coupon.
I really have not done much clothes shopping lately, but everything old is new again, from the sounds of it. Nothing new under the sun, lol........
Glad the dental things went alright. I had two wisdom teeth out a long time ago and I swelled up so much I could barely get a straw through my lips to slurp some soup!
Jennifer, good to hear from you. Have any of those doctors figured out why you get the dry heaves? All I know is that makes the pounding in your head that much worse.
Smart move about getting a hotel room near the airport!!!!!
Hi, Shirl. How was your walk? It is absolutely gorgeous here today. It was 41 when we got up, and 60 by 1. Our college team is playing at home today and the weather is perfect. The crowds were at the stadium from 7 AM on for the 5 o'clock start.
I woke up with a bad headache but took a Zyrtec-D right away and it was gone by 11. We've been to a craft fair and DH bought me a little tin button box with a handle, which I'm going to put all my ribbons in. We shared a elephant ear pastry and I got a cup of coffee. Apparently it was strong because I chattered all the way to the grocery, and all the way home, and the whole time we put groceries away. I've sat down and jumped up half a dozen times. DH finally said, for Petes Sake, girl, sit down!

Did any of you get the year of cheer DSP from SU? It's gorgeous! Wish it were one of the specials that start tomorrow. Buy three get one free, but not all the paper is on that list. We have class Thursday this week because weekends are busy for the other two friends.
It's official. I'm addicted to Mallo cups! They are made in PA, so maybe I'll visit the factory and get some samples! LOL
Ha, ha, Kandie, there is a whole lot of shakin' going on. Caffeine can do that to you. I am just happy I can have a cup of joe in the morning. But as for the rest of the day I stay away from coffee and just have tea.
My walk was solo, as hubs was at the hospital all night with his mom who had fallen and couldn't get up. She is fine, but protocol is that they send the residents to emerg. So he did not get home till 6 a.m. this morning. We did go to the Coldplay concert as my stepson was available to help until we got home after midnight to relieve him. Emerg, takes so long unless one is having a heart attack. We got the call in the middle of the concert but thankful that my stepson was available.
Kathy, that speciality paper looks fabulous! Yes, too bad they don't work out a deal for us with the higher priced dsp. So, I take it, you got the year of cheer paper!
I got more 110 lb cardstock from Mikes with my coupon! Had to wear a jacket with a hood. It has been raining off and on today!
Yes, I got Year of cheer paper. Also got the champagne foil paper too. And a pack of the acetate boxes. Demo sent in an extra order so I sent along. We are ordering again on Thursday. I'm debating on the buy three get one free offer for October. I am loving their DSP this mini. I need to look through the catalog again.
Jennifer - your biggest baby was 8 lbs 7 oz? That is almost as big as my smallest. My first was 8 lbs 8 oz and second was 9 lbs 2 oz! Congrats on your weight loss and have a fun trip to Arizona!
Diane - sorry you have a toothache, that is painful! I hope it resolves soon.
Kandie - glad the zyrtec got your headache under control. That must have been some strong coffee!
Vickster - woo hoo, so glad you are all home again!
Shirl - sorry about your MIL, glad you got to go to Coldplay. That is a great coupon you had for Michaels. By the way, one of the instructions DD got was to not use a straw for a period of time after her wisdom teeth removal. I'm not sure why that is part of the instructions but how they handle wisdom teeth extractions has definitely changed from when mine were removed.
Kathy - mallo cups sound tasty. I haven't gotten the dsp you mentioned, or any other from the new catalog yet.
DD is doing well today. She was a little swollen on one side so she put her head sock back on and went back to icing it regularly. The pain is increasing a bit today though.
Catherine, when I had a tooth pulled last October they said to rinse with salt water but no spitting! So I guess I was to drool the water out at the sink! I think spitting or sucking through a straw takes force and they want the socket to clot.
Shirl, thanks for the good wishes on my trip. I'm so super excited. It's been years since I've flown. Plus it's my daughter's first time flying. =)
Kandie, no.. I don't think I've mentioned the heaving to the Dr. I think it's more related to my headaches than anything. You are right.. it is horrible to go through that with a headache. Most times I just wish I could throw up and be done and feel better. I have been seeing an improvement in the pain in my stomach whenever I eat. So thankful for that.
Wow, Catherine.. you had big babies. My first was only 7lbs 4oz. Thanks for the congrats! It's a drop in the bucket but at least it's a start. I'll be popping in some while I'm in Az, I'm sure. My sister told me to bring my notebook.. that'll be nice.
My boys were the exact same size! 7 lb. 15 oz. And 21and a quarter inches! I asked them to repeat the size after second one because I thought I had heard wrong.
RE the straw. That was eons ago when I had my wisdom teeth. Glad I did not have any problem. Guess they know more now.
Thanks Kathy, I did see it on the same page as the dsp, but only after you posted, lol. I tend to miss a lot of stuff looking through the cattys. I may have to spring for the champagne foil paper!
