Good morning ladies! Brrrrrrr. 39 degrees this morning. Time to start moving plants to the enclosed back porch. It is supposed to be another lovely fall day. The last antique show on the edge of Lake Michigan, about 1 1/2 hours away, is today and DH wants to go. Things go cheap today because the sellers don't want to haul them home. I have to remember my cane. Yesterday I was listing to the right, lol.

We had 32 this morning. I'm baking cookies already, so it will warm up in here soon. I mixed up the batch last night, but too tired to bake. i told son he could stop by for some for his trip this afternoon.
Glad I was a helpful reminder Catherine. I always followed instructions to a T, and I just had my tooth out last year so it is still somewhat fresh in my mind.
Shirl, SU has a habit of hiding some stuff on the page. Especially embossing folders. I didn't realize they had two this catalog until I saw someone use it in a tutorial. My friend gave me some of the embellishments and foil snowflakes that go with the Year of Cheer paper. She is so wonderful at sharing when she buys stuff.
Morning!! It's cold here as well but the air is on!
Someone was smoking something last night in the neighborhood and wow did it smell!! So stingy that we had to close up all the windows and turn on the a/c even though it was so nicely cool outside. I hate when that happens.
Hello everyone! I won't say good morning - though it is still morning here for 8 more minutes. I tried a new recipe from Pinterest for breakfast this morning - baked overnight pumpkin French toast. Yay, they were tasty! We also had pan fried apples which was like apple pie filling that we made from fresh apples. It smells like fall in our house right now. It was all so tasty. I love it when I try a Pinterest recipe and it is tasty as I've had a few that I tried that weren't tasty.
DH and I ran 3.5 miles this morning. I skipped last week. I've got to increase my distance because I am running the final leg in the relay for the California International Marathon the first Sunday in December. Hopefully the weather won't be yucky like it was the first time I ran in it - there was horizontal rain that day. I wouldn't have even gone except that there were three other people on the team and I couldn't let them down. But the leg of the relay I am running is just over 5 miles and I get to cross the real finish line.
I think it got down into the 50s last night here.
Kandie - have fun at the antique show, that sounds like fun.
Ann - I hate when that happens!
Kathy - what kind of cookies are you making? I was thinking of making some pumpkin chocolate chip ones later today. The family is going to a play this afternoon. I was going to go as well but I'm giving my ticket to my DD's boyfriend so he can go with them. They were supposed to be going to a fun school activity this afternoon but DD doesn't think she is up to it so they are going to the play and then coming back to hang out at our house. Some fresh cookies would be nice for that, I think.
questions Where do you find the Yupo paper? What type paper is it? What do you uses it for? I never heard of yupo paper for!
It's plastic cardstock, and Kandie has done wonderful things with it. It's good for alcohol ink techniques. I got mine online at Jet.com- they had the best price. Most people buy the 5 X 7 inch pad by Tim Holtz.
We're back from the antique show. We took Dusty Dog in her pink stroller and she sure did get the oohs and ahhs and pats on the head. DH found an old firefighter helmet and it was one he hadn't seen yet, so we added it to his collection.
When we got home we walked in the door and something stunk terrible. DH followed the scent and it was coming from our dryer. He put a drop of lavender oil in a face mask and took the dryer vent apart. Baby chipmunk. :(. Apparently it got in and couldn't get out. :(. :(
I didn't find anything but a hot dog, chips, and an ice cream sundae. Yum! I'll pay for that later, I'm sure.

Kandie - how cool that your DH got a new helmet for his collection. I did make the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and they are yummy!
Kathy - I had to look up pumpkin penuche cookies, those sound quite tasty. I'll have to make some of those too! Congrats to your son on his catch.
The family, plus DD's boyfriend, enjoyed the production of The Lion King Jr. that they saw at the theater. It will satisfy one of the girls' outside concert attendance requirements for choir in school. Now they just need to do a report on it for their teacher.
I froze some leftover pumpkin last year. I can eat the whole batch of these by myself! They are moist, soft, and the frosting is the perfect touch. Some made it without the frosting, but I think that is what makes them so wonderful!
I am the proud owner of five 3-sets of Copics. I read several articles on the difference between those and Spectrum Noir. I really do see the difference in blending.
I can't stay awake! Too much fresh air today. I've been napping and now I'm ready for bed. Goodnight, all!

Massive shooting in Las Vegas overnight. My DH's niece was there getting married. They were 50 miles away at the time, thank the Good Lord. Our phone is ringing off the hook from relatives.

I didn't know about it when I got up, my oldest DD (who is home from school today after throwing up this morning - that was fun, not) told me about it. Horrific news. I immediately went to FB to check on my cousin who lives there. She works for the LV PD and her son-in-law is a police officer, her DH is a chaplain with the police. Thankfully, they are all safe. Obviously, many are not. Praying for all involved. It is hard to believe and comprehend.
Catherine, I imagine your cousin was called in? I heard the response from the PD was immediate and excellent. Not a terrorist attack, apparently, but why? DH shut off the tv, which he never does, and has been going on about non-police people buying assault guns.He finally left to cool off. I went to HL. Signs up on the road, Pray for Las Vegas.

Catherine, so glad your family was safe in Vegas, and yours as well, Kandie. I was out walking and praying for all affected by this. Happy we went when we did, that is for sure. It is just horrendous.
