Morning! We had an awful thunderstorm here last night. It was scary, but the sun is out and shining today and we are going to be in the pool and at the beach all day! My two SCS friends who live here are coming down to spend the day with me again (or maybe they just like the pool here.) I'm excited! I'll be back in MD tomorrow :(
I'm still alive just feeling like crap. I had to go yesterday to the ER (girl part problems) so I'm out for this weekend forsure. Cindy please let me know if there is another weekend that works for you.

We had a huge t'storm last night too. Fortunately today looks like a perfect beachy day! We will be building a sand castle for the annual contest. We always do a nontraditional one. Tonight we will be having a bbq complete with grilled mahi mahi and shrimp with another family here - they leave in the morning, we leave Sunday.

okay slow as you know what but I am pleased with the artful stamps...they come very nicely done and the grab bag rocks! I think the phoenix and saying will be perfect for a grad card for my step brother in law

I can't on Monday - have to work (imagine that!), at least not at lunchtime as I have a 12:30 appt. Will let you know about Tuesday...
Sorry about going on a Thursday to the ribbon outlet. Time is very limited as we are leaving for Maine either Sat or Sunday and taking my mom who arrives on Wed afternoon. I am taking her to Hagerstown to visit cousins and we had to flex into their schedule too. Wish you could join us! Next trip, we'll go on a Sat. You know there will be more trips there....

We are back from the castle building contest. "We" (actually I went down when they were almost done and just gave them moral support, so I really should say 'they') took first place (again!) The girls buried one of our daughters from the waist down and made her into a mermaid. They have been gathering seashells all week and they painted them last night with purple, pink and blue puffy paint to decorate the mermaid. If I knew how to post a thumbnail, I would. Maybe I will try after dinner...

Oh yeah, right, as I look out at the gray rain you rub in that the beach is delightful. I think you are mean. I want to trade plaes so I can be mean! I guess your children must have inherited your creative gene as that sounds like such fun. Looking forward to seeing a picture.

Sorry Jane, didn't mean to rub it in. It usually rains wherever we go (I feel like the rain clouds follow me) so this is rather unusual that we left them behind this time! Maybe we will be bringing the sunshine back to MD tomorrow... Can't figure out the thumbnail thing, but will share the picture when you come and get your binders and pages.

Tracy, I hope you feel better soon! Mary left on her cruise yesterday so she won't be back until after 6/27 so you don't have to worry about delivering her order yet. Take care of yourself!
Does it seem like we have all relocated to Seattle w/all this rain? I was at my grandkids rugby game earlier and it was cloudy but a nice breeze blowing. Then the downpour. Of course we stayed as long as the game was on. After all they are the grandkids! Then the thunder rolled in and the game was called. Talk about wet! Even w/umbrellas. It was pouring. Of course now that Im home and changed clothes the rain has stopped. Even hd to take the bra off so now I dont feel like doing anything else or getting redressed, esp w/a bra involved. Amanda and Tracey - sure do hope you are feeling better soon.
Well, everything happens for a reason. So glad we didn't go to Amish Country today for two reasons - one being the nasty storms I had here this morning and another being a fatal accident in a location we would have probably been at at the time it happened up there. When I heard about that this morning, my heart dropped to my feet. So sad! If ya think about it, say a prayer for the families affected.
