Good morning ladies! Just posted my card for today. According to Lydia there should be five challenges posted tomorrow (unless they sneak more in later today). I work retail and Saturday is my "long" day (I'm part time and it's my only 8 hour day) so I'll have to play catch up Sunday/Monday. Today's challenge was a challenge for me at first (I was thinking of resorting to clip art - I have no "construction" type stamps or construction materials laying around the house) then I thought of using silver as the ink color and brads - after all silver is a metal.

Nope - three today - three tomorrow
And you have until November 7th to get your cards loaded - tons of time to catch up!
Both the Free for All and Mixability challenges feature Fall Colors so easy to combine challenges today! Had my morning trot in the damp fall chill with my 4-legged fitness coach. He'd not had a walk for a couple of days and was super frisky so I got a good workout.
Saw the 3 challenges for today and wondered also about the construction idea...I have flat head rhinestones in copper...as well as a few brads that look like screws...turning my head that direction...
Hope to make several cards this morning as tomorrow I will be in IA (3 hours away) for a bridal shower that Koleesa's in-laws are hostessing in her honor...full day away from home tomorrow...
Next week...will be finish time for me...at least that's the plan!
Morning all! I've made peace with the fact that I'm done with HYCCT for this year It's so bittersweet, but worth all the baby snuggles (not to mention toddler busy-ness)! I miss all the chatter, but can't keep up with that either!!! Every day I put something pink on and think of you all!! And 2 of the 3 water bottles I use that are pink!! So I'm close in thought and thankful for the 13 cards I did get made and that are ready to mail!
Happy Birthday Stacy and Bev! Stay safe Lydia and Jeanne! I have been recording all the challenges daily but I have had very little time to be creative. I am currently 17 cards behind in making and more in posting. This weekend (starting today) will be my version of Terry Fox's marathon of hope. I shall call it my "marathon of love, hope, and inspiration". Have a great day all!

Thanks to the "Powers That Be", for uploading all the challenges for today in the morning and not spacing them out over the entire day/evening. This way we can work at our own pace if we choose to keep up with the challenges.....and combine them with the regular daily ones for Fridays. Much appreciated. : )

If only i didn't have month end today, I'd be calling in sick today. lol Have fun.
You asked for a reminder from me to post the Queen's list by October 31. I will be gone after Nov 7 and can't download it any other day but tomorrow. Thanks for doing this. I love HYCCT and all you do to make it happen.
Strugglin with the tutorial to choose...want to make the coffee cup one but then I think I need to send a gift card inside it...the only "chain" food place where I live is McD's...it is literally a hole in the wall, probabaly smallest McD's in the world...it might have 10 tables...
Me, too. Something practical, that can ship. Something I haven't done. Something that doesn't make a huge mess and take more time than I'm willing to commit.
Again, there's a reason these things are called challenges.

I got sidetracked but in a good way...cut papers for 10 winter cards that I will donate to my local hospital...
AND then...I really liked the salt technique which I had never done before but i used ink refills because I didn't have any watercolor paints...well my daughter went to Shopko for me and bought me the paints...now I have another salt background drying!
4000 would be awesome; I'm at around 85 in my challenge I think. If each challenge had 100 we'd be there and I know we've got several who've made extras.
I'm thankful for everyone who's been able to participate whether they've had LOTS to upload or just a few here and there. Every card is one more that will bring a little sunshine into the lives of some folks who could use it! That's success on so many levels!
I'm winding down to have an early night after my crazy day yesterday. I know the physical exhaustion isn't helping my mental exhaustion. Off to comment then off to bed. Happy stamping all!
I am aiming for 80 cards for the Mater Hospital here in Brisbane ,I have just finished all 3 challenges today what fun ,really stretched me thanks for great challenges
This is the first year I've participated and I'm trying to imagine them getting through more than 3000 cards in a year! If they do, that makes me awed about all of the good vibes being passed around, but also sad. Are they completely empty on cards by the time the next October rolls around? We need to find a cure for cancer, and chronic illnesses that rip peoples lives apart. Sigh :(
missed two challenges yesterday. Oops! Guess I'll do them tomorrow or Monday when I do the one(or ones) I'll miss today. Darn it I hate it when work gets in the way!
I do not know if they are completely out by next October, I have read of people sending in more cards like in the spring some times on their own. ( so, hopefully the cards they receive last them a little while until more arrive)
Thanks for all the birthday wishes we ended up being busier than usual for an end of the month. so, I am playing some catch up this morning. ( waiting for the sun to come up I really don't make things in the dark even with the lights on)
Hey guys - we have a little trouble with moving over one of the posts this morning, but the other two challenges are up, and you can see the third challenge in the Master Tracking Sheet so that you can get started!
There is no HYCCT31. HYCCT31A is from Lori and it is called Stop And Smell The Roses. It says:
"My last challenge this year is a reminder, even during difficult and hard times, stop and smell the roses!
That's what each of us who shares a card with the cancer center (either the MD Anderson Cancer Center or your local cancer center!) does... we multiply hope!
My challenge to you is a call to include roses on your card! Images, paper or embellishments! The choice is yours! I chose to use yellow roses because they always warm my heart, even during hard times."
This one should be fun, easy and beautiful! Have fun.
Rushing around like mad trying to get ready for an event at church tonight. Just stopped to eat a late lunch and I gazed at the gallery a minute between bites! You guys are rockin' these last challenges and we're up to 3384 cards! WOW! Can't wait to come back tonight and look at things up close.
Wow, am I feeling stressed! I went away last Saturday and got home late Thursday night. I thought I'd have about 5 cards to catch up on and the new one yesterday and the three today. Surprise on me! I still have 7 to go. What happened?

I am not familiar with the Queen's Thread....where and when does it post...it will be the last one I have to do and I don't want to miss it.
What a fun month....feels good to do something to help others, doesn't it!
Thanks to all you wonderful hostesses!!!
Vicki, from what I understand the Queen's thread should be posted on the HYCCT forum somewhere. I am hoping it will be up today. Cards have to be listed on the thread by Nov. 7, but I will be out of town the entire week! So if it's not up today, I probably won't be able to list all of my Queen's cards in time.
Oh my, It's over, I'm so sad, but will be off and running again tomorrow. So I guess it's a good thing we're done. Making cards in the car isn't easy and I don't really want to do that again. I've finished and mailed them an hour ago. Now to get the queens list up so I can download before I have to leave early in the morning. Will it be up by tonight?
I just had a good talk with myself. What was I thinking? I'm not worried about getting them all done anyway! I DO feel good that I will be sending over 40 cards to lift up others! That's why we do this! Thank you, Vicki!

Gayle, If the queen's thread doesn't go up, you could put your list (with the number of each challenge (Like HYCCT1501A) and the link to your card next to it) in a pm to me. I think they would let me post them for you!

Gayle, Just reminded them about the queens thread!
I sent 105 challenge cards down and 95 from my stash. The last box is waiting at the post office down in Texas for them to open on Monday. I put tracking on my boxes of cards sent!
It has been so much fun working with all of you this year! This was my first year participating and being a hostess!! I too hope they will have me back!!
