Please count me in for March 24th too! See, I told y'all I'd keep watch! I look forward to seeing you all again and to meet the newer folks. AND TO STAMPING! Thanks!
Melanie, please put me down for March 24th. Got all my Feb and March bday's out of the way. I can stamp again, yahoo!
Lynn, thanks for the pics. It is always fun looking at them. Can't believe what cute things you made and how sorry I am I missed my first gathering. Did you all see I couldn't make it and say HEY lets do some SUPER GREAT things??? ;) Love them.
Ladies, I don't know how this idea will go over... but there is a boy in Canada that wants 1,000,000 cards for his birthday in May. He's battling Leukemia and this is his B-day wish. (see link in my sig if interested)
Anyway I was wondering if you ladies would be willing to make B-day related cards, and if so bring 1 extra complete card per person and I will send them to him. Let me know.

A million cards sounds good, but a million thank you notes doesn't sound like any fun. My mom used to make us write a thank you note to everyone.
I should re-phrase my previous post... If you are interested in participating in the boy w/ leukemia birthday card thing, bring a spare card along (geared towards an 8 yr old). You don't have to make a birthday card for the swap (unless you want to...)
That sounds better.
I will take care of sending them all, I have people at work that are going to make cards too. Thanks everyone!

Has anyone ever been to Dick Blick's in Clayton? I was going to try it tonight after work, hopefully to see if they have a good selection of PC pencils and Fabriano Medioevalis cards/ WC paper.
Thanks!

I've been to Dick Blick's, but not in years. You should be able to get your pencils without any problem. I remember them having all kinds of cool stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have the cards/paper your looking for.
Thanks Kelly...I'll add it to the 80+ that I already track. I love the Inkspot...but with it being in Kirkwood, I don't get down there very often (which is probably a good thing for my checkbook). Now I can see what they are doing, and be enabled in the convenience of my laptop!;)
Kelly Count me in for the bday card for your special childs needs. I will bring it on the 24th or if you need it sooner, pm me.
I am a regular at the Inkspot in Kirkwood. They have a great stamp collection and offer some wonderful classes. Enjoy!
Someone told me about this group of women who get together and I was interested. I am located in Belleville, IL about 20 minutes east of St. Louis. My 1st question would be how far are you all located from me? 2nd question would be is do you all do cards or scrapbooking? I have scanned through the pages but figured I would get the answer quicker by posting here! THANKS!
Hi Kristy,
We are located in various areas...I live in Maryland Heights. We have been getting together once a month and have a shoe box swap. The group numbers varies each month, depending on what everyone has going on. The location changes as does the hostess. Our next shoe box swap is the 24th at Melanie's house which is right off of 270 in Hazelwood. (this is right isn't it ladies???). Up until now it has always been cards that we do, or other types of 3D projects. We haven't done any scrapbooking yet. We would love to have you join us if you can! Just keep watching the thread for updates.
Thanks for the info Lynn....but where is Hazelwood? I have only lived here for 6 months so I am not familiar with the area at all! I only know the cities around me! Thanks!
I live in Affton and would like to find some ladies to stamp with. I am a hobby demo. I no longer have an upline they have all quit so I never get to see others ideas. I have a few I stamp with once a month but I would like to find a few to just trade ideas.

I don't know if this is something that we want to do, but I thought that I would throw it "out there" and see what everyone thinks.
I have two SAB sets and I already have and want to trade for something (don't know what) , and I was wondering if there would be any interest in us bringing stuff either for sale or trade (one or two sets...you know, nothing massive in scale) so that if you have something I want, and I have something you want, we might do so shopping. Is this something that we want to stay away from at our shoebox swaps?
Ladies... quick question. Would anyone object if I pre-stamp the main image of my card??? I am having issues with what to make and the only thing I can think of is time-consuming.... and I am trying to get better at that!! The card involves multiple stampings using a stamp-a-ma-jig, plus watercoloring. If you guys would rather me not stamp it, I can try and make it easier. I included the link in case you are interested. I know that if I stamp the flowers once it would still look nice, I just think it loses it's overall flare.
Kelly,
In my opinion, you can set up your project however you want...and if that includes pre-stamping, that's fine. I'm looking forward to seeing you (and everyone else too) on Saturday.
Ladies, I just wanted to confirm, 1-4 on Saturday at my house. This time seemed to work for everyone at the recent swaps. You are welcome to arrive early or stay late. My day will be devoted to stamping
By the way I PMd directions to everyone, I didn't give them from McDonnell and 270, since it's a little easier from the Lindbergh side.

I personally ALWAYS need kids bday cards, so I will try to gear mine for that for the swap. If I can't come up with a great kids card, I will bring one for you to give to him.
Kelly, I LOVE the idea of you stamping for us, BECAUSE I love that card too.
Well, it looks like I have to back out of Saturday unfortunately. This week has been WAY overbooked and my husband has made some plans for Saturday, so I have to skip.
I was wondering, however, and feel free to say no, but I'm willing to get the swap and stuff all together and send it with Beth, if she wouldn't mind and very sweetly ask her if she'd want to make a card for me at the stations. Let me know what you think and I'll pm Beth.
Sorry that I can't be there. I've not been since November and I miss it! Better luck next month!

Gals I just had to pm Melanie, telling her we are going to need to go to Columbia and spend the weekend with son and new dil. I will offer my house for next month, and my apology for missing this month.
Sorry Dianna and Heather can't make it. We are at 8 for the swaps, since Heather is sending hers. I have my idea but haven't put it together yet. See the rest of you on Saturday.
