I'm IN! Amy is feeling better already (oh the wonders of pencillin!) and mom is feeling ok enough to manage on her own for a couple hours. WOOHOO!!!! After the last two stress-filled days...I am ready for some fun and relaxation.
YIPEE! Glad to hear everything is beginning to get back to normal...sort of.
Ladies, the meet was a blast. Thanks for making my first meet go so smoothly. I promise to cut my cardstock next month!!
Melissa thanks for hosting and for all the snacks. I need to talk to you about getting that aviation paper. I brought the card home and my husband immediately said "You need to make more of those so I can send them out to my friends" (one's a pilot also). Also I think I remember someone saying the biplane was from Hero Arts, am I right? I need to keep an eye out for that. Thank you again.

Kelly, it was so nice to meet you and I'm glad we didn't "scare" you!
Melissa, thanks for hosting! It was a great time and we are a talented bunch, that's for sure!
Melissa and Dee, please PM your email addys so I can send you that excel file. Kelly, I'm getting ready to send it to you now.
Thanks again everyone...so much fun!
Kelly welcome to our group. What a nice addition you are to the group. Already looking forward to next month. It was so much fun learning new things and trying new items. That was my first experience with the Color Spritzer and I have to admit, I really like how it turned out with the paper crumbling . Moral of this meeting, you can teach a woman in menopause new tricks. Notice I shied away from the old dog saying  .
Thanks also to our host Melissa, for opening up her home for us, and feeding us so well while we worked so diligently.

Here is the website for the place I ordered my biplane stamp from.
Unfortunately, they don't seem to be selling that exact stamp anymore.
They still have the best variety of airplane stamps that I've found, and they do sell several other biplane stamps.
The background paper is an old sectional chart. You can buy current sectionals from that same company, if you are in a hurry. Otherwise, I'll make sure my husband doesn't throw any of his out, and I'll bring them the next time.
Thanks also to our host Melissa, for opening up her home for us, and feeding us so well while we worked so diligently.
I'm glad everyone had a good time on Saturday. I'd be happy to host again sometime in the future.
My mother would be appalled at the meager amount of food that I provided for such a hard working group. So, I'm happy that everyone enjoyed the snack mix and cookies.

Oh that is too funny! Tell her we are too busy stampin' to eat! The turtle chex mix and home-baked cookies were delicious and just perfect!
I can wait until the next meeting for the paper. I didn't think the hubby would get so excited over a card, so I didn't pick up paper while I was there. At least this way I can buy more stamps...

yes, but for me its only a 3 hour travel- I was at Regionals and I travel to St Louis for various things during the year. Why not a pajama crop sometime? just my thought- if those of us who live so far come all the time to St Louis, it's just as fun for those of you there to come to a new place too!
I cant wait to hear the schedule. I do know that Sundays are totally out for me but other days are great! g

To date, Gwen, we have been meeting on Saturdays from 1-4 p.m. If you ever want to attend, you should have plenty of time to drive up on a Saturday and make it home before it gets too late.
I live in South City and work in Creve Coeur, willing to travel just about anyplace, though.
I live in Maryland Heights really close to Creve Coeur! So far I've attended Shoebox Swaps with this group in St. Peters & Hazelwood, but I'm getting ready to attend one in April in Southern California. Now THAT'S a long way to go for 10 cards...lol (so excited about that trip I can hardly stand it)
LOL Lynn you have a while to wait for your trip!! I don't think I would be able to stand it!!
BTW Dee after using your Crop-a-dile, I HAD to get one. I annoyed the hubby this past weekend punching holes for ribbon with my hammer set. Yikes... 20 holes, and he had a headache to begin with! I showed him the new device and I think for the first time he was really happy with something I bought for stamping/scraping.
Any news on the Feb get-to-gether?

At the January stamping Theresa volunteered for February, but I don't think she is on SCS. I am not sure if anyone here is in contact with her...? I would be willing for April (unless w/ Stampede, people don't want to meet) or May. My kitchen is still a mess, as is my house. And hopefully by then the disaster is better.
I am hoping we get together in Feb, I look forward to meeting more SCSers and learning more!!

Hi! Kelly, Since I am never available to make it to any of the stamping STL events that ya'll have been having I hope everyone makes it to the stampede. I know I will be there, well I need to be there since I am one of the co-coordinators. LOL Looking forward to meeting everyone in April. We have some fun stuff planned for the stampede.

Melanie, I haven't heard anything about Theresa and February. If you are still willing to host in February... I would love to join you. I don't want to step on any toes, but I would love to get together again before the huge Stampede to practice!! And this way there is a date kinda set...
Autumn, I am signed up (I still have to send in my form though) and am looking forward to meeting everyone in April!! I just wondered how many people will want to go to another swap the same month (me, I would love to go to one every weekend if I could!).

Melissa, have you been in touch with Teresa about February? I know she isn't on SCS on a lot. I don't have her number or I would call her and get the scoop.

Kelly, I'm like you I would go to one every weekend too if I could. My DH works the weekends so that kinda limits the fun. Kiddo is only four so we craft together on the weekends, he's getting good at stamping. LOL DH is however, taking off the weekend of the Stampede.

I just sent Theresa some email. Hopefully I'll hear from her soon.
Now I'm bummed, I just realized I won't be able to make it in February or March. Not that I expect to get any sympathy since we will be in Florence the weekend of Feb. 17, and skiing in Wisconsin the weekend of Feb 24 and in Utah the weekend of Mar. 17. ;)
I was wishy-washy about going to the Stampede, but since I'll be having withdrawl by then, I'm definitely going.
Ladies,
My house (or my mom's if we need more room) is available either for February or March, so I'll wait to hear if Theresa can do February. Was there a tentative date? I can do the 17th or 24th. Looking forward to seeing everyone whereever we meet.

I got email from Theresa. She said she was still willing and able to host the February shoebox swap on February 17th from 1-4.
I can't remember Theresa's splitcoast user's name, so as soon as I get that, I'll post it and if you are interested in attending, you can PM her. She said she would then send directions to those attending.

I'm pretty sure it is Theresa Marie. Thanks, Melissa.
I'm penciled in. My hubby's Gma is in the ICU, but hopefully things won't get worse for her. We're going to see her this weekend, so that I can be free next weekend, but if things take a bad turn I will have to bail. We're all praying she gets better!

Hi Ladies! I am so not good at this computer thing- It frightens me! I am looking forward to hosting the Saturday, February 17 Shoebox swap from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at my home and looking forward to creating some great cards that you all are bringing! I am getting the items ready for my project which will be a milk carton! They are sooo cute and easy! PM me and I will forward directions to my house in St. Charles! I will let everyone know the final count by Thursday if that is ok- I usually cut supplies for 10 and see what happens! Girls come on over for a great afternoon of Stampin' and Laughin'!
Thanks Ladies- Theresa Marie!
I have a lady that PMed me about craft stores in STL. She is taking classes near Manchester and 270. Help me out...
Michaels at 270/Manchester.
Hobby Lobby at 70 and Cave Springs
Archivers at Mills Mall
The Red Lead (on Manchester too I think, east of 270)
I know there is another store on Manchester (west of 270) but can't remember the name.... something Memories?
any place else that I'm missing? is there any cool place in downtown St. Charles anymore now that the stamp store closed??
There is Memories Unlimited on Manchester west of 270. and a great stamp store in Kirkwood ( my fav ) the Ink Spot of Natalie. Julie is awesome
These are the two I know that are close to each other.

I love Red Lead, it is in Rock Hill (I think) on Machester. FANTASTIC selection of paper, stamps and stuff. Lots of charms and embelishments. Fun, fun, fun.
I can't remember the name of the place west of 270, it has good paper, not a lot of stampin stuff. Definitely a scrapbook store.
