Shaker Card

by Beate Johns

This is a fun and easy way to shake things up a little :)

Supplies

image

Cardstock frame (just use your paper cutter or punches to make it)

Acetate
Window sheet or other acetate such as overhead transparencies, a little bit (1/8") smaller then your frame

Light colored piece of cardstock the same size as the window sheet, to stamp your image on

Small beads, glitter, punchouts or sand for the shaker mix

Mounting tape

Mono Adhesive

Step By Step

Step 1

Step 1.
Use the Mono Adhesive to tape the acetate onto the back of your cardstock frame.

Step 2

Step 2.
Place Mounting tape all around your window. Make sure you have no gaps so the mix can't get out of the shaker later.

Step 3

Step 3.
Stamp your image on the light colored cardstock. Color and embellish. You can also stamp your main card now.

Step 4

Step 4.
Peel the extra layer off the mounting tape.

Step 5

Step 5.
Add your shaker filling.

Step 6

Step 6.
Tape the stamped cardstock piece over the shaker box, image face down.

Step 7

Step 7.
Tape your shaker box on top of your cardfront.

Step 8

Step 8.
Finish your card!

Variations

Coluzzle it
Try using your coluzzle to make round and oval windows.

Punch it
Use punches to create a differently-shaped window.

Shaker boxes

More shaker
