Linewash

Define a loose watercolor wash with intentional linework to bring form and focus.

Supplies

  • Loose watercolor or printed image

  • Gel pen

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Start with a watercolor book image or a loose watercolor of your own,

  2. Step 2

    Add lines as desired with a gel pen.

  3. Step 3

    Add stippling or crosshatching to shade.

  4. Step 4

    Finish the drawing and use on a card or frame.
