Monochrome Watercolor

Use a single family of watercolor for cards with a big impact.

Supplies

  • Watercolor

  • Watercolor paper

  • Dies

  • Paintbrush

  • Water

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Die cut any small shapes and paint them with clean water.

  2. Step 2

    While the paper is still wet, add pigments from a single color family to each piece, starting with the lightest shade. Mix warm and cool colors from any single color family.

  3. Step 3

    Continue until all the pieces are painted and shaded.

  4. Step 4

    Allow to dry, and put the finished pieces on a card
