Cup Card

Supplies

Small cup

Cardstock quarter sheet for template

Vellum cardstock, quarter sheet

Sponge

Water-based inkpads in fruity colors

Paper cutter with scoring blade

Sticky Strip or other double-sided, extra-tacky tape

Micro beads

Mini glue dots

Straw and umbrella, optional


Step By Step

Step 1

Step 1.
Make a re-usable template by tracing a small cup onto cardstock. Use a paper cutter for straight edges.


Step 2

Step 2.
Trace template onto vellum cardstock, and then cut shape.


Step 3

Step 3.
Sponge ink onto cup shape.


Step 4

Step 4.
Lay cup shape on paper cutter, and score 1/8" from the edge.


Step 5

Repeat on opposite side.


Step 6

Step 6.
Cut off the top pointy corners.


Step 7

Step 7.
Apply sticky strip to top edge of cup.


Step 8

Step 8.
Dredge in micro beads.


Step 9

Step 9.
Apply several mini glue dots along each folded edge of your cup, making sure they don't overlap the edge.


Step 10

Step 10.
Adhere left side of cup to the background you've created for your card. Bend the cup slightly before adhering the right side to the card.


Step 11

Step 11.
Try using glue dots to add a drink umbrella and straw to the cup. Cut the umbrella in half first.

Finished card.
