Hello everyone, I am trying to move around the site and try to get to know some other carders. I am a stampin up demonstrator for one year now but I don't really know anyone I started selling because our demonstrator quit and I knew I could sell to the current group that she had. It has worked well I do workshops and I have put the money back into my craft and have an awesome workshop now. Now I want to get better and designing my own cards so I am not always CASEing. I am a Pampered Chef consultant and have done that for 11 years earned trips etc., But I have ALWAYS loved paper and paper crafts. So this is a neat fit for me. Now I want to push the envelope and challenge myself. Stampin up is different than Pampered Chef which is good but I do fell all alone and not a part of a group at all so I thought I would try and connect here for some learning and connecting!! Hope this works. I have a couple cards in my gallery that I have done myself and they aren't bad but I want to be so much better and I know its just putting in the time.

Those ranks change as you add more posts. Here's a thread that explains it: What is a CARDSTOCK COLLECTOR??? by Sereikastamper at Splitcoaststampers

I'm wondering what "subbing" means on my Get it Together event. I have a couple ladies that posted that and I have no clue what they mean. I don't think it means the same thing it does in teacher lingo LOL (substitute teacher)

TIA

Hi Joanne!

"Subbing" indicates that the person is just making a post within the thread in order to receive email updates when new posts are added.

An extra tip for "subbers: The same thing is accomplished by
  • clicking on the "Thread Tools" button in your post #1
  • then clicking on 'Subscribe'
Either way, someone is interested in watching your thread develop. ;)

So glad I looked this up. Could not figure out "DP" to save my life. I knew the P was for paper, but... I feel so much better now. Phew.

This is a very handy list. Sometimes when I try to decode some of them myself, it makes for very strange interpretations.

ETA used to mean Estimated Time of Arrival but that probably doesn't apply to SCS???
I'm sure there is some stamping meaning to it now!

It's still Estimated Time of Arrival for me.

Not a stamping meaning, but an electronic forum meaning. It means edited to add. Some threads are editable for various lengths of time here (I think always in swaps, a few minutes in other forums). It usually indicates an addition to a post, particularly when multiple replies follow or much time has passed between the original post and the addition of extra information.

Default Company Acronyms

There are so many stamping companies - we need a list just for that. Or trade names, like Tim Holt - TM, Simon Says Stamp - SSS, Sweet 'N' Simple - SNS, Top Dog Dies - TDD, Verve Stamps - VS, etc., etc.
