Oooopppss! I didn't know they were back!! I knocked... Waited...opened the door and saw the hamster cage was moved! So I called out. Got an answer so dropped the key on the table and left.
Yup it has been a Lynn day! I did an online order to pick up at the store so no shipping charges. The bottoms were fine but the top was small! Eeekk.. I ordered the right size... The package had the right size.. The top was 2sizes smaller!
I did manage to get my protein powder... When I time shift I can't eat solids so I drink protein shakes. By this time I am exhausted so I stopped to get a salad. My friend called but the car answered. Had to call her back once my order was ready.
Home and exhausted.
I am being good! So on bad days I get about 2500 steps. I am trying to get to my good day goal of 5000... So far I am at 4000. But time seems to be getting away from me. I just had lunch and its 10:30!
Thirty years ago this week, the www (world wide web) was proposed. Tim Berniers Lee proposed a 'large hypertext database with typed links'. For this week, I am challenging you to feature three items that start with 'w' for your card/project. I do not have a sample for you yet, but hopefully later today.

Just been trying to book our flights for the autumn, our bank blocked the payment as they wanted to send a one off code to our phones, unfortunately they they sent phone numbers we have never had, anyway we emailed all the details to our son who has now booked them for us, he was at work trying to book flights so was quite stressed.
We always leave cash with him so he has the money to pay for them but Steve jut sent him a message telling the money we left is all fake, LOL
Not a bad day! I managed to get groceries before the storm. Grumpy called and we went for fish n chips for him.. Steak and ale pie and chips for me. I am OK with the pub pie if I only eat the crust on the top even though it has gluten. We had a good chat and I hope I helped with good advice.
We are off to the hospital this morning, while we were trying last night to book our flights, talking to our son etc we had a call from the medical translator, apparently the hospital called her to say steve has to be there at 12.15 this to see the dermatologist, our doctor sent a photo of a sore behind his ear, his glasses rubbed and taking blood thinners it takes ages to heal.
It’s getting better but she insisted he goes, it’s an hours drive away so that’s our plans for today scuppered.
Happy Friday everyone. Jan, maybe the dermatologist just wants to remove it to be on the safe side. Sometimes it's the best action.
Ina, I can do w...I have lots of things with wings and I know sis Vicki does too LOL. Another one to add to my list. Great challenge and thank you.
I've had a shocking headache all day but it's easing slightly. I was hoping to create but I think that it will have to wait another couple of days unless I feel like it later. I feel I've wasted a day.
Have fun.

Sis Vicki I’m so behind with challenges too and the list is getting bigger. I shall get to them when I can.
I seem to be behind with everything at present and need to get some order back into my life. We are drowning in paperwork in our study, we haven’t thought about our trip and have heaps to do on that, I have bills to pay and so on it goes. My motivation is zilch.
Today has been a wipe off with my headache and bed can’t come quick enough.
Tomorrow I shall start afresh lol. It’s poppets day and that always brings me joy...forget the paperwork..lol.
Have fun everyone

Remember Sis Jayne ...no job is finished till the paperwork is done. That’s probably what’s causing your headache. Yes the poppet always being you joy as I’m sure you do them as well.
Sis FayeLynn Much Mahalo again !!! You helped me get my mojo running!!
Faye, I love your card. I think Winnie would have enjoyed being with us today. We took 2 grandsons to an old Iroquois village and learned about maple syrup production in the past and today. We all had maple syrup taffy, which I am sure Winnie would have loved, even though it wasn't 'hunney'.

Oh oh I miss going to the sugar shack! In Québec it was different. You go with the kids during the day .. Horse drawn sleigh ride.. Play.. Hot taffy on snow.. Then you go inside the big hall. You did not have a table to yourself. They were really long tables. You could have pancakes and eggs and specially cured bacon. There was another course which I think had a ton of different pickled items.. I know dessert was a small donut swimming in maple syrup.
The adults would go for dinner.. Dancing and live music.
Yup it has been a long time since I have done this.. I would have to research a place these days.
The lake where we fish has a maple sugar shack and present a program every year. I'm thinking that may have taken place this past week as the conservation center parking lot was filled!

Now I know what you mean with the maple sugaring, I love it on pancakes but not for breakfast, we sometimes share a stack on a pancake house for lunch, I also like blueberry Pancakes, that’s joeys favourite.
Wasn’t good news at the hospital, it is a type of skin cancer but one that stays on the surface of the skin, not melanoma thank goodness, it was still a shock but while we were there he checked a mole on his back and a few other things, all fine, he has to go for day surgery before the end of June, we explained steve has cardiology tests, appointments etc in July and the boys are coming too.
A bit complicated as he has to go for injections before as he takes blood thinners, we didn’t get home until 3.45pm, left home at 9am! when we got there the place was packed, he had two surgeries going, we didn’t realise we were on the second one, the emergency list, so we sat for four hours waiting to be seen. He has started a new thing where the doctor sends a photo for him so he can decided if it’s urgent or not. He was really good though, one woman we met had her mole cut off her bottom, of all places, while she was there to save her going back.
Oh Jan, I am so sorry to read that. Skin cancers, although not as serious as melanoma, are still a real concern and do require treatment. More complications in your lives. I pray that it will all get worked out as efficiently as possible. Life certainly does not get easier as we get older, does it? My prayers go with you.

Jan, so sorry to hear that it was a skin cancer but glad it wasn’t melanoma. My hubby has a skin cancer cut off somewhere on his body at least every 2-3 years. Melanoma runs in his family. Both his father and brother had melanoma. He’s just had one cut off his leg and had a very bad one near his eye a few years ago. His skin is shocking and comes from his Scottish ancestry.
We go for skin checks every 6 months but have to living here. Our Dr is amazing and photographs the bad ones and if he doesn’t like them, off they come. There’s always someone we know having cancers cut off their body or using the cream on their faces...forgotten the name of it but it’s amazing. It seems to be part of life here. Make sure Steve...and you...have regular checks. Our Dr says not having grown up here and not having been out in the sun when young can help.
Kathy, the Lake looks beautiful where you go fishing.
Happy Sunday everyone.

Thanks Jayne, he seems a really good guy, the interpreter was singing his praises, she’s amazing, she is Greek but speaks fluent, English, German, Spanish, Dutch, well you name it, she can speak it, thank goodness she went with us as he spoke very little English, our problem not his but I got the gist of it, Steve always thinks positive so was visibly shocked when he said it was cancer but in his normal way he gets on and deals with it.
Jan, I forgot to say that I wouldn’t want a mole removed from my bum either lol. It would be painful.
Our dermatologist tells us how many melanoma he’s found since our last visit and then shows us photos. It scares the living daylights out of me. We are constantly checking our spots. Hubby seems to know what to look out for. I’m more complacent. When we were on holiday last year he showed me the one on his leg and I said, oh it’s nothing. Well it turned out to be a pre melanoma one...eek. I now will keep quiet.
I’ve made a card today as I need an anniversary card. Well it was looking ok in til I added wink of Stella and then ink bled and before I knew it I had splodges on it. So frustrating. I never seem to be able to make a card without getting some ink on it where it’s not supposed to be. I’ve now redone the panel and covered up the ink splodges as best I can. It looks ok. No wonder I don’t get much creating done. I seem to spend more time fixing my mistakes lol.
Happy day

Ina, I haven’t forgotten that it’s my turn to post the challenge this week. We are heading down south tomorrow to visit my MIL for a couple of days but I will be back on Thursday and to post the challenge. I’ll pop online when I can in the meantime.
I’ve also got a list of challenges still to do for this thread. I need a week just crafting lol.

Jayne I do that all the time, spoil the card at the last moment, I did that last week with a Christmas card, it looked plain so I tried to put glitter glue on the writing, splodged it so wiped it, made it worse so I used some of that spray glitter to cover the glue marks, let’s say I ended up throwing it away, LOL.
I’m just making cards regardless, mainly Christmas cards, using paper I’ve had years, I know from September and most likely for a year we will be backwards and forwards to the uk, mainly, looking after Gs, DIL has a years course and he doesn’t have full time daycare, we are sharing with her Mum who lives in Poland! It would probably be cheaper for us to pay the extra daycare if they could get him in as it will cost keep paying for flights or ferries! The things we do for our kids!!!
