Here's my VERY FIRST paper piercing card! What a great challenge that was! I loved this technique and I definitely see myself doing it again. I added a 3-D touch with foam stickies. Thank you DEA!!!!! Once again, the photo does no justice to the real thing.
Thank you Kathy! I am looking forward to more piecing projects, its a technique I would like to master! You ladies are teaching me so much. I have been wanting to get put of my basic level and go above my skill level!
I am so glad you like it as a technique, your card turned out fabulous. I know the technique can be time consuming so what I do is cut up images when I have a few minutes here and there. I keep all the pieces in bags and grab the bags when I have time to colour and create.

I found your three cards for the first challenge. They aren't showing up with the new keyword yet, but if you just changed them, it may take a while.
ATTENTION LADIES: For those of you who missed the ealier announcement, we have changed the keywords to remove the hyphen (dash). So if you could edit your cards for the first challenge and change your keyword to YCDI1 it would be greatly appreciated. The keyword for Dea's paper piecing challenge is YCDI2. Thank you! I think we have it all straight now!!

I read out loud for an hour, then I work on exercises for two hours then I read out loud or another hour then I go back to the written exercises. I have been doing this for seven months and I have eight more months to go. I am required to complete a minimum of twenty hours of homework a week. These averages were made for a young mind, I am almost fifty and learning a new language just so I can keep my job for another eleven years at which time I can consider retiring....whaaaaaaaa

Yesterday I changed the keywords for the first challenge on each card I created for that challenge to YCDI1 (edited to remove the dash) but none of them are showing up in the YCDI1 gallery. No sense in worrying about it; at least, the cards are still in my own gallery and not "lost!"

I;m not sure why they aren't there. I clicked on the keyword in your photo and it goes to the right gallery, but your card isn't in it. Maybe it's taking a little longer to change over....I will keep checking on it.
I am logging off early. Very sleepy and I have a Dr. appt in the morning, if it doesn't snow too bad. We are to get snow overnight tonight. I will check the threads tomorrow for cards and points! Have a good night.
WOW! Long day, going to relax while the kiddos watch a movie. I need to work on a sympathy card for my boss' mother, she's not going to make it much longer. Enjoy your night ladies.
French like most languages does not translate literally. It says I do not speak the French. Which is true for me as well I can read and write way more than I can speak. 80% of my lessons are on grammar the French language is very strong and structurally sound if you speak proper French. All that to say yes it says what the translator provided.
We got three to four inches of snow overnight. It had stopped by the time I got up at 7:30. I cleaned off my car and shoveled the bottom of the driveway after the plow went through. He tends to plow the bottom closed and makes it harder for me to pull out onto the road. So I am good to go! Dr. appt. at 10:45. Usually only takes 25 minutes to get there and parked, but I'm leaving at 9:45 just to make sure! And they may not be busy if some cancelled due to snow! Also get A DD coffee when I go out! YAYAYAYAY
MORE rain & fog today!! They say we may get snow tomorrow night into Friday Morning. With the ground as wet as it is, I don't think it will stick well - DRAT!!

Good afternoon ladies! It's lunch time here in the Rockies. The weather is warming up, we'll be walking around in shorts and sweat shirts soon! HAHA - yes, we do that here. My mind is obsessing over the challenges I want to work on this week, my poor table is at home covered with the remnants of our YCDI challenge. (Which, btw, I gave that card to my office manager who cried over it, that was a sentimental feeling!).
Glad to see I am one of many of us with 7 points! Is there a drawing today? I'm a tad eager to see who the winner is!
Yes there is to be a draw today. I am glad your office manager liked the card. It was beautiful. I can't wait to see what you do with this weeks challenge.
