Well, I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it tends to be laziness! :) I usually mark my trades as "pending" until I have it in hand, and by then, a week or so has gone by and I don't bother...

I've seen some really cute examples of stamping backgrounds on the flower (I've done French Script, Canvas, and Linen) -- maybe that could help change it to a color that is less "unlikeable!"

Mine works for Kodak and is always bringing things home that the thinks are "stampable." My latest gifts were cardboard slide mounts and 4 x 10 panoramic frames. :)

We just made up a basket for yesterday and included chocolate chip cookies, a 6 pack of petunias for planting, and cards from dd and dh/me. There's also a PTA luncheon tomorrow!

I've used it for both crayon and Versamark resist and had it work just fine (DH works for Kodak so we have a TON of it!). I've only used classic ink. HTH!

The instructions didn't seem very clear to me when I first got mine; are you pushing down until you hear a big "pop?" Increasing the tension like the previous poster mentioned may help as well.
