Hello to all my HYCCT friends - and hello to those who will become friends through the challenges! I'm so looking forward to this. I have been absent from SCS for so long - life got in the way, in some hard ways but also in some great ways. I'm happy to have the opportunity to both reconnect & get my mojo back.
Cindy just posted a meatball recipe in the recipe thread - takes me right back to the church I went to growing up - these were a staple of the church pot lucks and SO good - if you haven't had these and are freaked out by the grape jelly - let me tell you what - these will be gone in ten seconds at your next event!
Lydia If I wanted To subscribe to email instant email notification. In the Your Control Panel And I go under the Edit Options. And under nether that it say Default Thread Subscription Mode And mind no email notification. Do I need change to instant email notification. I only wanted for the Falliday Fest Challenges. Not for the others challenge Is the possible? what else do I need change anything?
Linda, when you subscribe to a thread, you click on that in the drop down menu at the top of the thread. Then a little window comes up and asks you if you want e-mail notification....click that and you will receive email notifications for just the threads you want to have it....You don't have to go to a control panel at all.

Good morning all,
I was just checking out the recipe thread. I don't think I have ever used candied ginger on a recipe, I wonder if it's hard to find? Lots of good stuff going on over in that thread!

Our local natural foods store carries it in their bulk spices area.

Why are you nervous? Don't be nervous, it's all fun!
Maybe just anticipation "nervous"! That's how I feel...all excited and full of wonder...about the projects and about whether I can get to Yetti status!! :p

Can we CASE someone's card? Not something identical to it... I mean someone's card in a gallery or blog, not CASE some other person's Falliday card.
CASE away...just be sure to try to give credit where you can. I often find inspiration from other artists, cards in the gallery or Pinterest.
Afterall, imitation is the best form of flattery (or so they say). ;)

I tried Luvtostampstampstamp's 'Taste of Home Pumpkin Pecan Bread' recipe. It came at just the right time since I rescued 3 pumpkins that had been used as vases at a wedding. (They looked wonderful on the tables filled with flowers.) The bread was marvellous and even though she says she doesn't make the caramel glaze you really have to. It is to die for!
Maybe we should have a recipe challenge. The person gaining the most weight from making the recipes wins. :-)
Heeey y'all! I'm finally popping over here to say hi! I can't wait to read the challenges and see everyone's cards! I'm not sure I'll have many (any?) of my own, daughter's birthday party Sunday, Yom Kippur Wednesday, and the big one - we are getting ready to move from Houston to Iowa in a couple of months! But I'm still really excited to see what it's all about!

Here to stay hello...I have a cold (hoping it will take care of the rest of the year!), so not sure if I'll be able to keep up. Haha! I doubt that I could keep up even if I felt great! DTGD16 was a huge challenge...I was in awe of those who could complete everything! I'll try to keep in mind the objective is to have fun!
PLUS I have so many projects for Christmas to finish! Eeeew!

Oh my Ann, that recipe is sooooo good! I don't often repeat recipes ever, but that one gets made several times every fall. I don't ever do the glaze b/c I love it just plain!!! And it's less messy for all those pieces I snitch! :p

I am putting the music on and attempting to clear my desk..wish me luck!
Ja, I need to do a bit of that too after I get my planner pages decked out for the new week! (I don't do this every week by any means, but this week is party week for my wee one turning one AND it's Falliday, so reason to make things festive on my pages!!)

Count me in, as well. The rains have arrived and driven me inside...can't wait to explore the challenges, dip my fingers in ink and take those fussy scissors out.
Vero!

uuuggghhh...I am going to be late starting...I am stuffing my son and his GF tomorrow and getting STUFFED on Monday...Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada
Well, I think I'm ready, too!. I haven't participated in a swap or challenge in over a year - since we sold our house and moved in to senior apartment community. I spent the past two days going through my room and finding out where I put everything when we moved in last Aug! I got rid of a lot of stuff for the move, but boy, do I still have a ton of things crammed in my little room! Can't wait to start using them,
