I'm getting way ahead of myself here, since I haven't finished any cards yet (in progress, just none done), but I'm trying to find the info about where we can send the cards. Maybe it just hasn't been posted yet. Or is it right in front of my face and I am just missing it?
The four card drives are associated with challenges, so you will see them when you see them!

ETA: ok, I notice that someone else did ask about it and maybe none of the cards have been associated with a card drive yet(?)

You laugh it up but they turned out...um interesting and some are cute. We were having a debate what the white ones could be lol. I will add my pictures of them to my gallery if you want to see lol.

For help with the nugget cake tutorial: I made a version of this for a church Christmas fair last year. I cut cardboard boxes into 1 inch strips and bent them, hot glued them, to make my outer circles, wrapped around a Styrofoam ball, cut to a 1 inch slice like a disc, and decreasing dimensions of circles of florist's oasis (that green stuff). The green stuff crumbles so my circles between layers were very important! Use whatever you have in decreasing circles and as long as you support each tier it should work.

Things went from bad to worse with the folks from the shop where I have (until tomorrow ) my card rack. First time I've had to speak to a police officer in regards to an intimidation threat reported against a friend (a fellow vendor) ...yeah, I think you could say that things have gotten ugly. Too much drama for me. On a positive note my sweet DD helped me TREMENDOUSLY with the digital scrapbook for my brother's birthday so tomorrow I am free to stamp away.eta-no charges were filed against my friend. Thankful for small town policemen who are willing to listen and assess things fairly. I'm so sad and sick about the whole situation and feel more pity than ill will towards the store owner who just burned a lot of bridges and wrecked not only a viable business but several relationships along the way
That sounds awful Gail. I can only imagine how you are feeling. Especially in a small town. Eeep.

And we're off and running! Yay!! Birthday cards! And for Hospice! I have tears in my eyes thinking of that dear man wanting another card. Hospice is front and center on my mind as we just had a very dear person in our small town community pass away after hospice care for under a week. :(
Happy creating today! I had a bit of time before I went to bed last night and was able to get my pumpkin box done. Today, NUGGETS!

Holy cow, Gail! This sounds crazy! I'm sorry you had to deal with this. I agree - too much drama for retail. Wow!

Off to create some cards. No tutorial today? Boo Hoo. I'm a tutorial fan! I appreciate those ladies who take time to not only create a project, but then to record it for me to watch! Morning everyone! You guys are flying!! I only have one card done as of yet, but hopefully I can get 3 or 4 done today in the midst of my busy-ness. Oh, and I must buy nuggets... even if I don't do the tutorial!! ;)
LOVE the card drive today. My Mom was under Hospice care at her home for about 7 months and the very day that the "in-patient" Hospice House opened in our community was the day my Mom needed to be admitted. We spent a week there with her until she died and I cannot say enough about the love and care we received from the staff. What a wonderful way to pay it forward by sending birthday cards!!
For the card drives-- when the cards are sent, do we leave them blank or write a generic message inside? Packaged with an envelope in a clear envelope?

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to day 3 of our very first Falliday Fest!
Hope everyone is enjoying the challenges and creating cards for our card drives! We love creating cards & such ... and it's a great way to share the love of our craft by sharing these creations with the card drives! {{{heart}}}
No worries....I've been in the same boat a few times...there is A LOT to read! I can't tell you how many times I've almost posted a ?!! Then I go read a post again x10 and it finally all sinks in. :rolleyes: I had just read the challenge so it was fresh in my mind! :p

But here I am...and I have a question...
May I send more than the challenge birthday card to this donation center? I have birthday cards I've made with no purpose other than donation and since I was expecting to send about 40 cards to Texas may I instead send some extras to this place and the next donation places?

I think so! Somewhere I read that they take donations of birthday cards throughout the year.

My mom's hospice nurses were such a help! I especially appreciated that they didn't overwhelm us with information up front but incrementally as Mom got closer to the end. They were also really good listeners and because they knew what to expect, knew what to ask. Nothing but good things to say about our hospice experience.
Looking out at the Fall colors from my stamp room and smiling! Motivated to send cards to the drives and that helps shift my focus from pain! And watching Halloween Baking Championship!! Now THAT's a way to get in the mood!!!!!

Hey! Three out of my four kids are sick, including my birthday girl. #sadness I think I am just going to go through my card stash and send to the card drive charities as they come up. I definitely have some birthday cards I can send.
