We have friends already here and a few trickling in later when it starts - may the best team win! I'm just here for the food, which dd is preparing it all and it looks/smells good!
Tomorrow Victoria is having her 4 wisdom teeth removed - think good thoughts for her :( We've gone through this with her sisters, and it's always hard to see the 'after'. They are half impacted one fully impacted and we're told that one will be difficult. I'm confident it will be fine though!
Maggie, thank you! They find out in mid-March. They get a letter. It either says thank you for coming its a: No, Yes, or you're on the waitlist. He said his audition went very well. It's just a matter of space. About 130 applicants and only 27 spots!!
Enjoy your day, all!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for DS.
You sound like my DD. That's what she said. She doesn't care about the game either. Just there for the food. We were having Super Bowl dinner at my DD's house. Unfortunately, their cable modem died about 7:30 so didn't see the rest of it there. I left there about 8:10. I had numbers in a S.B. pot, but don't think any of mine were winners.
My DGS had an issue with the Internet being out. I heard my DD ask him if he had any homework he needed to get done and he told her no. When they determined that their Internet was out he said that he had to scan something and submit it and it was due tonight!!!! Kids! Even if they are 20 years old. When I left, she was going to see what they could do to work that out.

Good Morning my Inky Friends! The cold has gone and the snow is melting as the temps were in the 40's over the weekend. We got to take the dogs for a walk--and they run--on the bike trail by us. Their mom's come home tomorrow and I am sure they are ready to be home too. We got a text yesterday that the trip was fantastic and they were watching the Super Bowl in their Ecuador hotel--the game was in Spanish, but the half-time show was in English! I have stamp class this morning!
I agree Jeanette - that is a wonderful hug :-).. well the new (transitional) pastor and wife have arrived, and suddenly a lot of the responsibilities and tasks are gone and I am facing change again, and I am a bit lost, to be honest! i have got some colouring done though :-)
Waving from a warm Down Under, where we have thunder storms predicted for overnight - hopefully with some good rain for the lawns and gardens.
Since Barb's been hoarding Smoochy lately, I thought I'd share this graphic...
Maxine, reclaiming ones time can be a daunting thing. I know you'll get in your groove again soon and have your time filled with a lot of amazing things. It's so good that you've been able to fill the void while your church waited for the new pastor... and I hope they appreciated you!!! I'll be praying for you to have joy in these days... hugs!

I'm glad that the new pastor has arrived.
I'm sure that you will be able to fill up those extra hours with no problem. It's good to have some free time.

Good Morning Friends! We have an icy crust on the roads this morning. I organized and swapped the Color Combo swap yesterday, so I will head to the Post Office this afternoon as I have two more errands to do too. I will finish organizing and packing for the retreat as I leave tomorrow morning. I am excited about it-I hope I actually get some projects done!
Maxine - how wonderful to have the new pastor and change can bring us to a loop now and again, but I have no doubt you will soar! Way to go on your coloring! I am LOVING my Ambassador-ship! Such an incredible honor ♥
Be careful out on the icy crust Barb! Oh how I wish I could crash your retreat!
Maggie, how are you doing this morning?
Good morning. Not much going on here. Work and school. I did get a little time to work on cards. I'm trying to finish up 2 Christmas card kits that I bought last year.

Shelly so glad you were able to be with your DIL and her family to support them in this sad event. Glad you're done with the PT. Good luck with the dog training.
Barb, have a great time at the retreat!
Jeanette, good to have you here - no trips planned?
Waving Hi to Maxine down under!
I'm a little annoyed with one of my instructors. Sent her an email about one of my assignments Monday night and have yet to hear back from her. I'm not impressed with her at all.

Maggie, how fun to work on those kits... you are so busy with work/school that I'm sure it's a nice break to create!
I've been home quite a bit lately... the next overnight trip isn't planned until the last week of February. However, I may leave in a split-second of notice if/when my cousin's son gets to her place. He's been serving in Afghanistan and is now in Georgia doing de-briefing. When he gets home on leave, if I can I'm going to go to see him/them... they are about 11-12 hours from me, so that will be overnight (maybe multiple nights).
Good Morning--we have an icy mess this morning on our driveway and the roads. I had planned to leave in an hour to drive 90 minutes to the retreat, but will wait a bit until it warms up and melts.................. I am so excited for the retreat and have lots and lots of projects packed up--a couple of swaps, a bunch of card kits and a dozen or so boxes of Paper Pumpkins! I think I can keep busy! Have a Terrific Thursday!

It is nice Jeanette. It keeps me sane.
I do hope you get to go see your cousin's son. Great to have him home.

Have a great time on the retreat Barb. Sounds like you are well prepared. Be careful on the drive.

Off to help the ESL family again. The company where the girls were working closed, they found s job right away, but would have to work 7 days each & every week.... so, they found a place that is 5-6 days a week.... I am helping with the online informational application they have to do.
Barb- I sure hope the roads are safe once you get on your way- sounds like a fantastic weekend!!!
Maxine- you are such a blessing to your church community! I am sure you are appreciated so much! Hope the new pastor works out well.
Maggie- stinks to have no response from the teacher- hope the address is correct, and hoping she did not have an urgent family issue or something.
Jeanette, wow- hope you get to go see your nephew while he is home on leave- how awesome is that!!!
Hope to stamp once I get back home from Alefesh’s : )
Happy Saturday Morning from Galentine Weekend at The Gather Guest House! The drive here Thursday morning was just fine--roads were wet but not slippery at all and I drove the speed limit the entire way. This retreat is so much fun--and I have been pretty productive! The house itself is so pretty and decorated so cute--plus we have also had great food every day! I have completed 6 or 7 Paper Pumpkins, 2 swaps and we did a shoe box swap with the 12 of us here. And, Sarah gave us each the Notes of Kindness card kit as a gift, and those are done too. There is a great quilt store right across the street, but I am staying away................... We are here until the middle of tomorrow afternoon, so more fun to be had! Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Wow! Sounds like tons of fun Barb! I hope you brought enough to keep you going. You've gotten a lot done already.

Good morning Stamp Addicts! Yes, it's cold down here too. It's says mid 40's, but with the wind blowing, it's feels like is low 30's. Yesterday there was sleet up North of here and maybe some wintry mix later today. I'm glad that I went to the grocery store on my way home from work yesterday so I don't have to go out today.
I have one project to finish up for school today. It's to create a timeline for one of my ancestors and write a report on it. We have to have a personal timeline and then an historical timeline during the same time period and then write a report about it. We can also add pictures. I chose to use my mother's father for my project. He was born before World War I and was in World War II, so that gave me a good historical timeline for him. I knew I had some photos on CD's for my family, so I spent a lot of time last night going through the CD's and transferring all those photos to a flash drive where it will be easier to get to them. I organized some, but need to work on that some more.
After I finish that up, I plan to get some work done on the house. I need to change bed linens, wash cat linen that I keep on the furniture, and do some organizing. I have nothing going on tomorrow, so I plan to leave steam cleaning the floors until next Saturday before the kids come over. I will dry mop them to get all the cat hair an litter, dust and dirt up.
Hopefully I'll have some time to get in my stamp room.
Shelly, I have the correct email address for her. I've emailed her previously. She's just not a very good instructor. Glad you're feeling up to helping your ESL people.
Waving Hi to the rest of the Addicts.

Good Morning SCS Friends! I had a fantastic time at the retreat. I did accomplish more than I thought as I only came home with one Paper Pumpkin box along with a few card kits unmade. I think my final count was over 150 cards, but many were PP kits, so they are easy to make and only minimal stamping on most of them! But, they are complete and will be donated to my local RMH. Sarah gave me the new SAB set Lasting Lily for making the most--love her as I love the set and it is on my wish list! We also played Bingo one night and I won a pack of the SAB foil! Now--I get to unpack all of the supplies I took and wait for the winter storm coming in tonight! Yes, more snow here--up to 7 inches. And, it is only early February! It kind of reminds me of the year we had over 100 total inches of snow--enough already!
We - DH and I - have a meeting today. We will be home by the time Brock gets home - barely! This seems to be the week of meetings for us, as one or the other and sometimes both of us have meetings every day. ;)
Yes-another snow day in Wisconsin, and it is for most of the state too! It is snow day #5 or 6 for most schools in our area, so I am sooooooo glad I am a retired teacher! Rebecca left for work more than an hour early and some roads have not been plowed yet--but she took my SUV, so it should be an okay drive. Me--I will spend the day in my stamp room--My Happy Place! Let It Snow!!!!!!!
Barb, tell it to stop. Use your authoritative teacher voice. Surely it will listen. ;) Seriously, I hope Rebecca is safe... and I know you'll find ways to enjoy your happy place!
She got to work about the same time as she would normally leave. Our road was not plowed, the next two were but then one not plowed. The freeway was snow-covered too, so a slow go. It is still snowing here and they said another couple of hours. The county plow came through our road not 5 minutes after she left, so we have a huge pile of snow at the bottom of our driveway--glad we have a guy plow us out!

Oh my... Barb, that sounds like it was a treacherous drive for Rebecca yesterday. I'm glad she made it safely! How's the weather today? I hope the roads will be clear for her!
Good Morning Friends.
We did get about 8 inches of snow and
I spent the entire day in my stamp room!
And--I plan to do the same today!
Have a great Hump Day!
