I've always believed that if you eat sensibly most of the time there's lots of leeway for indulging yourself now and again. We're good - a box of chocolates can last a couple of weeks, but I like my butter and cream .
Cunning ploy, DH is having a bath to relax now that he's met a big work deadline, so that should give me a bit of time to stay around chatting for a while.
That's my weakness - dairy. I don't eat a lot of sweet stuff.
Lydia you'd get a giggle out of the translated directions for my lunch today

I've never come across mingle as a direction in any cookery book, LOL. I can just imagine what my dad would make of it. He'd still be scratching his head wondering what it meant and the thing would have gone cold by the time he'd worked it out.
ETA he'd ignore the picture - you'd never know he'd been an engineer and a science teacher.

IT had what appeared to be a stick in it with a stirring motion swirl doodle. I heart asian translations on these things.

You eat healthy - you even like that whole wheat pasta!
I think I said I eat it, not that I like it, lol! ;) It's ok, and we have been doing it for probably 5 years now. I feel bad for reaching for anything else.

Good for you for tackling that project yourself! I hope it goes smoothly for you today.
Thanks. So far, the locking ring that holds the faucet stem is still corroded. I'll take a little sandpaper to it later and try again before dinner. Right now, I'm tired of messing with it.
As for tackling it myself, well, that was my dad's idea! Despite my being born half a century ago, my dad never subscribed to the "girls can't do it" theory.

Ha, yes. I had to learn how to change a tyre, charge the battery and dry the distributor cap before I was allowed to get behind the wheel of the car.
and luckily, my ankle is fine. I exercised for the first time today. Stretching was terrible. I have always been able to sit on the floor, put my feet together and flex my knees outwardly...to stretch.
But now...5 months later...it's all gone...esp. on the left side....so I need to do a little bit at a time...to get that flexibilty back.
but I ran a mile on the tread mill...did 30 sit ups ...and biked 1 mile on the stationary bike....
My diet part of this would have been better if my stamping friend from CO hadn't mailed me 2 loaves of bread...pumpkin and poppy seed. They were delicious!!! I had to have a small sliver of each! Wouldn't want her to feel bvad. And luckily, theyw ere mini loaves.
Left it overnight with a bit of cotton soaked in CLR. Could also be that I'm just not strong enough to pull the pin. My dad (who is ox strong at 72) will come over tomorrow if I can't get it today.
Hey Sabrina... Canada is part of the British Commonwealth... so not surprised about that cook book...
Fruit mince pies are basically dried fruit mix made into a soft sweet mixture with spices and thisngs and then into sweet pastry... instead of a biscuit (cookie) you would have a pie...

LOL! sounds like my dad, except it was change the tire, battery, and oil.
Tire, battery, oil for me, too. Also brake, radiator and windshield wiper fluids. And I had to learn to drive a stick from a stopped position on a hill before he let me get my license.
Now, I take my car in for oil change and tire rotation, buy a sealed battery and drive an automatic. But I can still check my car's oil and other fluid levels if I have to.
Yesterday someone mentioned about winners getting their addresses to Lydia by this week. I'm not sure if that was right, but Lydia's first post in the prize winners thread now says, "You must have your address to me no later than November 23rd at noon Central, or you will forfeit your prize." See that thread for instructions as we are supposed to email it to her, not pm.

I check my stuff too, but have everything done elsewhere, why should I do it, lol. Mine made me learn on stick too, "You learn to dive a stick, you can drive anything." I thought he was crazy, but I really am thankful now.
Crock pot roast and packaged noodles cooked in the broth.
I'm not much of a cook these days.
Too much work for two people, especially when one has an erratic school schedule and a picky palate.
