I have been lurking around here trying to figure out which one to get. I think that I have decided to get the crop-a-dile. Anyone know the cheapest place to get it?
I bought mine at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. So I think it makes it like $15.?? I love mine. I just uploaded a pic of the metal bucket that I was able to punch and set eyelets into. I think the image is still pending. But I have to tell you it cut through that metal bucket like butter. It's awesome!

I got mine about a week ago and I absolutely love it. I have 25 brown paper bag recipe books to do by next week and let me tell you this nifty tool has sped up my process by a lot. It makes doing the binding so much easier. Also, I've noticed that if you set your eyelets with a hammer and the eyelet setter it doesn't keep a perfect round shape and kind of closes in the hole a little bit so it's harder to get ribbon through it, with the crop-a-dile that is not the case, it stays perfect.
We had the Flybaby get-together at our house and StampinT brought with her a Crop-a-dile. We all liked it so much we bought all the ones at the local craft store!
Did you know that you can punch through pure tin with it??? Cool!!!
you can also set the mini eyelets with it! Those 1/16th inch ones that look so cute....just use cone shape head and the flat base. I tried it with the rounded base but it kinda squished it
I have been considering this one too! I am worried I won't know what to do with it once I get it. Does anyone know if there is a tutorial anywhere on it, or is it pretty easy to figure out?
I like the idea of one tool. The thought of hammer, setter, mat seems like a hassel to me.

It is pretty easy to figure out. It comes with easy to follow directions - just be sure to use the right side as up/down or your eyelet will get stuck on your crop-a-dile:o !
I'm going to be typing up some instructions with pictures for what base and top to use with what eyelets. I'll do it sometime soon ;) .
I wasted my money on the clickit thing....HATE IT! I think I will need to test out the crock before actually buying it....I do sorta like pounding my hammer....although the kids dont sleep through it ;)
I love my Crop-a-dile! I just got mine this weekend after seeing it at the scrapbookexpo. I should've thought to buy it at Michael's with the 40% coupon...Duh!?!

So glad I found this thread. Just got a Crop-a-Dial this morning. Took it out, read the instructions like 4 times and I'm still 'duh', I just chopped an eyelet in 1/2!?!?!? I'm a visual learner so I guess I need to see it used .
BTW the link to their site is Weronthenet.com, the link posted below is for something else! Krabearkub did you post your pics & instructions yet??? Your posts are always so helpful!
I am so not a *tool person* when it comes to stamping...but I just bought the Crop-A-Dile last week and I am absolutely loving it!!! I, too, bought it at Hobby Lobby with the 40% coupon. (Regular price was 24.99.) Definitely one of the best investments I've made in a while.

Bummer!
After much playing around I finally figured it out and now I'm a huge fan too. I hadn't seen it used but was tired of waking up the kiddos w/ pounding and the silent set is what attracted me to buying it.
I'm just like cjf&cjfsmommy--can't figure mine out, and usually I'm pretty good at it. So I need help, too. I will subscribe to this thread and hope to catch krabear's instructions, because I really want to use lots of eyelets now!
