Default Eyelet Setter

I'm sure the answer to my question is here somewhere, but I guess I'm not searching for the right thing. I just got the eyelet tool in today and was reading the instructions on how to use it, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Can anyone tell me where I can get some more detailed instructions on how to use it?

Could someone please tell me too. I've been fighting with that thing for weeks and still can't figure it out.

What kind of eyelet tool is it? like the silent setter? Or just the regular one you use with a hammer?

Not sure what you mean. I bought mine from SU. There was 2 tools in the package. i'm sure you have to use a hammer.

Default Eyelet setter

I'm not sure which one each of you have, but the one from SU I'm familiar with. You use the tool that has an circle opening at the end to punch your hole in your cardstock. You place the tool where you want the hole, and hit with a hammer. Then, once you have the hole, you place the eyelet through the hole in your cardstock, place your finger over the eyelet and turn the cardstock to the backside. Place your other tool with a slightly pointed end inside the opening on the backside, give it a couple of "I'm sorry" taps. It will spread the ends out some, securing to the paper.

Hope this is what you were wanting to know.

OK! Now I understand. I didn't realize you needed a hammer. I thought the directions were calling one of the two pieces a hammer, which was what was confusing me. Thanks! Now I can actually use all those eyelets I bought ;)
