Default Embossed cut out

O.K. I had never heard of this technique before today and the cards that have been posted are just beautiful. It looks pretty self explanatory BUT how do you get the nice rectangle look around the edge......do you draw a rectangle on your cardstock first before you start stamping and then stamp within that rectangle??

I'm sure it's probably really simple and I am making it sound complicated.

Thanks for any help.

I made the frame seperate and glued it on top of the cut out. This is the only card I have made with this technique but it was alot of fun!

I made a 1/2 inch mask all the way around my CS then stamped my images inside and embossed, I removed the mask after I cut out my images.

HTH
