I looked through my PM's and found she mentioned the name Mark. I'm pretty sure be she was talking about her husband but I'll wait to hear from others who may know.

I hope everyone is okay here.
I'm not even going to try and catch up. LOL
After the flu, I fell and cracked a couple of ribs under my right breast. You know, 2 days AFTER Bob left LOL... all about the timing don't you know. hehe
almost 6 weeks in and I can do pretty much do everything on my own again. Just not heavy lifting yet.
I'm back to crafting!

Oh Kelly, so sorry. I hope you had some help, even though it was not your hubby. No need to ca4ch up. We are all chugging along as usual, some better than others.
i'm busy makimg cards with pouches (to hold one small pure chocolate bunny) for all the kids who will be at church on Sunday, and also for 12 residents at the senior home. Making 45 in all, but I may have some left over.

Kelly how awful to have an accident when you are on your own, pleased to hear you are recovering enough to craft haha
we had torrential rain over night, woke us both us as it was thundering down on the roof, apparently it’s been the wettest March and now April has started off wet, it’s supposed to change from Friday, up to 20c, fingers crossed
Ooh Kelly sorry to hear that you had a fall. Take care. I can imagine how painful cracked ribs must be.
Happy Easter to you all.

I'm getting back into scrapbooking. Do any of you know if there is a link to page sketches on SCS, like we have for cards?
Never mind... I found them... over 300!!!
In the mean time, I'm off to hunt

Reason: cancel question
Happy Easter weekend everyone.
Kelly, I am glad to hear you are able to do some crafting again. What are you hunting? Rabbits?
After all the pouch cards I have made, I'm surprised to see I have not uploaded one to my gallery. It is an origami fold, which uses almost a whole sheet of dsp. 11 x 11 to be exact. I followed a tutorial by Karen Titus, found here. Thirteen were taken to the seniors' residence, and I am working on the rest for church tomorrow. Everyone under 18 years of age will get one. I will upload one of mine this evening.

Oh, I have to go look. Thanks for posting, Ina. I wondered what
Kelly was hunting, too.
happy Easter, everyone.
You girls are funny. LOL I was off to hunt for scrapbook page sketches. I found over 400 here on splitcoast then did a google search and found the one place I didn't think to look - Pinterest ::: palm to forehead :::
I have plenty to work with and permission to use my granddaughter's photos up to about age 5 on my channel.
I'll do the Scrap Our Stash challenge next Saturday. Today's video is all about WHERE to find those sketches lol

Happy Easter everyone. I missed everything but that is OK. My son went and spent the day with grandpa. His 9ther grandpa dies on this date in 2008. Maman birthday was the 14 but she also died in 2008. Not blood grandparent technically God parents. She was more of a om to me than my adoptive mom. OK off to try and wake up
Whew! I am home again. I was undecided as to whether I was going to attend the Easter dinner at my daughter's place. But in the end, I went. 13 adults, 8 kids, plus a teenage child minder (hired to keep the kids busy). Wow, what a spread. Ham, turkey and octopus, two kind of potatoes, vegetables, salads and a full table of deserts. Drinks were flowing, although I stuck with sparkly water. The party was a success. My DD booked a motel room for her half sister, but her husband decided they should have a hotel with a pool, so my daughter offered the motel room to me. I'm really glad the young couple with 2 girls under three did not end up there. My DD booked it because it was just down the street, maybe 1.5 kms from her place and across the street from the lake. I will say; the room was clean, but only a shower, not a tub to bathe 2 little kids in. Up a narrow indoor stairs, 2 double beds, but the fist one I tried had a really bad (and I am assuming) old matress. The other bed was tolerable, but low to the ground, suitable for kids. I was not sleeping well and did not realize until the middle of the night that I was cold, only a sheet and thin coverlet, and no exra blankets. I piled my clothes on top on me and managed to get a few hours.
The proprieters were really sweet, but immigrants who had trouble with English. I did not complain, but did tell her they needed a new box spring and matress for that room. She told me they had recently bought the business and were gradually trying to upgrade. The room was more suitable for college students on a low budget, however, the price was only $30. less than the hotel I usually go to, which has a pool, a gym, and a free breakfast.
Having gone on and on, I hope everyone had a good Easter. It looks like spring now, some hyacinths are blooming, as well as a whole bunch of tiny blue flowers with white centres. I don't know what they are called. But we are expecting 2-5 cms of snow this evening. Brrr!

Grumpy brought me over to his place and we made Greek on the BBQ. We had a nice afternoon but it was cooling down. He brought me home and it was starting to rain. When next I looked out the snow was white out conditions! I hope no one was out in that!
Off to the eye doctor for both of us. Thankfully I have a bit of my brain today though we book together cause it would be crazy for me to drive. The doc is downtown. Grumpy stands at the door during the exam in case I stumble or forget words. I have the doc explain my stuff to him because I will likely forget. Only sleeping on alternate nights
I was at the eye docs this morning. Visual Field was great, according to her. Pressures good (for me). 17 and 18. She saw a small lesion in my left eye photo she says they will watch.

My eye doc is happy with me. Even with the mess my body is, my eyes are no worse than last year. She is very happy with the state grumpy eyes too. I worry about him being outside plus all the grit flying around.
ina sounds like a good party but shame about the room, we’ve had a few like that, last time we went to England we stopped at a lovely place, beautiful views of the vineyards but the room was basic and beds uncomfortable.
Eyes are so important, so I am glad you (Lynn and Kathy, Grumpy too) had good check ups.
Rainy here this a.m., so we did not walk. I think I may start on some swap cards for our SU team meeting on Monday. Nothing like leaving it until the last minute! It's not manditory, but I hate receiving a card/project, when I don't have anything to give back.

I don't want to go blind so I listen to my eye doc.i already have dry patches on my eyes so I have to be good. I use "tear gel" no preservatives. During the day. At night I use Occunox which is like Vaseline in the eyes but since I am asleep no biggie. Added Systane hydration in little tubes, no preservatives. She is big on no preservatives cause I have been using eye stuff for over 25 years. She finds seeing grumpy so easy compared to me! Lol a different eye doc I had to see during covid wanted to do surgery. She explained it to me in Lynn terms and I agree the surgery 2as unnecessary! Oh my eye doc specializes in dry eyes. No crazy eyelashes growing the wrong way so I have been keeping them in check! I am a good girl! Lol

Lynn, I agree. If I notice changes I make an appointment. That's why the occular migraines don't scare me now. I went right away to have it checked out. This dry eye has been just recently. I need to get to the store to get more drops soon since she has me using it twice a day now.

Ina you really do not need to share the rain. LOL Sorry it kept you from walking though. Guess you were meant to work on those swap cards ;-)
I'm hoping to get enough sun to dry out the yard so I can mow before heavy storms move in again on Sunday. Haven't done a thing in the garden because we can't dry out long enough.

Kelly, were having the same issue. Doesn't dry out long enough to get in the garden with the tiller. It's sunny today but with a slight breeze it's chilly.

For the first time I have moss growing on my balcony! Yup it has been that wet and lack of sun. Some days we get a bit of sun after 4pm. Uuggh. Today is sunny for a change.
