I'm a big fan of Rachel. I had seen that video already.
Hang in there Lynn.
My sister-in-law is also dealing with health frustrations. She is having recurrent bleeding from her left knee joint. This was an issue she had even before she got a replacement 6 years ago. In the past 3 weeks, I have driven her into Guelph 3 times to see the orthopedic surgeon. He keeps putting her off, saying, next time this happens, call me. Today, I drove in the freezing rain for an appointment with him. It's 14 miles. Grace said he spent about 2 minutes with her, said, the next time this happens, call me and I will do a scope. She is beyond frustrated and duscouraged, as she is a type A+ personality and wants it dealt with ASAP! And it does cause a fair bit of pain when it swells up like that.
Driving home, the highway was better; just slushy and slippery, instead of icy and slippery. Did I mention, I can't wait for summer!

This is why I keep a journal and take lots of pictures. That way I can show appointment times and other evidence. I hate when docs ignore what we say. Enough said.
Oh Ina the driving conditions are crazy this time of year. Stay safe!
The material on the back is black panties and bras! This is the second lap quilt. She has just been so busy! Oh she is dealing with colon cancer and she keeps sane by quilting. Having trouble with my words so I hope this made sense
We are heading to the airport just before eight am, our son, DIL and GS are arriving this morning, we have a 90 minute drive so I hope the roads aren’t too busy. I’m very excited, we are having a pre sixth birthday for our GS while he’s here.
OH Lynn! I just went back and looked at the photo of your lap quilt...I really thought that there would be a backing made out of real black panties and bras! LOL I'm such a doofus! I was wondering how she would have sewn them all together! ROFLMAO
Jan, enjoy your family! Such fun!

I'm back. Lynn, are you ok now? As others say, we are all here for one another. Never feel you can't contact one of us if you ever need a chat. Love the quilt your friend created and I did the same as Gracie LOL.
Jan, enjoy your family visit. So special.
Busy catching up at home but thinking of you all and sending hugs.
Lynn/Ina, I still have to update my travel page/photos. Will post some photos on the photography thread too when I get chance. So many.
Have fun

Jayne, happy settling in, before you go off again. Spring is here. The snow is almost gone. Not too warm yet.
i'm still working on VSN cards. Deadline is tomorrow, so maybe I'll get 3 more done. Currently I have 6 left to do, but I know I won't get them all done.

Wow I can't believe it is April already! I am falling asleep any where between midnight and 5am. Uuggh. Was hoping to figure a time zone by now. The joys. Oh it is daffodil month. I say that because the cancer society is usually selling daffodils this month. I wonder what that will look like this year?
Lynn, what a fun quilt! Ina, way to go , doing VSN! I am so glad to see you playing. Jayne, so glad you are traveling and having fun. Covid put an end to our traveling, hubby doesn’t want to anymore. He will be 79 next month; he says he is done. Can’t complain as we took at least 11 cruises and many other trips. So , we had our fun. Also, I am flying next month to go see our grandson graduate from college. So, I definitely can’t complain!
Gracie , you are so funny!
hugs to everybody.
Thanks so much for the reminder Lynn. I had forgotten to post the challenge. Your suggestions are all good. I had already decided to do April showers this month, but a couple of days ago, thought I would make it inclusive. In our part of the world, in April, we can see, sun, cloud, rain, snow, hail, warm and cold, all within a few days of each other. And when we include all kinds of weather, our friends in far away countries will have a voice too.

OK so my hands are a mess. I have psoriasis. Will they ever look good? No. But I can do something. I have those cheap gloves they use when they prepare food. I cover my hands in inexpensive vitamin e cream then put those cheap gloves on and watch my tv show. I need the gloves because I will forget and there will be cream on everything!
Second huge discovery. The website
A slob comes clean
I have a disorganized brain. I forget things. I get distracted. I HATE ORGANIZING! Well I am not alone! Woo-hoo! Now if you are organized or like organizing this isnot the site for you. I like her first step of decluttering... take out a thing that is trash. Even doing that you have managed to ac o polish something! Woo-hoo!
Kathy it is awesome that you are! Me I know I am not. I do have lists! Lol. I have sheets that act like a white board on my kitchen cabinets. When I am having a ' I can't remember my name day' then all the notes are there. I have lists on my bathroom mirror. I have a bunch of reminders on my phone.
Happy Wednesday. We are list people in our house. We have a list for our lists lol. Sometimes we combine them all.
Lynn, are you back in your time zone?
Waving to everyone

Lynn, I use calendars. The bathroom calendar I mark with my initial when I shower or change the tp! Since we don't go anywhere very often I just wash up on some days so I need to remind myself when I last showered! LOL in the kitchen I have a calendar on the counter and I write down what we did that day because days go by and I try to remember and can't always. Things like when I made a particular call or send a letter. I have a list at my computer desk that I'm right down any piece of mail I sent, the date I sent it, and where I mailed it from. Like from my mailbox or from outside the post office or inside the post office. Yes I am extremely organized. I also stock up on items like toilet paper and paper towels and coffee. Can't live without my coffee! I have at least four cans in the cupboard and they are the big ones.

Grumpy is funny. When he lived at home he was a slob. At the end of the week he would bring up a huge pile of dishes with various things growing on it. Now he has his own place and has had people living with him. Well the pandemic ruined his relationship with his finacee so he is alone. The place is immaculate!
I have a planner that I write things in. If it isn't in my planner I don't know it exists. So people know to tell me to write it in my planner now. I have a shared list with grumpy on my phone. Works great when he goes to Costco, I haven't been in 3 years.

Lynn, my DD was a slob at home too. Now, she's still a slob in her woodworking room and garage, but her better half makes her keep the rest of the house clean! LOL
I have a small planner in my purse and write in it all my appts. and any notes I need to remember. It's my second brain...works better than the real brain!

My postie left. He came up to my apartment to say good bye. What a nice guy. He got a posting close to where he lives. I am so happy that he can spend time with his family instead of the minimum 45 minute commute. OK trying to stay awake long enough to take my sleep meds. What craziness is that!
Hugs

Lynn, I am my grandma and have to eat to take my bedtime pills. I used to laugh about my grandma asking for a piece of cake so she could take her bedtime pills! LOL. Now that is me!
I prefer cookies! My mom always has a cookie and milk before bed. She even sets out a small glass and a cookie...just in case she wakes up in the middle of the night and needs a snack! She is going to be 90 and only weighs about 110 pounds! I got my sweet tooth from her.

Popping on to say hi and waving. Winnie is going to be fixed after Easter. I'm catching up on emails and will finish off my travel blog today and add the last photos. We are slowly working down our list. Hugs to you all.
