Ha ha! Debbie, I have the same barrier to winning the lottery - I don't buy tickets. Wouldn't it be nice to win though! Doing some traveling would definitely be on my list of ways to use the money.
Ina, so glad your vision has improved with the cataract surgery. Everyone tells me how much better they can see. I'm not due for it yet. Last month the doc said that it would be a few more years. I would dearly love to be able to see well, but I'm not in a hurry to have surgery. I've worn glasses since I was in first grade, and probably should have had them before that. The glasses don't "correct" my vision to 20/20, so I don't have any idea what people with good vision see.
Yep, I am due for the cataract surgery in a year or so. I don't see 20/20 either, and won't till he does the surgery. I wear tri focals, but didn't start wearing glasses until I was 40. But then it just went down hill fast from then! LOL I just know that my husband, who doesn't wear glasses and is older than me, can see lots further than I can, and gives me troubles all the time about it. Not nice of him, is it?
Happy for your seeing better, Ina.
Sharon
Hey Girls!
Hubby came home 5 hours early today - and didn't give me a heads up. The brat! So I'll have to post the challenge tomorrow morning. Not on the laptop so cant' get to the file.

My story is very similar to yours Sharon. My left eye was really bad, with an opaque cataract (that means it's very ripe) and if it hadn't been for my right eye, I wouldn't have been allowed to drive. I had great eyesight when I was young and didn't need glasses until I was 50, only for reading at first, but gradually progressed to me wearing tri focals now too.

Kelly is this the thread were you posted the organizational challenge? I got an email to the link to today, but when I tried it, I got a message that it is next week. I'm confused. :(
I got a Spellbinder's Grand Caliber yesterday, and I don't have to count it in my total for the year! I got a $100 gift card from work and Micheal's had a 50% off coupon. I still have a little bit left I can spend on crafty stuff. (I haven't updated my S2S totals since the laptop died in March, but I'm doing so much sewing there isn't to much to update) I did buy some new Dreamweaver's stencils last week, but I only have to count half price for them. I got a "here's the deal" to use at my LSS!
yes, I did post an organizational challenge here. I'll dig tonight and see what I can come up with.
I did start an organizational 8-week course today through ScrapRack. I can't afford Tiffany's system but I love her to pieces as a person LOL I wonder if that's the one. I'll PM if you when I find out.

Hey ladies - thanks for letting this one slide yesterday. I was NOT expecting hubby to pull in the yard 5 hours ahead of schedule LOL. I didn't mind the surprise - LOVED IT! But it did throw off the rest of my day. hehe
If you've ever seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Matilda, than you're ready for this week's challenge.
Roald Dahl was born on Sept. 13th, 1916 You can see his official website HERE
Dahl was a gifted author for creating stories both children and adults would enjoy.
Your Challenge today:
Create a colorful card for a child.... and send it. It doesn't have to be for any occasion... just send some love to a child.

I'm not sure if she's till taking sign-ups but you should be able to contact Tiffany from the website. The first Webinar ran today and will run for the next 7 Tuesday's
Did anyone else catch the live Webinar? If not, I know she's posting the webinars for those who are signed up to watch it in their own time.
There is also a FB list. There is a link for that about 1/2 way down that page.
Shout at me if you have any other questions.

Thanks Kelly. I had signed up when you originally posted the link. I got an email with a link to the live webinar today, but I was at work and couldn't watch it. From what I understood it would be available later also. So not sure why my link didn't work. Hmmm. Hopefully I can get what I need from the link you posted tonight.
Woo hoo! Jan and Rita....congratulations! You'll love your packages of goodies! Off to make a card for a child.....and I know just who I will send it to!

Oh thanks so much, can't believe I'm a winner, thanks Ina I didn't realise until I saw your message.
Kelly, I'm so pleased to win but I really think the postage may be too expensive to send a package to Spain, maybe you should choose another winner, or maybe sent it to my sons in San Francisco as it looks like we may be going for Christmas after all.
I would like to join in - this sounds good especially as I have so many supplies to use!! What do I have to do?
Thanks
Anne
Hi Anne. Welcome aboard! I'm sure Kelly will be a long in awhile with a welcome also. In the mean time, it will help to read the first post, figure out how much you want to reward yourself for using items, etc. and figure out how you will track your usage and spending.

PM me both addresses, Jan. I've mailed stuff to Australia, England and Canada. It isn't as bad as you think usually. But if it is, I will send it to your son's and it will be a bonus Christmas gift for you there. ;-)

Welcome to our group, Anne. It's never too late to begin thinking about 'cutting back' on our spending or to be more 'aware' of what we spend as well as use/ don't use kind of thing.
Everything you need is in the first couple of posts. If any of us can answer questions, just post. Most of the girls who are regulars are also veterans to the group and have wonderful tips.

Good morning, everyone. I'm sorry I didn't post this yesterday. I was having real issues turning my head or using my right arm. Something in my neck wasn't right. It's not perfect, but better, today.
Your challenge for this week is an easy one.
Sept. 21st is World Gratitude Day
So I encourage you to make a Thank You card AND send it to someone.
Think of the people who do things for you on a regular basis - maybe it's even part of their job such as your postman, local police dept, fire dept, etc.
BONUS:
When you post the link to your card, tell us here who you sent it to and why.

I've sent you a PM Kelly with both addresses, thanks, hope you neck and arm feel better, nothing worse especially if you forget and turn quickly. I'd say try and take it easy but with all your work commitments it's probably an impossibility.
Good challenge, Kelly. I know just where to send a thank you. Now I just need to find time to make it. This week has to be a whole lot less chaotic than the past week. I've been out of town the past 3 days for library workshops. So glad I don't go to work until noon today. I'm hoping I'll stay busy while at the circulation desk or I'm afraid I'll fall asleep.
Hi everyone! Guess who? Yes, it's Michele that used to be on here quite often but has disappeared the last few months. I've actually tried to stay off the computer so much because I get sucked in so easily and next thing you know it's three hours later. I hope everyone is doing good. If there is anything of important happening, let me know.
I am busy busy busy right now coordinating a fundraiser for the girls' dance team. We are hosting a Holiday Market in November. I'm trying to get vendors, free advertising where ever I can find it. I am also going to be a vendor with my SU business so I've been busy making cards, scrapbook pages and notebooks to sell. Plus 80 card fronts for SU regional convention that is this Saturday. Whew! Let's just say my craft room looks like a tornado came thru.
I have also started posting on my blog again. I had a post on MOnday and today and another scheduled for Friday. check out today's post for an adorable Halloween project.
I'm going to try and check in a couple of times a week. I miss you all!!
Hi, Michele. You have been very busy. Good luck with the fundraiser. Hope it all comes together for you. I know what you mean about the computer sucking you in. Most days I have to set a timer and force myself to get off when the time's up. Not so easy some days.
I've been busy making Christmas cards for my grandson to send to his friends, my snowmen look a bit like the blues brothers in disguise as snowmen!! I ran out of time to upload them, my DH has been busy on the computer this last week!!
Michele, I know exactly where you are coming from, with the computer use! I wish I had your will power, but every day, I just have to find out what the challenge for the day is! do I make cards for the challenges?.........Not very often! Good luck with your fundraising and SU card business! I'll take a quick boo at your blog. Thank goodness I don't have a blog yet, but that is one of my retirement plans.....after I get high speed internet service. I only have another month left of my contract with Bell.

Wow! Talk about a quiet house. I wish mine was as inactive as y'all have been here this week.
Sorry I missed yesterday. Birthday tomorrow... hubby left today. So first words past 'good morning' out of his mouth yesterday was 'since I can't be here for your birthday, what would you like to do today?"
I don't think WORK would have been the answer he was looking for so we spent the day store snooping :-)... including in a scrapbook store and book store

Lots of noise, huh? Okay! I have been pretty busy sorting out new design team work, finishing up with the garden and getting my first grader off to a good start for the last few weeks!
I had the same thoughts Kelly that everyone seemed quiet this last week, so what has everyone been up to, anything exciting?
happy birthday Kelly for tomorrow,
We've just had a great night out tonight, a Beatles tribute band, (Im presuming some of you have actually heard of them!!) the group were Spanish, none of them speak a word of English but sing like the Beatles, even with liverpool accents. amazing.
Y'all are just too funny!
Jan.. your envelope went in the mail today - to Spain. Be interested to see how long it takes to get there. It only cost about another $1.50 to send directly to you and now you don't have to wait til Christmas... you might have another envelope by then. hehe

Thanks so much Kelly, I'll let you know when it arrives, lets hope its quicker than my craft order, sadly it hasn't arrived after four weeks, especially annoying as I added it to my totals!! although the company have said they will resent it which is really good of them.
Getting caught up on some challenges. I made a couple of cards for this week's challenge......to make a vintage inspired card. I've only uploaded one of them so far. Cycling in Paris by yellowrose46 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I'll be undating my totals on Monday, but suffice to say I am doing really well this month. Down to $148.75 in the red. Going to Curves is really helping....it gives me no time to go shopping, and I also credit myself for each workout.

Great challenge Kelly!
I've updated my totals.........last month I was over $200 in the hole, now I am less than $150 in the hole. Going in the right direction. AOCC and S2S and other challenges are really helping me!

Go you!
I need to update my totals. The tickets are all in the file folder. I've just not had time to do the math.
