Good morning! Today the girls are back at school - much to DD2's sadness. I think they are still rather tired from the trip and she wasn't looking forward to choir at 7:25 am. I don't blame them, I wouldn't be ready to sing at 7:25 am either!
Kandie - I LOVE the story about your DH on the phone with the telemarketer. Good for him! I used to work with someone who would give telemarketers a hard time and keep them occupied for quite a while. He said his family would just have to leave the room they were laughing so hard. An example, MCI (remember that telecom company?) called him and he went into some accent and asked them what MCI stood for? The person couldn't answer and he told them it stood for Moscow Communications Inc. and he wasn't going to have any commie company connected to his house! Then the telemarketer kept trying to reassure him that it wasn't a communist company. It was hilarious, I don't know how he thought of these things.
Kathy - I haven't ever watched any Whiskey Cavalier but it sounded interesting when my friend told me about it. I don't think they have decided its future just yet but the rumor is that it won't make a second season.
Kandie - sometimes it is just wonderful to have the house to yourself...especially when it rarely happens. I know I have every Friday off but having that day to myself has been a recent development in my life, and I have been enjoying it!
That is sad about brick & mortar stores closing, I prefer touching something before purchasing it but it is definitely getting more difficult to do that.
Melody - have a fun class, I'm glad the roads look clear.
Vickster - I'm glad you were able to catch his wife and calm him down, that is such a blessing. Definitely continuing to pray.
Talking about family not communicating information, DH and I had a very uncomfortable experience at his sister's second wedding. She had maintained a good relationship with her former in-laws and they were at her wedding. We had had good connections to their son and found ourselves in line at the reception with her former in-laws so we asked about their son. That was when we found out that he had committed suicide. Talk about uncomfortable! We couldn't believe that his sister hadn't told us about her ex!
I am slow today! Woke with a headache from this weather and felt completely out of it. Had to eat breakfast quickly to come back around! A diabetic nightmare sometimes!
I was laughing like crazy, Kandie, reading that story about what your spouse did to the telemarketer! Good for him!!
Prayers for your family Victoria! So glad you got through to them!!
Catherine, you sure are a night owl!! Not good to do too much activity before bedtime! Researchers say you need to relax and calm the body down before bed for a better nights sleep!! Ok who has time for that!! LOL!! Not me ever with five kids!
Hi Melody, we still have some snow on the trees and its been raining/freezing rain this morning again.
My only consolation about asking about their son was that, hopefully, it showed them that we loved their son and wanted to know about him. Obviously we told them we didn't know what had happened.
Aloha Sis Vic! Holy Cow...I saw all the gorgeous cards that you uploaded! Such an Energizer Bunny! So sorry to hear about Matthew and all of you are in my prayers!
Kandie, ROFLOL...you DH is a hoot! I love the telemarketer story! I used to do that a lot when I had a land line phone. One time I took an order for a pizza at 2 am. I pretended I was the pizza person and asked what type of crust, topping, etc. Then when they asked how long it would take, I said, "When Hell freezes over and slammed the phone down." That'll teach them to wake me up!
Kandie, so sorry you're suffering with allergies. My DH is dying with all the pollen too! I swear he goes through a box of tissues a day! He has tried several different allergy medicines. Poor guy!
Melody, glad you don't have to deal with freezing rain! That is the worst. My DH just showed me the weather radar map and there's a bunch of snow headed from the west all the way from Montana and Dakotas heading to Minnesota and Wisconsin! Oh yuck! Spring please come soon! Crazy weather.

Hello Catherine and Ann, we all posted within minutes of each other! I must have been typing when you girls were posting. I'll have to go read your posts now.

Catherine, so sad no one ever told you! That kind of thing holds me back from talking to people many times. I'm so afraid I would ask how their mom, dad, friend, etc is and that I will not have known they had passed. I'm sure you handled it well, and in love. I think its just your nature to be kind! If you lived closer, I'm sure we would be friends! Technically we are!!
The only allergy meds that helped DS was pseudiphedrine (spelling?) But now you have to ask for it. Druggies use it to manufacture drugs so they took it off the shelves and you have to ask for it and you are limited in how much you can get. It also makes you drowsy so you can't take it and work!
What a sad story about your former BIL Catherine! Thinking of your DD2 back at school having to start the day singing! I'm not a morning person at all, so I feel her pain. Don't work too hard today!
Kathy, I only "half" watch shows on TV, I'm usually doing something else too. I just sit with DH to keep him company. Whiskey Cavalier is OK, so if it gets cancelled, no big deal.
Ann, so sorry you woke up with a headache! I hate all those weather fluctuations. I always get headaches with the different atmospheric changes too when I'm in Wis. Spring needs to get to Wisconsin and stay! Enough winter already!
Prayers for everyone today! Special prayers for Linda and her family. I wonder how her mom is doing.

Oh Gracie, that is hilarious that someone woke you up at 2 am to order pizza. Are there really pizza places open and delivering pizza at 2 am?!
I also laughed at the article you posted...hilarious!
And, as you may have picked up, I am totally not a morning person either. The idea of singing at 7:25 am is horrible to me, at least I'm an alto so I wouldn't have to be in the rafters like DD1, she is a first soprano.
Kathy - thank you, that is sweet of you to say. Yes, it was uncomfortable for a moment or two. We hoped that they understood that we had liked their son which is why we asked about him. They were very gracious as well.
Sharon - thanks for the link to the sneak peek. I'm hoping to be able to play at least a bit in real time...we'll see. DH will be working from home tomorrow so...who knows?
Went fishing with DS. He caught the biggest one, but I do catch three blue gill and a little catfish.
Then we cleaned stuff out of his room at moms so she can use it again since he's living in my craft room now. His room up there was so dirty we sneezed and sneezed. I came home and got a shower and had to use nose spray to get the dusty smell out of my head!
Does anyone remember what the card was called where a box sat on top of the greeting card? I am trying to find the instructions and I can't remember the name of the tutorial!
Uggggrrrrr Sis Kathy lol had I known you were going to sell that punch I would have Des get it....mine is all worn and hanging by it’s hinges and taped up lol
I wrote a big message and the iPad went out grrrrr.
I’m also looking and hunting for the itty bitty one that Sis Melody is fond of using as well. I beleive it came in a 3 pack long ago with the itty bitty star and heart . Do you recall the one I’m speaking of or it’s name?
Goodnight Ann! Rest well for your fun day tomorrow!
Just got home, we went to movie with neighbors. It was Captain Marvel. My DH and neighbors love those movies. It sure was action packed. Not my cup of tea but oh well.
I played Mahjongg all afternoon. No card making today. Can't wait for VSN. I'll have to check out Sharon's sneak peak!
Hi Catherine, Sis Vicki and Kathy...fun day of fishing for you and DS!
And yes, Catherine, back in Wisconsin there are several pizza places open in the town I grew up in, a college town and pizza places made lots of money after bar closing time at 2 a.m.

Gracie, that is incredible to me that there are pizza places open that late. Can you tell I grew up in a small town in Oregon? I'm pretty sure none of the pizza places were open that late.
I have good news on DH's office situation. He told me today that he is supposed to report to work in town on Monday so the work from home thing is supposedly only going to be tomorrow. I think the girls had visions of driving themselves to school for several days but it will just be tomorrow. At least that is the status today.
Catherine, good news with DH's job situation! Hopefully, you'll be able to play along with VSN. I'm getting excited to start!
I was reading an older link on rules of VSN and saw it said to upload only one card. I didn't read that in the rules for the VSN Mini challenges in March. I uploaded 2 cards to rolled ink not knowing that, I wonder if I can delete one? Hope it doesn't disqualify me! I would be so sad!

I think it is fine, Gracie. You would just choose one and link to only one card for that challenge when you complete all of them for the prize thread.
Thanks Catherine. I already linked 2 cards to the Mini challenge for the marble rolling ink one. Oops. I don't know how to delete one. I'll PM Kim, the hostess for help.
Wait...Oh, I think I understand you now...I remember there is a separate link for final list of all challenges. So maybe it won't matter.

I don't think it will. There are multiple people who upload more than one card per challenge but then they choose just one of them for the prize thread. I don't think you need to delete anything.
I've been wondering about Linda a lot lately. So sad about her mom and thinking Linda may not be able to craft any more. I sure hope someone will help her out. It sounds like her Dad may not be too supportive. Poor dear! Linda just know that you are in my prayers and thoughts!
Sis Vicki, you and your Ohana and furbabies are also in my prayers and thoughts too!
Well, I guess all of my Alpha sisters are in my prayers each night! You have been a wonderful addition to my life since joining this group! Hugs to all!

I am praying and thinking of Linda and family, and Hawaiian and family, I sometimes think more than my family! I certainly know more and hear more from them than my family! I never know what’s going on in my Sis’s life. And our kids are so far away. They don’t always tell us what all is going on. Anyway still praying for you, my two Alpha Sisters, as well as the rest of you. You all are more communicative than our family, so I know how to pray for you!
So glad That you Catherine and Gracie are playing VSN tonight! Who else is playing, besides Ann & Melody of course, my fellow hostesses. Hawaiian, Kandie, Shirl? I know I am always leaving someone out!

Gracie, what they are talking about for VSN is when you list your cards to qualify for Queen status or Virtuoso-us status.
Only one card should be listed for each challenge! You only need one card for each challenge but if you list more then one then the person checking the qualifying entries must check all of them.
So make as many cards as you would like for each challenge!! Just do not list them on the queens thread!
Ask me how I know this? I made a lot of cards for one of the events and of course poor Sabrina had to check them all!
I tried the VSN link and got a message saying I didn’t qualify to look at that link. ?
Kandie, just in case... here is another way to find it. Click on 'forum' (top or bottom of page) and, as long as you are logged in and a fan club member, which I know you are, the fan club forum is right at the top and Virtual stamp night sneak peeks should be the 2nd thread. There is only one sneak peek this time, because the coordinators forgot until yesterday.
